Bees are dying as are many species of insects around the globe. In some counties of Northern California, the insect populations have already declined some 90% as measured by a US Forest Service biologist. Aquatic insect life has seen the same level of decline in this region. Reports are coming in to geoengineeringwatch.org of similar insect die-offs from many locations around the globe. Though the scientific community is sounding the alarm about the die-off (at least in the case of the bees), they are even now completely in denial or oblivious to the highly toxic climate engineering and its effects on terrestrial life forms. I spoke to one of the head people at the National Bee Association and very carefully tried to inform her on the issue of global climate engineering and its likely connection to the bee die-off. She did not want to hear any data, and made it clear she had absolutely no intention of investigating. This was fall of 2013, the die off continues, and I have never heard a word back from this person. If the bees are succumbing to farm chemicals, why are they just as dead a thousand miles into the wilderness? If the die-off is from the cold winter in the US East (completely engineered winter storms), why are the bees just as dead in the west where record high temperatures have been the norm for too long to remember? So much of academia does not want to know the truth, but rather wishes to stay in comfort zones of total denial. I don’t say this lightly and I say if from a great deal of first hand experience. I have communicated with numerous individuals in academia from many different specialties and with very few exceptions I have found a near total absence of moral responsibility. Many of the so called “experts” are now in many ways accessories to the climate engineering crimes occurring in skies around the globe. Though there are still those scientists that are truly not aware of what is happening in our skies, for many others, their adamant denial of the climate engineering spraying and its effects is inexcusable.

No Bees, No Food, No People

It has been said after the bees are gone, humans will follow. Bees are dying around the globe. Though the scientific community is grabbing at straws trying to find the reason, the “elephant in the room” that is global climate engineering continues to wreak death and destruction across the planet. Farm pesticides were one scapegoat for the bee die off. Certainly such chemicals are part of the problem, but only a part. If this was the real source of the die off, why are the bees just as dead a thousand miles into the wilderness as they are near the farms? The article below seems to put all the blame on climate change, but this is also a “half truth”. The toxic fall out from geoengineering is blanketing the entire globe with bioavailable nano particles which is radically affecting all life forms. Now lets add the constant bombardment of radio frequency transmissions from too many sources to list, the most powerful of which are directly related to the weather modification. All roads, in one way or another, lead back to the decimation caused by the climate engineering insanity.

Ken Caldeira, David Keith, And Carnegie “Science”, The Face Of The Criminal Climate Engineering Cover-up

The power structure's propaganda machine has been put into high gear in a last ditch desperate attempt to hide the ongoing geoengineering planetary omnicide till the last possible moment. Geoengineer Ken Caldeira and Carnegie "Science" have teamed up on a "peer reviewed "study/survey" to "prove" "chemtrails" are not real.

The key image in the science diagram above is the jet spraying "reflective particles" shown in the upper left. Though ocean iron fertilization is also a catastrophic form of geoengineering that is ongoing, the other images (space mirrors and artificial trees) are completely implausible and meant to distract from the reality of the actual geoengineering programs.

The science terms for what is occurring in our skies were of course completely avoided by Caldeira and Carnegie "Science" as such terms would lead people to hard science data and that was of course NOT the goal of the "study/survey". This "peer reviewed" study claims that the vast majority of scientists agreed "chemtrails" were not real (again, the scientists were not asked about the geoengineering/climate modification subject). So, in addition to the inaccurate terms in the "survey", did the vast majority of scientists surveyed really confirm that "chemtrails" were not real? NO, here are the real numbers from the "survey", 475 scientists were solicited for this survey, only 78 responded, that is only just over 16%. Why didn't the rest of the scientists excuse themselves from the survey? Keep reading and find out. When the climate engineering crimes are fully exposed to populations around the globe (once and for all), a complete overturning of our paradigm will commence and those in power know it. The ongoing weather warfare that has been carried out for over 70 years has equally and irreparably harmed every person on the planet along with the entire web of life. The power structure and the criminals who serve them are completely committed to hiding the geoengineering/solar radiation management/climate intervention programs from the public for as long as possible. The effort to bring the climate engineering insanity to light is gaining ground rapidly. This has caused the global controllers to push back with a pathetic piece of total propaganda that does not in any objective way, shape, or form, address the mountain of material facts which conclusively confirm that global climate engineering has long since been deployed. The propaganda "study" in question (which attempts to dispute the geoengineering reality based on the "opinions" of selected academicians) has been republished and reposted by numerous corporate controlled "media" sources that are clearly tasked with serving the global power structure. Who is a primary face that we can place on the machine of criminal deception regarding the ongoing illegal geoengineering assault? Internationally recognized geoengineer Ken Caldeira has been playing a central role in the ongoing public propaganda and deception for a very long time (along with geoengineer David Keith). Caldeira and Keith are clearly heavily committed to the effort to hiding the ongoing climate engineering assault by any means possible. Caldeira has long since teamed up with Carnegie "Science" which has known connections to the defense industry. A look into Caldeira's past government defense department employment is shocking and revealing. In the damning 2 minute video below you can hear Caldeira describe in his own words what he worked on while employed by the US government.

Internationally known geoengineer Dr. David Keith is in the same business as Caldeira, public deception. The 5 minute video below (which features Dr. David Keith, Ken Caldeira, and Obama science advisor, John Holdren), is very revealing and especially damning for geoengineer, Dr. David Keith.

Caldeira's "report" of the "survey" he spearheaded is so full of omissions and completely skewed information that it is difficult to find a starting point with setting the record straight.

1. Science terms were systematically avoided in the propaganda "report" pieced together by Caldeira, Keith, and company. If readers were shown terms like "solar radiation management" (SRM), "stratospheric aerosol geoengineering" (SAG), "cloud albedo enhancement" (CAE), "Stratospheric aerosol injection" (SAI), inquiring individuals might actually investigate the issue and find there is a mountain of science facts to back up claims that climate engineering has long since been fully deployed. Instead (and not surprisingly), Caldeira and crew exclusively used the "chemtrails" term (with one exception) which is not a science term and by design does not lead to credible data.
2. Why didn't Ken Caldeira and associates disclose the fact that not only do all US government scientists have no first amendment protection (which means they are not at liberty to speak openly), but there is actually an ILLEGAL FEDERAL GAG ORDER ON ALL NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND ALL NOAA EMPLOYEES. Are we to believe that any scientists are truly free to speak openly on a subject that is clearly a national security issue at a time when any and all whistleblowers are being relentlessly prosecuted? The ONLY scientists that might be willing to speak out under such circumstances are those that know full well they will be rewarded for supporting the official propaganda and deception.
3. Why didn't Caldeira and his associates bother to mention massive historical senate documents, presidential reports, and military statements of objective that make clear climate engineering is not just theory or conjecture, but has long since been verifiable fact.
4. Why didn't Caldeira make mention of the extensive list of geoengineering patents that describe exactly what we can see with our own eyes occurring in the skies above?
5. Why didn't Caldeira cover the design characteristics of the "high bypass turbofan jet engine"? This engine is mounted on ALL military tankers and ALL commercial carriers and is by design nearly incapable of creating any condensation trails except under the rarest and most extreme circumstances.
6. Why didn't this report from Caldeira and Carnegie "science" address the fact that there are retrofit spray nozzles mounted on the aircraft pylons directly above the jet exhaust stream? This is to create appearance of "condensation trails" when in fact what we are seeing are sprayed particulate trails.
7. Caldeira's report omitted any reference to the critical issue of a rapidly worsening "global dimming" scenario which is the direct objective of the ongoing geoengineering SRM programs (to block the sun's direct rays with light scattering particles).
8. Caldeira's "study" claims that the massive amounts of aluminum showing up in precipitation tests could not be accurate. Yet, we have geoengineers like Dr. David Keith stating on the record the goal of spraying 10,000,000 to 20,000,000 tons of aluminum nanoparticulates in to the atmosphere annually . Much of the precipitation testing that reveals massive amounts of aluminum in the breathable air column has been done by highly credentialed former government scientists/biologists who have done such testing for decades. Globally recognized medical experts like Dr. Russell Blaylock acknowledge the severe human health dangers from such aluminum exposure. Recent peer reviewed science studies have now proven that massive aluminum exposure is also killing our bees.
9. Yet another issue of critical importance that is completely omitted from the Caldeira study is the extreme ozone layer destruction that is occurring around the globe. Available science study makes clear that geoengineering will destroy the ozone layer and that is exactly what is occurring.
10. The Caldeira/Carnegie "report" did not mention the recent statement made about geoengineering by the head of the CIA, John Brennan, in front of the Council on Foreign Relations.
11. Finally, and most crucial of all, the biosphere is free falling into a state of total meltdown with massive methane releases occurring from Earth's strata and is possibly even pushing us toward a scenario known as Venus syndrome. Are we to believe that the US military would first ask our permission before engaging in climate engineering when the top US military leadership has long since stated on the record that the disintegrating climate is the greatest and most immediate national security threat of all?
12. Caldeira's "study" of course did not mention legal actions which are already in process to expose climate engineering that are already underway in Canada and the US.

So what is the bottom line with the Caldeira/Carnegie "study"? The unspun truth is this, there were no relevant facts in Caldeira's purely propaganda piece, none. Only the opinions of selective individuals that have no choice but to repeat the official government narrative of climate engineering denial. To do otherwise would lead to the loss of their careers or worse. The Caldeira/Carnegie "science study" has completely omitted mountains of relevant data (some of which has already been cited), but the "study" in question has also not made any reference to the on the record testimony of numerous experts who have stated conclusively that global climate engineering is an absolute real and ongoing reality. These expert testimonies include former US government scientists, union of concerned scientist members, former pilots, former defense industry technicians, and physicians.

Caldeira's final statement from the "study" is below, does anyone see a single fact cited in Caldeira's rant?

“Despite the persistence of erroneous theories about atmospheric chemical spraying programs, until now there were no peer-reviewed academic studies showing that what some people think are ‘chemtrails’ are just ordinary contrails, which are becoming more abundant as air travel expands. Also, it is possible that climate change is causing contrails to persist for longer periods than they used to.” Caldeira said. “I felt it was important to definitively show what real experts in contrails and aerosols think. We might not convince die-hard believers that their beloved secret spraying program is just a paranoid fantasy, but hopefully their friends will accept the facts.”

Caldiera states above "it is possible that climate change is causing 'contrails' to persist for longer periods than ye used to". Lets examine this statement. For "condensation trails" to increase and last longer there MUST BE more relative humidity in the atmosphere, but is this the case? The global RH graph below could not be more clear, atmospheric RH has been going down for over 60 years.

Atmospheric RH began to drop in direct correlation with the initial deployment of climate engineering programs in the mid to late 1940's. The climate engineering materials are dessicants and create an overall drying effect on the atmosphere. The global dimming effect of SRM programs further dries out the atmosphere overall (though record deluges will continue to increase as the planet rapidly warms and/or due to climate engineering/weather warfare). Again, Mr. Caldeira, when atmospheric RH is dropping radically, why would "condensation trails" increase radically?

If you think Ken Caldeira and David Keith should be exposed to the public at large for their part in the criminal climate engineering cover-up, tell them so yourself and share their contacts and this post with others so they can do the same (Keith's and Caldeira's contacts are hyperlinked to their names above). Such communications should be done in a professional, articulate, and peaceful manner. Attaching credible informational links to any communications sent is also important. Anyone and everyone that is actively or passively participating in the criminal cover-up of the global climate engineering assault should be publicly exposed in the same manner.

It is rationally incomprehensible that we now live in a global society in which so many in academia are in one way or another muzzled, or outright lying in an apparent attempt to secure their paychecks and pensions. Climate engineering is obviously, undeniably, and verifiably occurring in skies all over the globe. The creation of "Weather Made To Order" has been openly discussed by scientists since the 1950s. The public is finally starting to look up and thankfully beginning to re-activate their sense of reason and logic. The climate engineering/weather warfare assault cannot be hidden in plain sight for much longer. Once fully exposed populations around the globe will unite in a shockwave of anger and outrage at what their governments have done to them (and to the planet's life support systems as a whole). This anger and outrage from global populations will certainly extend to all those in academia and the media who have made themselves accessories to the climate engineering crimes by actively or passively participating in the ongoing cover-up. Make your voice heard, we must all do our part in the most critical effort to expose the truth, our time is running out.

Environmental collapse and economic collapse are both advancing, the dominos are falling and the momentum will increase rapidly from here on out. The human race has backed itself into a corner and the power structure is rapidly preparing for what is to come. "We have no democracy in the US", this is the latest conclusion from a Princeton study (a conclusion that all of us should have already come to long ago). From the disintegrating climate to dying bumble bees, the full truth is still not being told by the so called "experts" that are all too willing to lie for a paycheck and a pension right up until the last moment. The global geoengineering/weather warfare/biological warfare assault continues to be ignored and denied by those who are tasked with protecting the public welfare.

Some of the long-standing disinformation and confusion surrounding the true state of the climate is crumbling as the data from the front lines paints an undeniably clear picture. Though the weather-makers are engineering cool-downs everywhere they can, record high temperatures are continuing to increase exponentially around the globe. Record heat and record drought in South Africa, scorching temperatures in Australia, record warm December in the US, record global temperatures in 2014, new record breaking global temperatures in 2015, and even hotter temperatures predicted for 2016. The "global cooling" false narrative that has been pushed by the power structure and the geoengineers (in order to confuse and divide the population) is rapidly breaking down. About the "coming ice age" disinformation, new studies confirm the inertia behind the current planetary meltdown is so immense that the next cyclical ice age (which would have occurred without anthropogenic activity) is at least 100,000 years away. Global geoengineering can create short term toxic cool-downs (which have helped to mask the climate implosion) at the overall cost of an even worse warming. The constant atmospheric aerosol spraying is also fueling record droughts in many locations around the globe. Those that want to see inarguable front line film footage of the disappearing cryosphere should view "Chasing Ice". From countless directions the all out assault on the planet by the human race is taking its toll, what can we do to change course while there is yet time to make a difference?

The army of the awakened is growing rapidly, those who still sleep will soon be forced to open their eyes. It is imperative for each of us to continue sowing seeds of credible information to all the individuals, groups, and organizations that we can manage to reach, the paradigm of propaganda and lies must be broken.

George Monbiot is concerned about airplane emissions. He is so concerned about aviation emissions, he penned numerous essays on the subject since 1996, when he became a columnist for The Guardian. One would think the armies of geoengineering planes flying the last few decades contributing even more to CO2 levels while dispersing tons of aerosols into the atmosphere would also greatly concern Monbiot; however, according to him, he totally dismissed and ignored the issue of ongoing climate engineering until lately, when his friends and an editor of a highly visible environmental magazine urged him to investigate and report. In his area of the U.K., the look-up.org.uk site appeared to be very vocal on the anti-Geoengineering front, so he chose (exclusively, so it appears) this site as his research source.

New Science Study Confirms Contamination From Climate Engineering Assault

The "International Journal Of Environmental Research And Public Health" has just published an in depth research report from Dr. Marvin Herndon that directly implicates the use of highly toxic coal fly ash with 99% certainty as base material in the ongoing climate engineering programs. Why would such a material be utilized for climate engineering? Because coal ash is light enough to remain suspended in the atmosphere for extended periods. Additionally, it would give the climate engineers a form of plausible denial in regard to the source of materials raining down on us. Using a refined form of coal ash as a base material for climate engineering would also effectively disposes of the extremely fine coal ash particles in the process which has always been a problem for the industry.

The curtain of lethal deception continues to be pulled back exposing the total tyranny of those in power. While they claim to be attempting to clean up our air, all available evidence makes clear the fact that highly toxic materials have been intentionally and continuously sprayed into our atmosphere as part of the ongoing climate engineering experimentation programs. Evidence of Coal-Fly-Ash Toxic Chemical Geoengineering in the Troposphere: Consequences for Public Health

Abstract

The widespread, intentional and increasingly frequent chemical emplacement in the troposphere has gone unidentified and unremarked in the scientific literature for years. The author presents evidence that toxic coal combustion fly ash is the most likely aerosolized particulate sprayed by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes and describes some of the multifold consequences on public health. Two methods are employed: (1) Comparison of 8 elements analyzed in rainwater, leached from aerosolized particulates, with corresponding elements leached into water from coal fly ash in published laboratory experiments, and (2) Comparison of 14 elements analyzed in dust collected outdoors on a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter with corresponding elements analyzed in un-leached coal fly ash material. The results show: (1) the assemblage of elements in rainwater and in the corresponding experimental leachate are essentially identical. At a 99% confidence interval, they have identical means (T-test) and identical variances (F-test); and (2) the assemblage of elements in the HEPA dust and in the corresponding average un-leached coal fly ash are likewise essentially identical. The consequences on public health are profound, including exposure to a variety of toxic heavy metals, radioactive elements, and neurologically-implicated chemically mobile aluminum released by body moisture in situ after inhalation or through transdermal induction.

1. Introduction

The interplay of political, military, and commercial interests during World War II led to the development and grand-scale deployment of a host of herbicides and pesticides such as dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT). In her 1962 book Silent Spring [1] Rachel Carson called attention to the unintended consequences of herbicide and pesticide use, and launched the modern environmental movement. Half a century later there is growing evidence of a grave new and persistent global environmental health threat, again fomented by the interplay of political, military, and commercial interests. To date this new threat, posed by widespread, intentional tropospheric aerosol-particulate emplacement, has gone unremarked in the scientific literature for more than one decade. Here, based upon original research, the author discloses substantial evidence as to the identification and nature of the specific particulate substance involved and begins to describe the extent of this global public health and environmental threat.

Recently there have been calls in both the popular and scientific press to begin discussions about the possibility of engaging in future stratospheric geoengineering experiments to counter global warming [2,3]. Geoengineering, also called weather-modification, has been carried out for decades at much lower altitudes in the troposphere. The recent calls for open discussion of climate control or geoengineering tend to obscure the fact that the world’s military and civilian sectors have modified atmospheric conditions for many decades as has been described by science historian, James R. Fleming [4]. Some of the early weather-modification research resulted in programs like Project Skywater (1961–1988), the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s effort to engineer “the rivers of the sky”; the U.S. Army’s Operation Ranch Hand (1961–1971), in which the herbicide Agent Orange was an infamous part; and its Project Popeye (1967–1971), used to “make mud, not war” over the Ho Chi Minh Trail. These few examples of weather-modification, all of them secret at the time they were engaged, show that the weather is in the words of the military, “a force multiplier” [5].

In the spring of 2014, the author began to notice tanker-jets quite often producing white trails across the cloudless blue sky over San Diego, California. The aerosol spraying that was happening with increasing frequency was a relatively new phenomenon there. The dry warm air above San Diego is not conducive to the formation of jet contrails, which are ice condensate. By November 2014 the tanker-jets were busy every day crisscrossing the sky spraying their aerial graffiti. In a matter of minutes, the aerosol trails exiting the tanker-jets would start to diffuse, eventually forming cirrus-like clouds that further diffuse to form a white haze that scattered sunlight, often occluding or dimming the sun. Aerosol spraying was occasionally so intense as to make the otherwise cloudless blue sky overcast, some areas of sky turning brownish (Figure 1). Sometimes the navigation lights of the tanker-jets were visible as they worked at night, their trails obscuring the stars overhead; by dawn the normally clear-blue morning sky already had a milky white haze. Regardless, aerosol spraying often continued throughout the day. The necessity for daily aerosol emplacement stems from the relatively low spraying-altitudes in the troposphere where mixing with air readily occurs bringing down the aerosolized particulates and exposing humanity and Earth’s biota to the fine-grained substance. The author’s concern about the daily exposure to ultra-fine airborne particulate matter of undisclosed composition and its concomitant effect on the health of his family and public health in general prompted the research reported here.

Since the beginning of the 21st century there have been numerous observations of tanker-jet aerosol particulate spraying. Sometimes samples of rainwater, soil, and other residue were collected by concerned citizens and sent to commercial certified laboratories to be analyzed, although without an understanding of what tests should be made. The composition of the aerosolized particulate matter has been a tightly held secret. In the face of this unknown, there has been much sincere speculation in books and on the Internet, but also disinformation, attempts to convince the public that the particulate trails are nothing more than ice crystals formed from jet exhaust, and to pin on concerned citizens the pejorative moniker “conspiracy theorists”.

From the variety of observations reported in books and on the Internet, one might reasonably conclude that, at least during the early years, various weather-modification experiments were undertaken. But as indicated by photographic data and chemical analyses of post-spraying rainwater, one particular methodology was developed that ultimately was observed by the author to be operational on a daily basis in the skies over San Diego, and reportedly is now operational over much of the United States and in a number of foreign countries as well [6]. Beside the observational commonality, post-spraying rainwater was frequently found to contain aluminum and barium, two elements usually not present in naturally-occurring rainwater; sometimes strontium, a third element, was included in the tests and determined to be present [7]. The presence of strontium together with barium suggests that the undisclosed particulate matter is derived from a natural product, because alkaline earth elements, Group II on the Periodic Table, behave similarly and are often found together in nature. For example, cement contains calcium and often contains some strontium as well. That bit of insight evoked further considerations related to the potential costs and logistics of annually producing millions of tons of the undisclosed particulate matter and doing so out of public view.

Industrial coal burning produces four types of coal combustion residuals (CCRs): fly ash, bottom ash, boiler slag, and flue gas desulfurization product (FGDP), i.e., gypsum. Bottom ash is heavy and settles out; coal fly ash, on the other hand, is comprised of micron and sub-micron particles that would go up the smokestack unless captured and stored. Because of its well-known adverse environmental health effects, Western nations now mandate that coal combustion fly ash is to be captured and stored [8,9]. Representatives of coal burning utilities and their trade organizations actively promote commercial applications for coal fly ash, which, to name a few, include uses as additives to Portland cement, agricultural soil amendments, replacement for compacted backfills, mine reclamation, melting river ice, and as subsurface for roads. Some applications pose potential environmental health risks in the short term and/or in the long term as coal fly ash is a concentrated repository for many of the trace elements that were trapped in coal during its formation, including, but not limited to, arsenic, barium, beryllium, boron, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, lead, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, selenium, thallium, thorium, vanadium and uranium.

Although seemingly unacknowledged in publicly accessible reports and in scientific literature as a potential material for geoengineering, coal fly ash is one major global waste product stream with the appropriate grain-size distribution for aerosolized tropospheric spraying that is readily available at extremely low cost and with existent processing and transport infrastructure. The author submits the following hypothesis: Coal fly ash is most likely the aerosolized particulate sprayed in the troposphere by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes.

The objectives of the research are to provide substantial scientific evidence as to the correctness of the hypothesis, namely, that coal fly ash is the aerosolized particulate sprayed in the troposphere by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes and to reveal some of the adverse human public health consequences and the antagonistic consequences on Earth’s environment and biota.

2. Experimental Section

The methodology is two-fold: (1) Compare element ratios analyzed in rainwater, which were leached in the atmosphere from aerosolized particulates, with the corresponding element ratios that were extracted from coal fly ash into water in laboratory leaching experiments; and, (2) Compare the element ratios analyzed in dust collected outdoors on a HEPA filter with corresponding element ratios analyzed in coal fly ash material.

One of the reasons coal fly ash is sequestered, usually in lined ponds, is that a variety of toxic chemical elements are readily extracted by water, including but not limited to aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, thallium, lead, mercury and uranium. Scientists have conducted leaching experiments on coal fly ash samples, but none of the various investigations appear to be as thorough as that of Moreno et al.[10]. They obtained coal fly ash samples from 23 different European sources (from Spain, The Netherlands, Italy and Greece) which they analyzed for 33 chemical elements. They leached 100 grams of each coal fly ash sample with one liter of distilled water for twenty four hours, and then determined the concentrations of 38 elements in the leachate, the water-extract, from each experiment. Although there were some variations observed in the pre-leach coal fly ash chemical compositions and in the relative proportion of extracted elements in the leachate and variations in the resulting pH, the overall pattern of leachate elements was remarkably consistent among the different fly ash sources. Table 1 summarizes the average values for European coal fly ash pre-leach compositions and the average values of leachate chemical compositions that include those used in the present investigation.

With its normally limited natural cloud cover San Diego is ideal for observing tanker-jet dispersal of ultra-fine particulates. Because the city lacks heavy industries and their particulate pollution, it is an ideal environment to ascertain by rainwater measurement the nature of the specific particulates being sprayed which are leached by rainwater. The author personally collected rainwater samples for chemical analysis and compared those data to corresponding average values of experimental leachate chemical analyses [10], which as shown below provides a firm basis for identifying the particulate substance being emplaced as an aerosol in the troposphere as coal fly ash. Because of persistent spraying, rainwater devoid of spray contamination was not available.

For three months during a period of intense aerial spraying in 2011, an individual in Los Angeles, California captured and had analyzed outdoor air-borne particulates.The results were posted on the Internet [11]; subsequently the author obtained the analytical laboratory report. The requested analyses returned results for aluminum, barium and twelve trace elements. But the meaning of the data was not clear at the time. Comparison of those data with corresponding pre-leach average coal fly ash chemical analyses (Table 1), as shown below, further reinforces the correctness of identifying the particulate substance as coal fly ash that is being sprayed into the troposphere by tanker-jets for geoengineering.

3. Results and Discussion

The average elemental composition of each of the 38 elements from the 23 different sources of European coal fly ash leach studied by Moreno et al. [10], presented as ratios relative to aluminum, is shown in Figure 2 as a function of Atomic Number. Normalization to one common element, in this case aluminum, makes comparisons possible when total mass or total volume is not available. In this plot, the less abundant leachate element ratios are not shown. Note that aluminum (Atomic Number 13), strontium (38), and barium (56), elements which are sometimes determined in post-spraying rainwater, are relatively abundant.

Two commercial state-of-California certified laboratories, Babcock Laboratories, Inc. and Basic Laboratory, were engaged for the San Diego rainwater analyses by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Their analytical results were consistent to within 2%–10%. Figure 3 shows concentrations of 8 chemical elements, normalized to aluminum, measured in post-aerosol-spraying San Diego rainwater for comparison with corresponding element ratios in the [10] water-extract of coal fly ash leaching experiments (Table 1).

Like a fingerprint, the 8-element ratios of the San Diego rainwater extract of the tropospheric-emplaced particulate matter match element-by-element the laboratory water extract of coal fly ash within the range of observations. Said another way, the tropospheric-emplaced matter has the same water-leach characteristics as coal fly ash for at least eight elements, which is indeed strong evidence of the identification of the aerosolized substance as coal fly ash. For any indicated element the difference between the rainwater extract and average experimental coal fly ash element extract is less than the differences observed between the element extracted experimentally from the various coal fly ash sources [10].

Without mass or volume totals, statistical treatment was somewhat limited. Nevertheless, at a 99% confidence interval, the assemblage of elements in the rainwater and in the corresponding experimental leachate have identical means (T-test) and identical variances (F-test). Furthermore, the 8-element “fingerprint” shown in Figure 3 is comprised of elements with different chemical properties and thus provides extremely strong validation of the hypothesis: Coal fly ash is most likely the aerosolized particulate sprayed in the troposphere by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes.

One limitation in the use of commercial laboratories is in their limits of detection for some elements. Note from Figure 2 that the experimental coal fly ash leachate element ratios span six orders of magnitude. When academic research laboratories, with their high sensitivity capabilities, hopefully repeat the post-spray rainwater measurements, additional “matched pairs” for other elements will doubtlessly be added to the coal fly ash “fingerprint” presented in Figure 3.

For about fifteen years concerned individuals have sampled water, soil, and other materials in attempt to learn what is being sprayed into the atmosphere. From 15 May 2011 through 15 August 2011, a period intense tanker-jet spraying, an individual in Los Angeles, California operated a Honeywell model HHT081 HEPA Filter in her backyard in the vicinity of Olympic and La Cienega Boulevard, Los Angeles, California, 90035. Samples were collected and then transferred via chain-of-custody to American Scientific Laboratory, a state-of-California certified laboratory for analysis of aluminum, barium, and twelve trace elements by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.

Figure 4 shows concentrations of 14 chemical elements, normalized to aluminum, measured in the Los Angeles HEPA air filter dust for comparison with corresponding average element ratios for un-leached coal fly ash data (Table 1) from [10].

Coal fly ash from difference sources vary somewhat in their relative proportions of chemical elements. Figure 5, a plot of the normalized high and low value for each of the 14 respective elements from un-leached coal fly ash [10], provides an indication of the range of variation in the coal fly ash material from different sources. Significantly, for any indicated element ratio in Figure 4, the difference between HEPA dust material and average coal fly ash composition is generally less than the extremes observed between high and low values of the various coal fly ash sources shown in Figure 5. Furthermore, the 14-element “fingerprint” shown in Figure 4 is comprised of elements with different chemical properties, implying a unique process, and thus further provides extremely strong validation of the hypothesis: Coal fly ash is most likely the aerosolized particulate sprayed in the troposphere by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes.

Reliable observers have reported tropospheric aerosol emplacement since the late 1990s. In the early phases of the program one might suspect that a variety of substances were tried. At what point was coal fly ash chosen as the preferred substance? In the past, one of the great uncertainties about analyzing post-aerosol rainwater has been which elements to measure. Aluminum was commonly measured, while barium and strontium were sometimes measured; other chemical elements were rarely measured. As aluminum, barium and strontium are prominent water-extracts of coal fly ash, their presence in post-aerosol rainwater might be taken as a 3-element fingerprint of aerosolized coal fly ash, albeit with much less certainty than the 8-element fingerprint shown in Figure 3. Based upon the 3-element fingerprint, with its limited certainty, the year 2002 is the earliest data found to date showing simultaneous measurement of these three elements in post-aerosol rainwater [12]. Within that certainty-limitation, the 3-element fingerprint in post-spraying rainwater measurements indicates the global extent of tropospheric aerosol coal fly ash dispersing: such measurements have been made in the United States, Canada, France, Portugal, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. Further, this list is unlikely to be exhaustive. The global extent of tropospheric coal fly ash emplacement is inferred from rainwater analyses reporting the three elements (aluminum, barium and strontium) that are prominent in the leachate of laboratory coal fly ash water-leach experiments.

The research reported here provides strong evidence that coal fly ash is the aerosolized particulate sprayed in the troposphere by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes. The evidence presented warrants discussion as to (1) what additional investigations should be undertaken to confirm further the identity of coal fly ash as the aerosolized particulates, (2) the consequences of troposphere-emplaced coal fly ash on public health and on Earth’s biota, and (3) the resultant geophysical implications.

The rainwater and dust sample collection, in San Diego and Los Angeles, respectively, took place in areas far removed from aerosol-polluting heavy industries under circumstances of intense and persistent aerial spraying of fine grain particulates that left a white haze in the sky. The tropospheric lifetime of the particulates was sufficiently short as to necessitate near-daily spraying, which is an argument against the collected samples originating far away, such as from China due to the global movement of weather. Whereas the “fingerprint” evidence is compelling, strongly suggesting identical processes/materials, additional investigations should be undertaken and, indeed, are being planned.

Off the coast of Southern California individuals have observed tanker jets “dumping” massive quantities of particulate matter in relatively short bursts, colloquially called “bombs”, which disperse significantly before prevailing winds bring the matter to the coast line. One plan under consideration is to use aircraft to capture in flight some of the concentrated material, which would then be analyzed physically and chemically, and as well be subjected to leaching experiments.

In the 1970s acid rain [13] liberated aluminum in a chemically mobile form from otherwise inert sources, such as mine tailings, that posed an environmental health threat to a host of organisms [14,15]. Forest die-offs, reduced survival or impaired reproduction of aquatic invertebrates, fish, and amphibians were directly connected to aluminum toxicity, while indirect effects on birds and mammals were also identified [16]. Tropospheric aerosolized coal fly ash poses a similar environmental health threat without necessarily requiring an acid environment. In the experiments by Moreno et al. [10], distilled water led to aluminum extraction while other chemical reactions yielded leachate pH values in the range 6.2–12.5. The pH of post-spraying rainwater is a function of the composition of the coal fly ash and the degree of its equilibration with atmospheric water. Natural rainwater has an acidic pH of about 5.7 due to interaction with atmospheric CO2 [17]. The pH of the analyzed post-spraying San Diego rainwater was 5.2 whereas in instances elsewhere it has been observed as high as 6.8.

Long exposure to air pollution particulates, not necessarily coal fly ash, in sizes ≤ 2.5µm (PM2.5) is associated with morbidity and premature mortality [18,19]. One may therefore reasonably conclude that aerosolized coal fly ash, at least the PM2.5 component, is detrimental to human health.

The ultra-fine particles of aerosolized coal fly ash do not remain at tanker-jet operational altitudes: they mix with and pollute the air people breathe. Tropospheric aerosol coal fly ash can potentially endanger humans through two primary routes: (1) ingestion of rainwater-extract of coal fly ash toxins, directly or after concentration by evaporation and (2) particulate intake through inhalation or through contact with the eyes or skin [20]. In the latter instance, harm to humans can arise from in situ body-fluid extraction of coal fly ash toxins [21] as well as from the consequences of tissue contact [22]. Coal fly ash that is PM2.5is readily entrained in terminal airways and alveoli and retained in the lungs for long periods of time; the small grain size enables it to penetrate and reach deep within the airways where it can cause inflammation and pulmonary injury [23].

Coal fly ash contains a host of potentially leachable toxins, including aluminum, arsenic, barium, beryllium, boron, cadmium, chromium (III), chromium (IV), cobalt, lead, manganese, mercury, selenium, strontium, thallium, thorium, and uranium. Coal fly ash has been described as being more radioactive than nuclear waste [24]. Moreover, many of the most toxic elements are enriched in the PM2.5 component of coal fly ash [25]. Whether or not the coal fly ash used for geoengineering is selectively enriched in PM2.5is not known, but enrichment in the small particle size fraction would be advantageous in yielding greater surface area for sunlight reflection.

The extent of adverse health consequences from aerosolized coal fly ash depends on a variety of factors including age, physical condition, individual susceptibility, concentration and exposure duration. Moreover, some toxic elements from tropospheric spraying of coal fly ash, in addition to direct bodily input by inhalation or transdermal infusion, may be concentrated by processes in nature. Arsenic, for example, one of the coal fly ash toxins, poses the greatest health threat in its inorganic form. Arsenic can be taken up by a variety of organisms and, like mercury, can be passed up the food chain [26]. Arsenic can be involved with hypertension-related cardiovascular disease [27], cancer [28], stroke [29], chronic lower respiratory diseases [30] and diabetes [31]. Arsenic leached from coal fly ash taken in by pregnant women can crossover the placenta to the fetus [32]. Concentration and exposure duration increase likelihood of this happening.

The evidence presented here of deliberate, widespread and pervasive spraying of coal fly ash into the troposphere, which mixes with the air people breathe, opens new research possibilities into the physiological effects of long-term exposure to a substance that potentially releases multifarious toxins upon exposure to internal body fluids. Those subjects are beyond the scope of the present article. Nevertheless, mention should be made of perhaps the least appreciated coal fly ash potentially water-extracted toxin, chemically mobile aluminum.

Although aluminum is abundant in the Earth’s crust, it is highly immobile. Consequently, our planet’s biota, including humans, have not developed natural defense mechanisms for exposure to chemically mobile aluminum. It is a matter of grave concern that aluminum in a chemically mobile form can be readily extracted from coal fly ash with rainwater or in situ with body fluids. Aluminum is implicated in such neurological diseases as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) [33,34,35,36,37] all of which have markedly increased in recent years. Aluminum is thought to impair fertility in men [38] and is also implicated in neurological disorders of bees and other creatures [39,40,41].

If in fact some instances of neurological diseases are related to weather-modification activities during the last two decades involving the tropospheric coal fly ash aerosols, then the recent ramp-up in tanker-jet spraying, as witnessed by this author in San Diego, will likely cause a sharp spike in their occurrence. Epidemiological investigations of wide-ranging scope, including for example childhood and elderly disorders and birth defects, may begin to shed light on the human toll extracted by spraying coal fly ash into the troposphere. Those investigations should especially consider airline flight crews and frequent airline travelers who breathe the air at nearly the same altitude as the spraying.

The near-daily intense aerial spraying over San Diego witnessed by the author is part of a multinational Western, if not global, program that has been observed for a number of years in United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, but never acknowledged publically by officials. Without public candor it is difficult to know the underlying motivations and the range of specific activities involved. One thing seems certain: the potential damage to public health and the environment is likely to be unprecedented in its planetary scope.

The process of burning coal concentrates the impurities in coal fly ash, an unnatural anhydrous chemical complex whose environmental health hazards are well-known. For decades individuals and organizations have fought long and hard for regulations requiring sequestration of this hazardous industrial waste product. So what, one might ask, is the reason for the current, widespread, pervasive spraying of coal fly ash into the troposphere with its potential harm to public health and the environment?

Since the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was established in 1988 there has been much interest in global warming, which is perceived as a security threat. Geoengineering offers two basic approaches to the problem of global warming: Remove and trap carbon dioxide, or block sunlight from reaching the Earth. Trapping carbon dioxide is a difficult, prohibitively expensive, undeveloped technology. Blocking sunlight is almost universally recognized by geoengineers as being relatively inexpensive, easy to implement, and moreover has a precedent in nature: major volcanic eruptions inject ash into the upper atmosphere (stratosphere) which may remain suspended for a year or more, dimming sunlight and momentarily cooling Earth.

While academicians debate geoengineering as an activity that might potentially be needed in the future [2,3], evidence suggests that Western governments/militaries moved ahead with a full scale operational geoengineering program. But instead of mining and milling rock to produce artificial volcanic ash in sufficient volumes to cool the planet, they adopted a low-cost, pragmatic alternative, but one with consequences far more dire to life on Earth than global warming might ever be, and used coal combustion fly ash. To make matters worse, instead of placing the material high into the stratosphere, where there is minimal mixing and the substance might remain suspended for a year or more, they opted to spray coal fly ash into the lower atmosphere, the troposphere, which mixes with the air people breathe and gets rained down to ground.

Aside from the serious potential toxicity ramifications on public health and Earth’s biota that derive directly from aerosolized emplacement of coal fly ash into the troposphere, such pervasive, widespread, tanker-jet spraying affects weather and Earth’s heat balance in ways that act in opposition to cooling the Earth. Those who reside in locations where natural cloud cover is rare, like San Diego, notice the rapid cooling after the sun goes down, except on cloudy days when heat is retained. During the daytime coal fly ash clouds may block sunlight, but at night may retard heat loss from the Earth, act to prevent rainfall, and contribute to global warming. Nighttime tanker-jet spraying, presumably to the hide the activity from public view, further retards heat loss.

There is yet another consequence of tropospheric coal ash spraying that is contrary to cooling the Earth and has potentially far-reaching adverse ecological and public health implications: weather modification and concomitant disruption of habitats and food sources. As reported by NASA, “Normal rainfall droplet creation involves water vapor condensing on particles in clouds. The droplets eventually coalesce together to form drops large enough to fall to Earth. However, as more and more pollution particles (aerosols) enter a rain cloud, the same amount of water becomes spread out. These smaller water droplets float with the air and are prevented from coalescing and growing large enough for a raindrop. Thus, the cloud yields less rainfall over the course of its lifetime compared to a clean (non-polluted) cloud of the same size” [42]. In addition to preventing water droplets from coalescing and growing large enough to fall to Earth, coal fly ash, which formed under anhydrous conditions, will hydrate, trapping additional moisture thus further acting to prevent rainfall. That may cause drought in some areas, floods in others, crop failure, forest die-offs, and adverse ecological impacts, especially in conjunction with the chemically-mobile-aluminum contamination from coal fly ash. The consequences ultimately may have devastating effects on habitats and reduce human food production.

4. Conclusions

The original research reported here provides strong evidence for the correctness of the hypothesis: Coal fly ash is most likely the aerosolized particulate sprayed in the troposphere by tanker-jets for geoengineering, weather-modification and climate-modification purposes. That evidence is based upon the discovery that: (1) the assemblage of 8 elements in rainwater and in the corresponding experimental leachate are essentially identical. At a 99% confidence interval, they have identical means (T-test) and identical variances (F-test); and, (2) the assemblage of 14 elements in the HEPA dust and in the corresponding average un-leached coal fly ash are likewise essentially identical.

Evidence indicates that tropospheric spraying of coal fly ash (1) has been taking place throughout the 21st century, (2) on an international scale, and (3) with significant ramping-up since about 2013. Throughout that period of time there has been a program of well-orchestrated disinformation, but no public disclosure, no informed consent, and no public health warnings.

The profound implications on environmental health include exposing humans and Earth’s other biota to: (1) chemically mobile aluminum, implicated in neurological disorders and botanic demise; (2) exposure to toxic heavy metals and radioactive elements; (3) preventing rainfall with concomitant loss of food production and habitats; and, (4) possibly contributing to global warming with concomitant arctic melting.

More than a half century ago Rachel Carson called the world’s attention to the unintended consequences of herbicides and pesticides widely employed by agriculture. Instead of turning a blind eye, people everywhere became motivated to stop the worst of this environmental onslaught. Today we are fully aware of the vast interconnected web of dependencies and symbioses that comprise life on our planet. Earth exists in a state of dynamic biological, chemical, and physical equilibrium whose complexity far exceeds the understanding of contemporary science. The pervasive tropospheric spraying of coal fly ash threatens this equilibrium, whose delicacy or whose resilience we cannot quantify. Human health is at risk as is Earth’s biota. Are we to remain silent? Or will we exercise our primal right to speak in our own defense as a species and question the sanity of emplacing coal fly ash in Earth’s perpetually moving atmosphere?

The Most Serious Threat? Or Climate Science 101?

The POTUS (President of the United States, or perhaps Puppet of same) has made it clear, most recently in an address to the cadets at the Coast Guard base in New London, CT, that climate change (more appropriately called global heating, or global meltdown) poses a serious threat to the planet's security. He did not clarify, however, what he meant by "the planet's security". From this citizen's perspective it is very clear that global warming poses an existential threat to every living thing on the planet; the planet itself, however, seems likely to remain on course around its star for millennia to come.

How do we know that global warming is a problem? It's in the data, all of which is available on this website already. Just one example: fourteen of the fifteen hottest years on record are to be found in the new century (that is, somewhat shockingly, in the last 15 years); the fifteenth is 1998. Already 2015 is on track to be the hottest year ever. Okay, that was two examples.

Obviously, if we care about the planet, we need to reverse global warming. And since we humans have caused it, we can, at the very least, stop doing whatever led to the problem in the first place. There is no doubt that human activity, primarily the wanton burning of fossil fuels, is causing global temperatures to rise. If you meet a skeptic, here is a simple defense of that statement – that is to say, that fact.

A Tale of Three Planets

One need only look over the planet's shoulders, toward Venus and toward Mars, then to our own blue Earth, to see a perfect model of the Greenhouse Effect (GE) that keeps life thriving on the planet in the middle, while making it impossible for life to develop (life as we know it, at any rate) on the other two.

The GE is quite simple to explain to the skeptic. Sunlight, in the form of… well, light (electromagnetic radiation, if you want to be more precise, because there are non-visible wavelengths in addition to the light) arrives at a planet, warms its surface, and is radiated back upward as heat (or thermal energy – you have to choose the terms based on the look of understanding or confusion on the sceptic's face here).

This radiant heat energy (because it involves only long wavelengths) interacts differently with chemical gases in the atmosphere differently than does the full spectrum of electromagnetic radiation from the sun. Specifically, gases like carbon dioxide, water, and methane will reflect some of the heat, sending it back downward like the roof of a greenhouse (hence the name for the… you get it). Just as in a greenhouse, the area under the atmospheric "roof" gets warmer.

Mars, for starters, has no atmosphere to speak of. No atmosphere means no gases, hence, no GE. Hence, a very cold and barren (but nicely red) planet. Venus, over the other shoulder, has a planet thick with greenhouse gases, thus is extremely hot; and Venus is incapable of sustaining life as well (and Venus would not be significantly warmer than Earth without those gases, even though it is closer to the sun).

In the middle is our Earth, with its mix of gases wherein CO2 used to be present at under 300 parts per million (ppm). However, our industrial age burning of fossil fuels has filled the atmosphere with increasing levels of CO2, up to and now over 400 ppm – and done so inevitably. This is a fact that cannot be wished or hand-waved away. Increasing the greenhouse gases increases the heat- retaining capacity of a planet – again, this happens inevitably.

These two facts alone are proof that human activity has caused the planet to warm, regardless of what may have been happening with sunspots, regardless of whatever trend (warming or cooling) the planet has otherwise been on. The planet has means of adapting, within limits, but it also has a need to maintain a balance. Increasing a greenhouse gas by over 33% is utterly disrespectful of that balance.

Putting more red dye in a pool will make make it redder; you can dilute the pool water all you want, or add to it from other sources, but the dye still has the effect of making the water redder than it was. That is all that need be said to refute the claim that humans have not contributed to global warming. It may not satisfy all sceptics, but some people think there is virtue in claiming to keep an open mind (an attitude they would drop in a heartbeat if you told them they were about to be run over from behind by a buffalo, when they finally heard it snorting a half-foot away from them… but alas, too late. Same story with global warming, unfortunately.)

At present, the warming caused by increasing CO2 is intense enough that it is causing the tundra in Arctic regions to melt, and ocean waters to warm dramatically, both of which are causing methane (an extremely potent greenhouse gas – more than 100 times as heat-trapping as CO2 in the short term) to be released into Earth's atmosphere.

The level of CO2 is now well above 400 ppm, although several years ago we were warned that 350 ppm represented a point of no return. The methane level could soon begin to rise exponentially (it could, in fact, be doing that now). Again, all the data and all the sordid truth is to be found, fully documented, on this website, including a discussion of Venus syndrome. A familiarity with the latter might be handy, since the planet is well on its way to becoming more like Venus than like Mars. More like Venus than like Earth as we once knew it, more to the point.

While the Earth's biosphere and adaptive abilities add more variables to the climate equation, those have nothing to do with the direct correlation between the GE, CO2 and humans. Climate change deniers like to say that human activity could have made things swing either way, but it hasn't. It has made things swing toward a rapidly overheating planet – one that will soon be uninhabitable, if we don't make some drastic changes without delay.

The Blue Planet Blues

So what's a species to do, when it knows it has spoiled the beautiful relationship it had enjoyed for eons with its home planet? Going to outer space and going underground are for the ultra-rich exclusively (and both are doomed to failure; we haveto stand by our planet no matter what). The POTUS approach involves, apparently, tough love: he did, after all, insist that this was an issue of a threat to our national security. I must confess, I'm still scratching my head over that one, as well as his predilection for making this climate change speech to military (and other Homeland Security) audiences. Are they going to shoot the heat out of the sky? Does he not understand that that isn't the function of heat-seaking missiles?

I was surprised to notice that the POTUS did not mention putting a halt to jet-produced contrails as a necessary measure. After all, if those strangely non-cloud colored trails filthening our skies really are, as all government officials claim, contrails, that means there is significantly more cloud cover in the atmosphere than there need be; as we all know (from watching the difference in temperature drop on a clear versus a cloudy night, for example – meteorologists used to love to point this out), clouds hold in heat, thus adding to the greenhouse effect.

Given that even with more primitive technology jets were, for decades, able to fly all around without producing those spreading, persistent, non-cloud colored (ahem) clouds, we certainly could and should immediately take the step of eliminating all (ahem) contrails.

Or could it be that all those conspiracy theorists are right that they aren't really contrails, and there is geoengineering running amuck even as you read this?

One consideration that springs to mind: would jet engines really have gotten so much worse as time went on? After all, even the aesthetic effect of those trails is good grounds for eliminating them; besides which, they block the sun and therefore negatively impact plant growth (which means less CO2 absorbers, which means more greenhouse gases to cause global warming). But the reality is obvious. They are not contrails; they are mixtures of metals and other materials being sprayed intentionally into the atmosphere. They are the most deadly component of geoengineering. Documentation: all over this website.

Still, it is encouraging that the ruling class finally seems committed to taking positive action (taking them at their word). All the right measures have already been discussed at length, but lets go through the most important one in condensed form.

The first step is to halt the activities that are causing runaway warming. Without question, the first to go is, and must be, the spraying of metal particulates into the sky, along with all other forms of geoengineering. Not only has research proven that the spraying only worsens global warming, though that is reason enough, even for the most wooden-headed puppet.

Perhaps more importantly, the planet cannot recover unless its healing mechanisms are intact, or at the very least salvageable. Among other problems, the metals being sprayed (among which certainly aluminum, barium and strontium, and possibly others) are killing whole forests and other forms of plant life by poisoning them, by killing off pollinators like bees, by causing them to stop absorbing the nutrients they need from the soil, by reducing sunlight, and (somewhat paradoxically) by increasing the wavelengths of sunlight that can kill them on contact. The only way to salvage what is left of Earth's self-healing abilities is to stop geoengineering immediately.

That bears repeating: the only way to salvage what is left of Earth's self-healing abilities is to stop geoengineering, immediately. And since a fair amount of geoengineering involves spraying from military aircraft, perhaps the POTUS has a point in addressing a speech about global warming to members of the military. If that is what he is thinking, I'll stop with the POTUS and start referring to him as President Obama.

From whales, to insects, to us, the entire planet has now been completely contaminated with highly toxic bioavailable heavy metals and chemicals directly connected to the ongoing solar radiation management (SRM) programs. Peer reviewed studies on nearly 1000 whales from around the globe showed "jaw dropping" levels of aluminum had been absorbed in their bodies. New studies now also show the same results for the collapsing bee populations around the globe. In fact, all invertebrates are in sharp decline. What about human exposure? The results are the same. Those in power have already committed the greatest and most deadly crime in the history of the human race, and that crime is ongoing. The criminal cabals that masquerade as governments are not about to stop, in fact, they are doubling down and further ramping up the deadly atmospheric spraying. There is virtually no place to hide from the lethal fallout and the deadly effects are erupting throughout the web of life. Many believe that our "elected officials" would do something about the situation if they only knew, but is this reality? Sadly, our government and all those in it are completely bought and paid for by the power structure, I know this first hand after twelve years in this battle. I have been in senator Barbara Boxer's office presenting hard science data on geoneingineering, I have had high level meetings with California EPA officials, spoken in front of the entire California Air Resources Board, presented in front of the California Energy Commission, and had a private meeting with the lieutenant governor of California, Gavin Newsom and his top aid at the State Capital, etc, all were complete dead ends no matter how much credible science data they were presented with. In the next 4 minute video below, I publicly confronted US congressman Doug LaMalfa with water testing data from Cal. EPA which proved aluminum was flowing through California rivers and streams.

What did congressman LaMalfa and his staff do with the data presented from California EPA? Their final response was this, they did not recognize the EPA information as being valid. LaMalfa, along with all those already mentioned, continue to completely stonewall the critical climate engineering issue. This is what they are all paid to do. Can we be absolutely sure that aerosol spraying is occurring in our skies? We have indisputable film footage to prove it as is shown in the 2 minute video below.

The decimation and mortality already caused by over six decades of geoengineering is already so immense, it is far beyond any possible quantification, if these programs continue, the consequences to life on Earth will soon be total. The burden of exposing the climate engineering insanity lies on us, the people. Disclosure will NEVER come from those who are paid or otherwise pressured to lie. We must all prioritize the battle to expose and halt climate engineering as if our lives depend on it, because they do.

I am sitting beside a lake in Northern California and the sky is an open blue canvas as far to the left and right of me as I can see; but it is smeared with graffiti and it is the wrong shade of blue, dull and pale. Just few years ago it would have been turquoise from where I am sitting and only cumulus clouds might have hung low, seeming almost tangible behind the ridges on the other side of the lake. The rest of that open dome would have been nothing but solid aqua-blue, a shade that is almost beyond description. I fell in love with that sky when we came here to live nearly ten years ago, deeply, crazy in love.

On February 14th, I sat in the front row at a conference on geoengineering at the 2015 AAAS meeting in San Jose, California. I watched a panel of scientists and one law professor each take his turn in a sort of performance that made no sense to me. On his way in, Alan Robock of Rutgers University went out of his way to say to a group of activists in front of the convention center, “I don't know what you're all protesting. It's nothing but water vapor.” This is the man who, in 2008, wrote “20 Reasons Why Geoengineering May Be a Bad Idea”. During the conference he made it a point to say that the reason those of us in Northern California notice these trails so much more than other people and think they are a problem is because our sky is so blue.

I awake at four AM. And as I lay there in the darkness trying to retrieve a dream, I become aware of the constant droning in my head. After twenty minutes, unable to get back to sleep – let alone recover the dream – I get up to use the bathroom.

I take a sip or two of water, go back to bed and try to settle for sleep. But the droning noise persists, swelling and fading but never ceasing. Try as I might, I just can’t ignore it. What makes it worse is that I know the cause. I’ve been here before.

After an hour or so I concede defeat, take a shower and dress.

Downstairs, I make coffee and as I drink it I look out of the window. As dawn begins to break my suspicions are proved. In the sky there are scores of trails and struggling in the distance just above the horizon a weak sun shines. It resonates with the thickening sky and just like deadly nightshade, the colours are vibrant and strangely beautiful but indicative of the pure poison that lies within.

This small golden glow will be short lived. Most people, still sleeping, will not see the sun at all today.

I grab my camera and venture outside to get some pictures (see above). My neighbour is returning from walking her dog and smiles smugly “They’re just trails!” She says sarcastically as she passes.

“You still think that’s normal do you?” I reply, nodding at the sky.

It looks like an air display has just finished.

She doesn’t answer.

I admit I have failed miserably at educating my neighbours on the subject of geoengineering. I have bored them with my concerns, left them website links and information and handed out free copies of ‘Why In The World Are They Spraying’. They have decided that they don’t need to watch the film or investigate. Such is the extent of their hubris. For the sake of affability it is now, for the moment, a taboo subject.

Daybreak plus a couple of hours and the sky is white.

Don’t tell me that you haven’t noticed that the sky is white most of the time these days? Even during summer on a ‘clear’ day we don’t get true, blue sky – but in the winter we have what I call ‘sky fog’ most of the time. Sometimes the sky is a washed-out grey/blue with streaky, dirty looking clouds but mostly it’s just a dirty white.

Nobody questions this.

We walk around under this heavy, oppressive, foggy umbrella feeling heavy and oppressed ourselves but nobody asks where the sky went or why we only see the sun once or twice a week. It lowers our moods and our stature, curbs our smiles and deprives us of valuable vitamin D.

Other people in other countries live under different – but similarly unnatural skies.

I’ve been watching the sky and taking pictures for six years now. I have come to realise that you could write obscenities in the sky in capitol letters and no one would notice – because no one ever looks up.

I recently read an article by Joe Scanlan discussing chemtrails in Vaccination Information Network.com he posed the question:

Is your Eye/Brain switch set to off? I laughed out loud when I read it. I mean, how much more obvious does it have to be before people start to wake up?

The geoengineering deniers would have us believe that the trails are just the result of normal flight. I live in a small county town. Does the picture above represent normal air traffic? I think not. The nearest commercial airport is about 20 miles away so, even if this was the result of commercial flying….I mean, come on! What the hell were they doing up there?

This is just one photograph taken on one day but I have photographed hundreds of anomalies like this.

It’s not as if the climate isn’t a subject on everyone’s lips. Even before The Kyoto Protocol, which came into force in 2005 and Al Gore’s 2006 documentary ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, ‘experts’ were talking about pollution and the climate.

I could drill down into the fine details here, about contrail science, aerosol dispersal patents and hockey stick temperature charts. I could discuss the thin and dubious ‘conclusive’ evidence ‘proving’ that you and I are to blame for the world’s weather and why we must, therefore, pay more for our energy.

But sadly, I know that by now I have already lost half the readers of this article – because we live in an age of apathy.

We are weary: War weary, recession weary, corruption weary and political promise weary. We’ve had so much bad news so often that facing the truth (more bad news) is about as nourishing as a fast-food burger.

We are told we must further tighten our belts as the bankers gamble with our savings and pay themselves yet more bonuses. But face the truth we must if we are to survive into the near future. That means holding the people responsible to account for their reckless attitudes and abuses of privileges right across the board – and that takes some courage and determination.

I recently wrote two other articles about geoengineering (details below) which addressed more of the science and agenda. Some irate Facebook comments and emails immediately followed which I then did my best to answer. But this article is not about proof, it’s about personal experience, observation and the employment of common sense – because it is so little used these days.

We are constantly being ‘nudged’ – to do only what we are encouraged to do, to believe only what we are encouraged to believe and we are persuaded that anyone who believes that the emperor really is naked is a conspiracy theorist – or worse, a terrorist! Well, the emperor in this instance is geoengineering and he’s waving his intimate parts right in our faces.

If you are not familiar with the subject of geoengineering you need to be. For it is THE biggest contributing factor in the state of the world’s climate by a long way – and the state of the world’s climate effects everything and everyone in so many different ways.

Yet in the climate change/global warming debate it is consistently and conveniently ignored. Despite the seeable, touchable, feelable evidence all around us, the devastating impact on our environment and rapidly rising levels of sickness, we are told that geoengineering is really mostly just theory. However, here at street level, just by using common sense, observation and logic it is so easy to see the lie.

As I have said before, as with many other serious and distressing issues, the greatest obstacle in the way of resolution is facing the fact that the people in whom we trust often do not have our best interests at heart. The world-wide ruthless betrayal of our trust has been demonstrated over and over again in government, banking, corporations, news media, health, child-care, the police and the courts.

So if what we are officially being told about the climate is true it would make it the exception to the rule by miles.

Any kind of investigation to find truth must begin with the assumption that, although innocent until proven guilty, all are initially under suspicion. Qui buono? – Who benefits? Is always a good place to start and when you look into it, you soon see who benefits from manipulating the weather. The globalists, the seed companies, bankers, investors and the military – just for starters – and how much can we trust them do you think?

But this article is not a scientific paper. It is not an investigation. It is my personal experience of geoengineering in action.

It’s about planes at four in the morning, an illusive, hazy sun, white sky, crazy trails, weird smells and rainbow coloured clouds. It’s about dying bees (I keep them) shrubs and trees and official denials to my requests for answers. It’s about a world of freak weather, dulled down people and an observed epidemic of cancer, Alzheimer’s and respiratory illness with little or no explanation.

But most of all it is about an overwhelming and all-consuminggeoengineering silence.

How could a field tested, historically documented project so many years in the making, that has involved government scientists, the military, the aircraft industry, tech manufacturers and the patent office, which has cost billions in investment and research and development and involved so many people –still be so widely unheard of?

Does it mean that all of that time, money and research has just been shelved for a rainy day? Or could it mean that this highly controversial science has been covertly in operation for many years?

Geoengineering is one of the most important, yet most ignored issues of our time. The sky-jacking of our weather. I ask you to use your eyes and ears, trust your own judgement, employ common sense, watch the sky and then ask yourself what on earth has happened to it?

Soon I will be turning 60, and I cannot help but recall my mother’s words when she told me she felt as if she had outlived her understanding of how the world worked. She was in her eighties when she explained this sadness, and I felt this must surely be a common feeling in eldership, and I felt deeply sorry for her. Little did I know that I would feel much the same at sixty.

I grew up in a time when kids left the house at 8:00 a.m. and stayed outside all day minus the run-ins for lunch and dinner. We rode bikes everywhere and miles and miles from home. We went trekking through miles and miles of woods and tried to get lost so that we could make our ways back with tremendous pride in our outdoor skills. We made creek rafts out of sticks and leaves, climbed every climbable tree, and we made forts out of deer thickets and snow.

To carry this point further, there is a well documented common trait shared by almost all of those with psychopathic tendencies, a near total lack of comprehension as to the consequences of their actions, even to themselves. Where Have All The Blue Skies Gone

I think that we have all noticed that our temperatures outside have been in a flux. One day it is above normal and the next day below normal, not only in New England but across the Globe. Something is definitely happening to our weather and climate. Doing some research, I have discovered that the US Air Force wants to control the weather by 2025. It is documented.

If you LOOK UP at the sky, you will notice that the sky is not blue for very long, even on a blue sky day. Instead, you will often see streaks of white plumes in the sky from planes, sometimes in patterns of a criss-cross or straight line or tick, tack, toe. These plumes after awhile begin to widen and blanket the blue sky turning it into a milky white. It has been verified with air, water and soil samples; by climate engineering patents, and videos that these streaks are aerosol trails of toxic chemicals of barium, strontium, aluminum oxide and other synthetic fibres being sprayed daily into the stratosphere by military and some commercial planes. A reason for the spraying of our skies on a global basis according to David Keith of Harvard, who recently spoke on the Colbert Report Show, is to cool down the temperature of the Earth. The name given to this process is Global Climate Engineering (Intervention) or Weather Modification, also known as Solar Radiation Management (SRM).

As much as the climate engineers are trying to cool the Earth, Weather modification is wrecking our eco-system and hydrological system already set in place. Television documentaries have reported that 200 species are becoming extinct each day, as well as fish, birds and animals. Dane Wigington in a documentary has mentioned that plants, trees and bees are dying in California. Other authors have pointed out to us, that our ozone layer is being depleted; the sunlight is dimming; farms and gardens are producing less crops; aquifers are depleting; states and countries are experiencing droughts. Many of our friends or relatives and ourselves have seen an increase in floods; ice tsunamis; earthquakes; hail; hurricanes and tornadoes. We are nearly at the edge of the tipping point! Time is running out is becoming a familiar mantra!

Besides the spraying of these toxic chemicals, our weather is also being manipulated by HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project). Both Nick Begich and Rosalie Bertell have written about this project in their books, and they can be heard on utubes online. Rosalie Bertell tells us that HAARP began in 1990 and work on the ionosphere facility in Gakona, Alaska began in 1993. HAARP is known as Tesla-based technology.

HAARP has ionosphere heaters that can heat sections of the Ionosphere to form a curved lens and also reflect massive energy beams back to Earth to trigger hurricanes, floods, droughts and earthquakes, as well as diverting them away from certain cities, states and or countries. It is known to have 24 heaters around the globe.

Such powerful technology to be in the hands of humans, without the complete knowledge of possible consequences of their usage and the moral authority to decide who has good weather today or not, or droughts for months on end! Is this not playing God with our weather and climate? Such hubris!

According to Professor James Fleming of Colby College in Maine, we are not the first generation to think about modifying and manipulating the weather and to change the climate. He tells us that as far back as 1841, James Espy tried to modify the weather. He tried to make artificial rain by burning forests. Other attempts to control the weather took place in the 1900’s beginning in 1904 with Charles Hatfield known as the Rainmaker who attempted to make it rain in California. Also again in 1915 when he supposedly caused it to rain for 17 days in San Diego by building a 20-30 foot tower which he climbed and then mixed chemicals claiming that by letting them evaporate in the atmosphere, he would attract rain clouds to open. Rain clouds did open resulting in deaths and the destruction of 100 bridges and people left homeless. As a result of the devastation, Mr. Hatfield was never paid the sum he bargained for. If you read, James Fleming’s work on FIXING THE SKY, you will find other examples showing that all throughout the 1900’s other various attempts were made to control the weather and climate not only by the United States but also by Russia.

So what is all this technological know how good for, if it is being used to destroy, rather than to promote responsible stewardship of the Earth? California, at present is in a terrible drought.
Where is HAARP in all of this? Why isn’t HAARP helping to bring moisture and rainfall to California, instead of the opposite?

As I reflect by my window and see trails of chemicals being released in our sky, day after day knowing that this will affect and effect our weather and our health, I can only ask what about the ETHICAL IMPLICATIONS of managing the world’s climate? Have policy makers taken this into account? Who will set the temperature for the Earth? What about the health issues of the citizens onto which the toxic chemicals mentioned above, fall day in and day out? Who are the policy makers accountable to for the consequences of Weather Modification? Alzheimers and autism are becoming rampant, as well as cancer and respiratory ailments. Are they not the results of these toxic chemicals?

Having this technology also raises the question about causing rain in one place that could risk causing drought in another place. Scriptures tell us that we are all one. So when one place is affected all is affected. Although I live at the opposite coast from California, I feel for the citizens there experiencing drought and devastation, also for the folks in Buffalo, New York, who recently experienced an unprecedented epic snowstorm. This brings to mind the words of Chief Seattle: “Whatever befalls the Earth, befalls the sons and daughters of the Earth.”

Scientists tell us that time is running out and that the only way to fix the weather and the climate is to leave the sky alone and instead reduce CO2 emissions and also Methane Emissions. May we all have the courage to do so! INSTEAD OF AN ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE, I challenge all who will read this to write or call President Obama and your legislators to encourage them to reduce CO2 Emissions and Methane Emissions, while leaving the sky alone.

Morning, June 1964. I am eight-and-a-half years old. School has just ended and I am snug in my bed. My windows are open and a warm and gentle breeze is ruffling my curtains. I can hear my dad out in the fields plowing with his little Farmall Cub, and it must be laundry day because I can also hear the wringer washer chugging away in the basement. Oh good! I will get up. I love to hang laundry. The sun is warm, the sky is blue and everything is so fresh and clean. The leaves smell good, the grass smells good, and the freshly plowed soil is rich and fragrant. The birds are singing and everything is peaceful. We don’t have much money, but we have what we need.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I’m appalled that so little energy is going into assessing proposals for cooling the Arctic quickly enough to avoid near-term extinction of humans and most other species.

I think it’s unlikely that these proposals will prove to be adequate–but nevertheless we should be funding small-scale experiments with them.

I’m quite far from being any sort of expert in this field, so maybe there are better possibilities than these two I’d mentioned in Monday’s edition: spraying salt water into clouds to increase their albedos and using radio waves to decompose atmospheric methane.

Hey, I yearn for the good old days when all we had to do to survive was stop CO2 emissions, stop chemtrails, stop all malevolent uses of HAARP and then let-nature-take-its-course.

Now, though, if we let nature take its course, it’ll wipe out by 2030 or so all advanced life forms on this planet for–I dunno–ten or twenty thousand years.

My interest in experimenting with climate-intervention techniques is my greatest disagreement with my favorite climate commentator, Dane Wigington. In his intro to a piece I’ve pasted second below he urges us to “stop climate engineering” whereas I urge stopping all current forms of it but continuing to seek one or more others which are beneficial. I suspect that if our homeplanet physics were more advanced, we could swiftly cool the Arctic sonically. So perhaps our current emergency conditions will push someone to break through to this.

By the way, I don’t like to use the word engineering because it reminds me of the Occident’s crude industrial revolution, which is the main reason anyone born today has a life-expectancy of only fifteen to thirty. Also feasible solutions have more to do with breakthrough physics than with engineering.

What we need just now is an organization which combines the central insights of the Arctic Methane Emergency Group (AMEG) and the Geoengineering Watch (GW) people. The AMEG spokespeople ignore chemtrails and the GW spokespeople don’t spend enough time coping with methane.

Twenty years ago it would have seemed like science-fiction to imagine our planet suffering simultaneous emergencies as huge and dire as methane and chemtrails. Any sane society would of course be dealing with both by now. But if for whatever bizarre reason we’re forced to deal with them sequentially rather than simultaneously, we should do methane first because if we don’t swiftly cool the Arctic it won’t make any difference how much aluminum is getting into our soils and bodies.

Here’s an interesting excerpt from Arctic News about using radio waves, referred to here as Project Lucy:

. . . Lucy has the potential to be very effective, as it can decompose methane while any resulting nano diamond powder could also reflect sunlight back into space. Project Lucy therefore aims to design, build and test a microwave transmission system targeting low-altitude methane clouds with the aim of breaking the first C-H bond as soon as the methane erupts into the atmosphere from the Arctic Ocean. The transmitters can be mounted on submarines, planes and after 2015 on boats and drilling rigs when the Arctic ice cap has melted. — (Arctic News, 2012).

I sure wish we didn’t have to consider techno-fixes like this. I sure wish we were still living in the most recent earlier historical period during which there was still time to let nature take its course.

In fact, Guy McPherson might say here that he sure wishes it hadn’t become impossible for even the cleverest techno-fixes to work quickly enough.

Why climate change deniers need to get real

In case you missed the biggest news story of the decade this week, we´re all doomed. A long-awaited paper on global warming and its effects was published last Monday by the UN´s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and it makes for very grim reading. The message in the latest report gave humanity its starkest warning yet: we are facing a very dark and terrifying future, and the time for fixing it may have already passed.

Key findings

The report warns that melting sea ice and permafrost threaten to sink entire cities, ocean acidification is killing our precious coral reefs, and extreme weather patterns and mega disasters such as heat waves, droughts, floods, typhoons and wildfires will continue to worsen. When you throw into the mix dangerously high air pollution, the effects of fracking (sinkholes,earthquakes, groundwater contamination and even birth defects), and the ongoing mass extinction of wildlife due to human stupidity, we can conclude that things are not looking good for our grandchildren.

“Nobody on this planet is going to be untouched by the impacts of climate change,” were the dark words of Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the IPCC.

Food shortages, riots and rising grocery bills

The report, released every six years since the panel was set up in 1988, was a joint effort by more than 300 scientists. By far the most alarming edition to date, it took three years to compile and runs to 2,600 pages and 32 volumes. It tells us that even if we´re lucky enough to escape death from natural disasters, the future of agriculture is so bleak that millions of people face starvation and displacement. Global wheat and corn stocks are in great danger, and even staple groceries like rice and soy could become expensive luxury items.

Other food sources are also under threat. Fish catches in some areas of the tropics are projected to fall by between 40% and 60%, affecting millions of people for whom seafood is a source of livelihood and survival- and this scarcity of food could also cause widespread political instability and rioting, as well as other related social problems.

In conclusion, the experts say that man-made climate change is no longer up for debate. As Richard Schiffman wrote in the Guardian : “There are few climate-change skeptics amongst those who grow the world’s food. Farmers don’t have to read UN reports to know how radically their weather is changing. And consumers don’t need academic studies or bullet points to know that food prices are steadily rising.”

The case for skepticism

This is true, but of course not everyone agrees with the IPCC´s findings. Skeptics point out that we have not been measuring and recording climate patterns for long enough to know for certain if humans are responsible for the earth changes we are currently experiencing. Others might argue (and rightly so) that we can´t trust the UN, or point to evidence of weather control technology such as HAARP to explain climate change and even natural disasters. These are all valid points, but they ignore one simple, undeniable fact: humanity is raping and murdering this small blue planet at a rate which is unsustainable and psychopathic; to assume there is no price to pay for this ecocidal behavior is ignorant and foolish to say the least.

Consider this: the earth is 4.6 billion years old. Let´s scale that down to 46 years. Using this analogy, humans have been here on this planet just 4 hours. Our industrial revolution began just one minute ago. And in that meager 60 seconds, we have already destroyed more than 50% of the world´s forests. This is akin to ripping out one lung from a living organism and expecting it to be in the same good health it was beforehand.

Just days after the publication of the IPCC paper, Yellowstone Park suffered a 4.8 magnitude earthquake– something which should strike fear into all of us- and Chile was next, with a powerful 8.2 magnitude quake causing landslides and a tsunami.

Also this year, the US was hit by a polar vortex in the east and wildfires in the west, as was Australia, while poor countries like the Philippines (whose low-lying Capital Manila is in a high-risk tropical region) have declared they “expect catastrophe” and called on the global community to help them.

Volcanoes have erupted this year in Hawaii and Indonesia, and England was hit by the worst flooding on record, (followed by an unprecedented ´toxic´smog which is currently causing great concern). These examples are just a few, but they illustrate how climate change is being experienced by all of us around the world.

Energy lobbyists, puppet politicians and corporate media poodles

We can see the devastation, so why do so many of us refuse to wake up to the reality of climate change? Because people are paid good money to lull us back to sleep, that´s why. Here is an enlightening quote taken from a comment thread in the Guardian :“I study energy policy and I’ve more or less given up. The lobby groups working against mitigation are too strong and widespread: the oil and gas industry, the green lobby (who oppose nuclear power), nimbys (who oppose many local renewable projects), politicians who pander to the electorate by telling them we can have low carbon and lower prices, etc”.

A recent Newsweek investigation backed up this point, claiming that scientists were offered financial rewards ($10,000 apparently) from oil company lobbyists in return for smearing the IPCC report and undermining its findings. The magazine highlighted the consequences of this: ´Just last year, polls found that 64 percent of Americans thought there was “a lot” of scientific disagreement on climate change; only one third thought planetary warming was “mainly caused by things people do”.´

These figures are shocking because the reality is, an extremely small number of scientists deny human-caused climate change. Meanwhile, another BP oil spill on Lake Michigan is being conveniently censored from our screens, the European Union has ordered Britain to end renewable energy subsidies, and the Spanish government have decided to tax people who use solar panels. But it´s not just dirty energy lobbyists and politicians who are causing, then denying, such blatant ecocide. A fantastic article by Media Lens highlights the role of the British press´s role in smearing the case for man-made climate change- and in the USA, anti-truth propaganda is even more prevalent.

It may be too late to ensure our grandchildren grow up on a planet with fresh air to breathe and clean water to drink. But we have to keep on hoping: Bolivia´s ground-breaking decision to give legal rights to the Earth is something we must demand in our own countries. It´s time to wake up. It´s time to fight for Gaia.

Europeans Pushing to Expose Global Climate Engineering

Civil Society Organizations from 17 EU member states challenge candidates in the upcoming EU Elections to come clean about their stand, on the established facts about clandestine aerial spraying of the European sky within the context of illegal, ongoing, climate manipulation and geoengineering programs before May 25.

8 – 9 April 2013, a conference was held at the European Parliament, under the title “Beyond Theories of Weather Modification – Civil Society against Geoengineering”.

The conference reassessed a 1999 resolution and lack, from both the sides of legislators and military to safeguard transparency and democratic control over classified programs, which affect entire populations without consent, democratic influence, or access to verifiable information and data.

Climate manipulation has become a proven and accomplished fact; that is, despite omissions of the facts in state, and most corporate media; despite systematically disseminated misinformation used to discredit solid science and evidence; and despite the fact that most elected officials in national parliaments and the EU parliament, most probably, wish that someone else would pick up that hot potato.

The organizations behind the 2013 conference, including Skyguards, challenge candidates in the upcoming EU Elections to the European Parliament to come clean about their position on the illegal programs, on transparency, democratic control, and not least, to come clean about their position on how they want to address and remedy institutional indifference and disdain for their electorate. In an open letter, styled to candidates in the upcoming elections, civil society organization stress:

On 8th and 9th April 2013, organizations from 17 countries in the European Union exposed to the European Parliament, in a conference patronized by MEP Mrs. Tatjana Zdanoka, their concerns about clandestine aerial spraying of the European sky in the context of illegal ongoing climate manipulation / geoengineering programs, as a follow up to the Resolution of the European Parliament on “Environment, Security and Foreign Policy”, approved on 14th January 1999, on the basis of Report A4-005/99 by the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Security and Defense Policy.

In its point “T ” and paragraph on “HAARP – A military weapon system with devastating effects on climate”, the Report made it explicit that:

Despite the existing conventions, military research is in progress on environmental manipulation as a weapon, as demonstrated for example by the Alaska-based HAARP system. Defined as a weapons system which disrupts the climate, outside of any legal framework, HAARP is a matter of global concern and has to be regarded as a serious threat to the environment, with an incalculable impact on human life’.

The civil society advocates stress that all members of parliament from all political groups were invited to attend the conference. Despite the importance of the subjects, however, not one attended to the conference. Moreover, they stress that none of the state or corporate mainstream media covered the event.

Whether the issue is geoengineering or any other subject matter, the astounding and disturbing fact is that none of the MPs found it necessary to inform him/herself about illegal, clandestine and classified programs which are being carried out without any form of democratic oversight, and which affect entire populations.

On a positive note, a petition that was presented to the Committee of Petitions of the European Parliament has been admitted.

The petition demands an independent investigation of the facts concerning environmental matters and consumer protections, and projects which are taking place without the knowledge and consent of citizens in defiance of the precautionary principle. The petition also stressed that the clandestine projects violate fundamental rights of European citizens as set out in the Treaties, such as the right to health, the right to security, the right to integrity, as well as the right to be informed.

Civil Society Demands that EU Parliamentary Candidates Come Clean about the Clandestine Projects before May 25.

The civil society advocates, representing organizations from 17 EU member States challenge candidates in the upcoming EU Parliamentary Elections to come clean about their position on the subject before May 25. Their open letter states:

In this perspective, and considering that this serious matter also entails an unconstitutional attack on national sovereignty, and in particular on food sovereignty, we would like to know if you, the 2014 candidates, are willing to:

Support the Committee on Petitions on its decision to investigate the facts that are the subject of our indictment.
Promote a public debate on the subject.
Legislate to ban all geoengineering and climate manipulation activity in Europe, implying that each nation must reacquire sovereignty over its sky.
Legislate the submission of military research programs to democratic and parliamentary control; and..
Demand full implementation of the above mentioned European Parliament Resolution on “Environment, Security and Foreign Policy”.

Both the 1999 and the 2013 conference condemned the sophisticated military activity which is being carried out in defiance of the most elementary precautionary principles.

The conference also addressed new weapons systems which focus on the military use of the ionosphere, such as the HAARP program, based in Alaska, and its pendant near the Norwegian city of Troms and elsewhere.

Ultimately, the question whether candidates are willing to take action or notcan be viewed as a testing stone that proves, whether a candidate will take action when illegal, clandestine projects are being carried out right above his own roof, or if is a candidate who will look down at his shoelaces and act as if he hadn’t seen or heard a word about it.

The least, that the electorate should be able to expect within a system that calls itself democratic, is that candidates take a stand on the subject and come clean about their position, so citizens can make an informed choice whom to vote and whom not to vote for.

It is worth noting that the European Commission, in 2013, planned to invest about two million euro to limit EU-critical media reports as well as EU critical opinion on social media like Facebook and Twitter up to the elections to the European Parliament in 2014. Part of the planned strategy was to sue news-media and journalists for publishing “false” information, ban EU skeptic journalists from press conferences, and infiltrate social media with “trolls” to bias debates and opinion.

Seeds of Freedom

If we have to survive as a species, we need to reclaim our commons — of seed,

of climate, of knowledge and resist the privatisation of every aspect of life.

For thousands of years farmers, especially women, have evolved and bred seed freely with the help of nature to increase the diversity of what nature gave us and adopt it to the needs of different cultures. Biodiversity and cultural diversity have mutually shaped one another.

Every seed is an embodiment of millennia of nature’s evolution and centuries of farmers’ breeding. It is the distilled expression of the intelligence of the earth and intelligence of farming communities. Farmers have bred seeds for diversity, resilience, taste, nutrition, health and to adapt it for local agro-ecosystems.

In times of climate change we need the biodiversity of farmers’ varieties to adapt and evolve. Climate extremes are being experienced through more frequent and intense cyclones that bring salt water to the land. To develop resilience against cyclones, we need salt tolerant varieties of seeds, and we need them in the commons. Along coastal areas, farmers have evolved flood tolerant and salt tolerant varieties of rice such as Bhundi, Kalambank, Lunabakada, Sankarchin, Nalidhulia, Ravana, Seulapuni, Dhosarakhuda.

These seeds have been evolved by farmers and need to stay in the commons to gain resilience against climate change.

After the Orissa Supercyclone, Navdanya could distribute salt tolerant rice to farmers because we had conserved them as a commons in our community seed bank run by Kusum Mishra and Dr Ashok Panigrahi in Balasore, Orissa. Hence we were about to donate two truckloads of salt tolerant seeds to the farmers, who could not grow rice because of the sea salt deposited on their farms. As I have written in my book—Soil, Not Oil—40 per cent of the greenhouse gases come from an industrialised and globalised model of agriculture. Having created the crisis, corporations, who made profits from industrial agriculture, now want to turn the climate crisis they have contributed to into an opportunity to control climate resilient seeds and climate data. Corporations like Monsanto have taken 1,500 patents on climate resilient crops. With these very broad patents, Monsanto and other corporations can prevent access to climate resilient seeds after climate disasters since a patent is an exclusive right to produce, distribute and sell the patented product. This implies that the farmers’ right to save and share seed is now defined as “theft,” an “intellectual property crime”.

While nature and farmers have evolved the traits of climate resilience in seeds, corporations claim their role of creator; they declare that seeds are their “invention,” hence their patented property.

In times of climate change, such monopolies aggravate the disaster by blocking farmers’ rights to seeds they have evolved.

Hence, seed as a common good became a commodity of private seed companies, traded on the open market.

For example, on July 5, 2013, Justice Prabha Sridevi, chair of the Intellectual Property Appellate Board of India and D.P.S. Parmar, technical member, dismissed Monsanto’s appeal against the rejection of their patent application to the patent office for “Methods of enhancing stress tolerance in plants and methods thereof.” The title of the patent was later amended to “A method of producing a transgenic plant, with increasing heat tolerance, salt tolerance or drought tolerance”.

Industrial breeding and intellectual property rights including patents on seed fail to recognise nature’s contributions and farmers’ contribution in giving us climate resilient crops. Just as the jurisprudence of Terre Nullius defined the land as empty, and allowed the takeover of territories by the European colonies, the jurisprudence of intellectual property rights related to life forms is, in fact, a jurisprudence of “Bio Nullius” — life empty of intelligence. The Earth is defined as dead matter, so it cannot create. And the farmers have empty heads so they cannot breed seeds.

The door to patents on seed and patents on life was opened by genetic engineering. By adding one new gene to the cell of a plant, corporations claimed they had invented and created the seed, the plant, and all future seeds that were now their property. In other words GMO meant “God Move Over.”

Section 3(j) of the Patents Act, 1970, recognises that life forms are not an invention and hence biological processes cannot be treated as inventions.

Today, this freedom of nature and culture to evolve is under violent and direct threat. The threat to seed freedom impacts the very fabric of human life and the life of the planet. Not only are corporations like Monsanto claiming patent monopolies on climate resilient seeds, they are also claiming monopoly on climate and weather data. Monsanto has bought the Climate Corporation, which controls vast data on climate for $1 billion.

Not only will Monsanto sell the chemicals and seeds adapted to their chemicals to farmers, they will also sell climate data. This is a strategy for total control of agriculture in times of climate change.

The National Weather Service Duties Act of 2005 was a legislative proposal forwarded in April 2005 by United States Senator Rick Santorum to bar the national weather service from issuing forecasts so that climate and weather services can be privatised. In effect, the knowledge of a cyclone or flood would only be provided to those who could pay.

The vision of the corporations and sadly the US government is to privatise every aspect of life — our seeds and biodiversity, the atmospheric commons, and the knowledge of the climate and weather as a public good.

At a time when the world needs to recognise that life forms, including seeds, are not an invention and the US should correct its laws to be more in alignment with the Rights of the Earth and with human rights, the US government is threatening India with trade retaliation to force us to change our patent laws yet again and introduce the unethical, unscientific and anti-human laws of patent monopolies on seed and medicine.

America’s National Association of Manufacturers — which represents about 50 US business groups — gave the suggestion to the US Trade Representatives’ office to designate India a “Priority Foreign Country”, a tag it gives to worst offenders of intellectual property rights. This is not just a US-India dispute. It is a fight against corporate enclosures of the commons. If we have to survive as a species, we need to reclaim our commons — of seed, of climate, of knowledge and resist the privatisation of every aspect of life.

We need to create the commons of the seed and cultivate seed freedom through seed saving, seed exchange and participatory breeding.

This ‘covert nuclear war’ on humanity

Activist PostThree incidents this year at the Carlsbad, New Mexico nuclear Waste Isolation Pilot Plant resulted from “a number of serious safety concerns” that led to a fire and radiation leaks, contaminating workers and nearby residents, the NRC reported to the LA Times.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s findings detail ongoing complaints about WIPP’s ongoing failures to meet basic safety standards, let alone nuclear safety.

But Hanford, the 10th most radioactive region on the planet, also made the news in March when fumes sickened at least 11 workers who were taken to various medical facilities.

All this transpired while Japan attempts to safely remove the spent fuel rods from Fukushima’s destroyed nuclear plants, an operation that Dr Helen Caldicott has characterized as “incredibly dangerous” and which “will take months to complete.”

Dr Caldicott is a pediatrician deeply involved in the effort to end humanity’s most ecocidal form of developed energy. Many of the fuel rod workers, she reports in this March interview, are prisoners and indigents.

Aside from using unskilled labor, another type of danger involved in this operation was caught on a video witnessed and described by geoscientist Dr. Leuren Moret. While workers stood around watching a crane remove a spent fuel rod, another crane collapsed behind them in slow motion, which none of them noticed. She asks, “What if that crane that they were using to remove the fuel rods had collapsed?”

Epidemiologist Dr Rosalie Bertell explains the significance of these ‘spent’ fuel rods, which the US stores at four times the pool capacity:

In a nuclear power plant the fissioning takes place inside the zirconium or magnesium alloy cladding which encloses the fuel rods. Most of the fission fragments are trapped within the rods. However, the activation products can be formed in the surrounding air, water, pipes and containment building. The nuclear plant itself becomes unusable with time and must eventually be dismantled and isolated as radioactive waste.

After fissioning, the fuel rods are said to be `spent’. They contain the greatest concentration of radioactivity of any material on the planet earth – many hundreds of thousands of times the concentration in granite or even in uranium mill tailings (waste). [emphasis added]

Today, the powers-that-be knowingly operate leaking nuclear plants that are 30 and 40 years old, though they were to be decommissioned after 25 years. It bears repeating Dr Bertell’s warning that “the nuclear plant itself becomes unusable with time and must eventually be dismantled and isolated as radioactive waste.”

Dr Moret explains that radioactive particles released in nuclear explosions also weaken metals, leading to metal fatigue known as the Wigner Effect, which attorney Alfred Weber describes as follows: “The Wigner effect (named for its discoverer, E. P. Wigner), also known as the discomposition effect, is the displacement of atoms in a solid caused by neutron radiation.

“That Fukushima disaster is thousands, or possibly millions of Chernobyls,” Moret warns. “It has poisoned the entire Pacific Ocean and that poison is carried into the Atlantic circulation.”

Dr Caldicott concurs. “Every day since March 11, 2011, between 300 and 400 tons of radioactive water have been pouring into the Pacific Ocean.” At the top end, that’s almost a half million tons. Is there any wonder we see starfish turning to goo and sealife collapsing?

When the transhumanists decided to massively reduce global population, all they had to do was split the atom. To decide to develop nuclear power, whose byproducts are used for nuclear weapons, Ike and Oppenheimer signed our death sentence. (“I am become death,” he accurately quoted Lord Krishna from the Bhagavad Gita.)

Dr Bertell has written extensively about the genocidal implications of nuclear power, and calls the development and use of nuclear energy “omnicide”. Radiation is going to kill everything but the most obscure life forms for millennia. In No Immediate Danger, she explains:

When a uranium atom is split or fissioned…. about 300 different radioactive chemicals are created with each chain reaction. It takes hundreds of thousands of years for all the newly formed radioactive chemicals to return to a stable state.

Dr Moret believes this is a deliberate and “covert nuclear war on humanity.” Any reasonable mind would have to wonder why Japan built 55 nuclear power plants on active faults, where four tectonic plates are colliding – especially after suffering Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Since the development of nuclear power, not only have we had three nuclear accidents of catastrophic scale, but militaries have:

intentionally exploded over 2,000 nuclear bombs since 1945,
intentionally bombed nuclear reactors in Iraq; and
accidentally or intentionally detonated nine nuclear-powered rockets headed to outer space.

All that radiation rains down on us. It’s ubiquitous in the food chain, the atmosphere, our waters, and in our bodies.

And it’s gotten oh-so-much worse these past several decades with the Nuclear Regulatory Agency created by and for the industry. It would be inaccurate to call the NRC a captive agency; it never was free, it’s always been run by the industry it was created to regulate.

In Nuclear Roulette, Gar Smith notes in the chapter, The Regulatory-Industrial Complex:

As the [Associated Press] discovered, another tool the NRC has employed to make it easier for the industry to avoid more rigorous safety practices is risk-informed analysis (RIA). Broadly applied since the 1990s, RIA has allowed regulators to ignore a more comprehensive set of safety concerns and concentrate only on areas of higher risk. Union of Concerned Scientists physicist Ed Lyman argues that RIA generally works “to weaken regulations, rather than strengthen them.” This approach also assumes all reactors to be equal and ignores the problems associated with older plants.

Whatever they’re telling us about the Hanford, WA and Carlsbad, NM leaks, or the removal of the spent fuel rods at Fukushima, we can be sure it is not the truth. As Smith notes:

One consistent lesson from Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima is clear: when the public is at risk, plant operators and government officials inevitably cover up and lie. “They lied to us,” physicist Michio Kaku memorably told CNN on June 22, 2011.

But hope springs eternal. Dr Moret and others speculate that Tesla technology like HAARP, which manipulates the ionosphere, can also be used to mitigate ionizing radiation.

Studies have also shown that certain whole foods (non GMO) can repair or mitigate DNA damage, a known effect of encountering radiation. Other whole foods actually protect organs and organ systems from radiation damage (providing a host of other benefits as well), and for this reason I take Juice Plus, a capsule of dried, high-quality superfoods and grains.

Israeli troops destroy mosque in Palestinian village

Israeli bulldozers have demolished a mosque and several homes in a Palestinian village in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, leaving up to 30 people homeless on the deadline of the peace talks between Palestine and Israel.

Eighteen Israeli military jeeps and two bulldozers stormed the village of Kherbt al-Taweel near Nablus, to the north of the West Bank early on Tuesday morning and declared the village a closed military zone, Ghassan Douglas, the Palestinian Authority official in charge of monitoring settlement activity in the northern West Bank, told the Anadolu Agency (AA).

He added that before demolishing the buildings “the forces prevented residents from entering or leaving the village and students from going to their school.”

“I went to make my dawn prayers at the mosque and found the army surrounding it,” resident Abdel Fattah Maarouf, 63, told Reuters, “Then they tore it down. They want this area so they can build settlements on it.”

A Reuters correspondent said several hundred soldiers were deployed in Khirbet al-Taweel around daybreak.

Other buildings that were wiped out by Israeli troops included three family houses, animal shelters and a communal well.

According to another village resident Anwar Sidki whose home was destroyed, the Israelis did not give him any prior warning.

“They just demolished the house,” he told AA.“I have five children and a wife. I have to either re-build the house, or they will remain in the streets.”

Meanwhile, the Israeli troops left the village, although they left security at its entrances.

According to Douglas, the Israelis destroyed the mosque and the houses “under the pretext of being built without a permit.”

“Israel has long sought to control the village because of its strategic location, which overlooks the Jordan Valley,” added Jawdat Bani Jabr, head of the village council.

A top Palestinian official, Yasser Abed Rabbo told local radio that “unless acts like this cease completely,” Palestine won’t return to peace talks with Israel. The April-29 deadline has now been missed.

According to Douglas, Israeli army forces are targeting the village to displace its residents and annex its land to attach it to nearby settlements, or use them for army training.

Israeli settlements in the West Bank have long been a stumbling block in peace negotiations, as Tel Aviv has refused to freeze the construction of new settlements.

On Tuesday, Israeli settlement watchdog Peace Now reported that Israeli authorities approved about 14,000 settlements during the nine-months peace talks with Palestine.

“This is an unprecedented number representing an average of 50 housing units per day or 1,540 per month,” Peace Now added.

Relations between Israel and Palestine have worsened over the past month, culminating in the imposition of sanctions on Palestine by Israel, which included freezing the transfer of taxes. Israel monthly collects some $110 million in taxes on goods bound for the Palestinian territory, which roughly amounts to around two-thirds of the income received by the Palestinian Authority.

On April 23, Israel suspended peace talks with Palestine over the unity deal signed in Gaza between the Hamas group (considered terrorist in Israel) and Abbas’s Fatah faction.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said that Palestine must choose either peace with Israel or an alliance with Hamas, but it cannot have both.

Explosion Rocks Ship Set to Sail Against Gaza Blockade

‘You can sink a boat but you can’t sink a movement’

Gaza’s Ark—a freedom flotilla aimed at breaking the Israeli blocked from within this besieged strip—was rocked by an explosion early Tuesday, partially sinking the vessel weeks before it was to set sail from the Gaza Port.

According to a statement from Gaza’s Ark, no one was injured in the blast, but the night guard “was taken to the hospital for tests.”

Ehab Lotayef, member of Gaza’s Ark steering committee, told Common Dreams, “We don’t have solid proof of who carried out the attack, but it is very clear there is one specific entity interested in the boat not sailing and in continuing the blockade of Gaza.”

This is the first physical attack against Gaza’s Ark, which has been under construction for nearly a year. Jointly organized by Palestinians in Gaza—including the Palestine Sailing Federation and the Fishermen’s Solidarity Campaign—and international solidarity organizations, the vessel was constructed by Palestinians and slated to embark in June on a voyage through international waters carrying Palestinian goods and people from Gaza and around the world.

“The goal is to challenge the ongoing, illegal Israeli blockade and focus worldwide attention on the situation in Gaza and the complicity of the governments that support it or look the other way,” according to the organization’s website.

The Ark is affiliated with the Freedom Flotilla coalition, whose vessels have attempted to deliver humanitarian aid and other materials to Gaza. According to Lotayef, by starting from within Palestine, and employing only Palestinian labor, Gaza’s Ark organizers hope to “empower people in Gaza and help elevate the lack of jobs.”

The explosion Tuesday follows numerous attacks on vessels attempting to break the siege, including a 2010 Israeli assault on the Mavi Marmara ship sailing from Turkey that killed nine people and injured dozens, sparking global condemnation.

Since 2007, Israel—with U.S. backing—has intensified its blockade of Gaza, trapping and isolating its population of 1.7 million people. The siege has strangled the local economy, forcing 80 percent of all people in Gaza to rely on humanitarian aid, and has cut residents off from essential goods, including clean water and medical supplies.

While Palestinian fishing vessels are ostensibly allowed to travel six nautical miles from the Gaza shore, they have reported coming under Israeli fire just two nautical miles out.

Yet organizers say they are determined to continue the plan to sail from Gaza’s waters and are currently assessing the condition of the boat and charting out next steps.

“Neither this nor any other attack will stop our efforts to challenge the blockade of Gaza until it ends,” adds David Heap of Gaza’s Ark Steering Committee.

Said Lotayef, “You can sink a boat but you can’t sink a movement.”

‘Obama and Kerry fail to show leadership qualities required to settle Ukrainian issue’

The US had set their eyes on the idea to make Ukraine the 29th EU state or perhaps even the 52nd US state, though it doesn’t have any clear scenario and simply continues “blamestorming” Russia, global financial markets expert Patrick Young told RT.

RT: President Obama says Russia’s done nothing to meet its Geneva pledges. However, it’s likely to be more applicable to the US itself. Why is Washington acting like this?

Patrick Young: I think the State Department is probably under great stress at the moment. Of course we’ve seen President Obama, in the course of the last three or four days, doing shuttle diplomacy through South-East Asia. This was supposed to be an incredible ceremonial tour where he would sign multiple free trade agreements, including with Japan. Instead he ended up to play football with robots in Tokyo instead. Why? Because ultimately his trade agenda is failing as it goes along. Therefore, given the pureness of the overall quality of the negotiation of the US, it’s hardly surprising that they are trying to do anything to take away the news. And therefore, we see Mr. Obama once again being a puppet ministered by the neo-cons that are still behind him, as an administration who simply see everything as being bad in Russia. It’s quite clear from what Mr. Lavrov has said, and has been saying, that he is trying everything to encourage people to disarm and therefore, active attempts to try to diffuse the Ukrainian situation.

RT: What is the American policy aimed at? Does the United States actually want the two sides in Ukraine to reach a deal?

PY: I think it’s very worrying because certainly the US seems to have had a remarkable transition in Ukraine. It seemed to be absolutely fine when you wanted to mount barricades in Maidan and they were the people who got the likes of John McCain to speak to them. Not only we’ve got this very fractured situation in Eastern Ukraine about which the Russians had previously warned us. Ultimately we have got a singular failure of diplomacy but particularly from the Western side at the moment. And of course what is happening, President Obama is rushing off to this mantra of claiming that he wants even greater sanctions.

RT: What does the United States expect of Russia, then? It can’t send in its military to disarm the pro-Russian protesters in Ukraine. It’s asked them to disarm, what more can it do?

PY: Personally I’m confused because let’s put it another way. If Russia sent in troops to forcibly disarm the people who are holding the buildings, then America would claim they are invading. I really don’t know. The American picture is not clear. The Foreign Secretary Mr. Kerry perennially, as we know from his election campaign for president, has always worn a peppermint T-shirt and a full bag of coffee when he is at the diner. Ultimately it’s a huge problem in this environment at the moment. I don’t think America knows what it wants because ultimately America had set their eyes on the idea Ukraine is going to be something like the 29th state of the EU or perhaps even the 52nd state of the US. None of those were ever going to come to pass, the money is not there from the US and Europe to support whether it’s the rump Ukraine or whichever part of Ukraine it is. It’s confusing. America is not clear and simply “blamestorming” Russia is not going to help the situation.

RT: Neither Kiev nor the protesters seem to have stuck to the Geneva accord. Are they each waiting for the other side to act first?

PY: The problem we have here is a huge loss of faith on all parts. America clearly doesn’t trust Russia, at the same time there is a huge number of people on the ground in Ukraine who’ve been simply left behind. We are not talking about particularly the Eastern Ukrainians who have actually invaded these buildings, those occupying groups are one thing. But actually let’s face it: Ukraine is being run by a non-democratically appointed government that seems to have the blessing of the US. It’s not democratic, there are democratic elections supposedly taking place at the moment but as we can see, all the great powers are in there trying to shuffle things for their influence. It looks very 19th century in the way the things are going on at the moment.

RT: Why can’t the sides of the conflict reach any compromise? Or why the US doesn’t want to negotiate with Russia at least?

PY: Unfortunately, it is very difficult and this is a situation because after all as we know President Yanukovich, who was deeply flawed in his ability to govern, but was nonetheless the democratically elected president, ultimately had to flee the day after we had a group of Western politicians telling us that they had come to a wondrous solution in Kiev. Therefore, when there are challenges over the whole issue, it really requires leadership and statesmanship. The terrible problem is that Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry repeatedly fail to have those abilities that they demonstrate. Let’s put it another way. Today we are celebrating in Poland the canonization of Pope John Paul II, there is leader and he stood on the world stage at the time we had Mrs. Thatcher, Ronald Reagan – they may have been the absolute enemies of the old Soviet system but they were people who could do business with and did business with Mr. Gorbachev at the time. That’s the total change that we have in this situation, we have a series of political pygmies throughout the West, none of whom really realize that their word must be their bond.

Report: Pesticide Pushers Spin Bee Crisis to Protect Profits

As bee collapse threatens global food supply, report says chemical industry

employing Big Tobacco-style PR blitz to deflect blame

Worldwide bee deaths have now entered a crisis state threatening the global food supply and, according to a new report out Monday by Friends of the Earth, the human-made epidemic has been worsened by an industry-funded disinformation campaign.

The report, Follow the Honey: 7 ways pesticide companies are spinning the bee crisis to protect profits (pdf),details how the leading pesticide corporations—Bayer, Syngenta, and Monsanto—are taking a page from the playbook of Big Tobacco companies to stall any potential legislation from protecting bee colonies.

According to report author and noted food industry critic Michele Simon, these corporations are engaging in a full-throttled public relations blitz, which includes funding industry-friendly research, targeting children, attacking regulators, blaming farmers and “pretending to care” by creating their own greenwashed “save the bees” campaigns.

These efforts are meant to distract policy makers and the general population from identifying the cause of bee decline, which—according to “a strong and growing body of evidence”—is linked to a widely-used class of neurotoxic pesticides called neonicotinoids, or neonics.

Following a 2013 review by the European Food Safety Authority, the European Commission implemented a continent-wide two-year suspension of the three
most-used neonics— imidacloprid, clothianidin and thiamethoxam.

U.S. efforts to enact similar legislation have floundered due to “sophisticated, multi-pronged public relation campaigns” by the leading chemical companies, intent on “manufactur[ing] doubt about their products’ contribution to the bee crisis,” the report charges.

Neonics are used on more than 140 crop seeds and virtually all corn and a large percentage of soy, wheat and canola seeds planted in the U.S. are pretreated with neonics. According to the report, the pesticide makers would have much to lose if neonics were universally banned. In 2009, the neonicotinoid global market was worth roughly $2.6 billion.

“Bayer, Syngenta and Monsanto make billions from bee-killing pesticide products while masquerading as champions of bee health,” said Lisa Archer, food and technology program director at Friends of the Earth. Asking if industry profits are “more important than our food supply,” Archer says that Congress must act now to ban these pesticides that threaten our food security.

“Bees are essential to one out of three bites of the food we eat, and two thirds of global food crops, from almonds to strawberries,” the report states. “While industry attempts at spin, distraction, and the manufacture of doubt may be effective political tools in the U.S. for causing delay and inaction, they will only cause more harm in the long run.”

US Senate Can’t Muster Even Modest Minimum Wage Increase

The effort to bring national low-wage to $10.10 is on verge of defeat

Proving once again that popular economic policies—even modest ones—that would improve the lives of millions of low-wage workers cannot possibly pass in a Congress dominated by the interests of the corporate class, reporting from Capitol Hill on Wednesday reveals that the effort in the U.S. Senate to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 by 2016 is about to die on the vine.

According to Gallup, the historic approval rating of raising the minimum wage is close to 75%. Despite that consistent public support, however, even soft-ball efforts to increase the stagnant level of low-wage pay have faced constant opposition in Congress. The minimum wage, adjusted for inflation, has been flat-lined for nearly forty years and that widespread income and wealth inequality has been shown to harm the overall economy, but neither of those facts have been enough to overcome the opposition of the powerful interests that maintain their grip on both political parties in Washington.

An admittedly weak bill by progressive standards, the bill now in the Senate, introduced by Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa), is expected to be defeated in a procedural vote on Wednesday according to numerous reports.

According to The Hill:

Despite an intense push by President Obama and Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill, Senate Republicans haven’t budged and will reject the measure that would increase the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. The procedural roll call to advance the bill is expected to fail on a party-line vote, short of the 60 votes needed.

The legislation is coming up for a vote after weeks of delay, but a multipronged pressure campaign against Republicans has failed to fracture the GOP — in sharp contrast to prior election years.

Though supported by a majority of Americans in poll after poll (after poll), an increase to the federal minimum wage has faced continued opposition by armies of corporate lobbyists in Washington.

The Associated Press reports:

[Harkin’s] legislation is opposed by business groups including the National Council of Chain Restaurants and the International Franchise Association. The National Restaurant Association has hundreds of members at the Capitol this week lobbying lawmakers on several issues, including opposition to a higher minimum wage.

Also opposed were conservative organizations including Heritage Action and Americans for Prosperity, which is backed by Charles and David Koch. The billionaire brothers are spending millions this year to unseat congressional Democrats, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and his allies are casting them as unfettered villains.

Wednesday’s vote seemed sure to add minimum wage to a scrap heap of Democratic bills that had a shared theme of economic fairness.

Others that have splattered against GOP roadblocks would restore expired benefits for the long-term unemployed and pressure employers to pay men and women equally. Democrats plan future votes on bills easing the costs of college and child care.

“War Is Peace, It Makes Us Rich and Safe”… or So Says the Mainstream Media

War is Peace. What was known as a famous quote from George Orwell’s fiction 1984 has become a reality. Or maybe it is still fiction if you consider that the mainstream media is making up reality on a daily basis.

On April 28, 2014, the homepage of The Washington Post web site featured the picture of a nuclear explosion with the following title: “War is brutal. The alternative is worse.”

Peace is worse than war? Diplomacy worse than a nuclear explosion? I wonder if people in war torn Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and the likes agree.

The subtitle is probably the apex of nonsense: “War may be the worst way imaginable to create peaceful societies, but this professor argues that it’s the only way.” Professor? How can you be a professor and say something so illogical? And how can a newspaper be taken seriously when it publishes such absurdities?

But it gets worse, if that’s even possible. Clicking on the article, you get this:

“Wars make us safer and richer”. Wow. Really?

Who’s “us”? Certainly not the American people:

The decade-long American wars in Afghanistan and Iraq would end up costing as much as $6 trillion, the equivalent of $75,000 for every American household, calculates the prestigious Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government…

It is also imperative to recall that the Bush administration had claimed at the very outset that the Iraq war would finance itself out of Iraqi oil revenues, but Washington DC had instead ended up borrowing some $2 trillion to finance the two wars, the bulk of it from foreign lenders.

According to the Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government 2013 report, this accounted for roughly 20 per cent of the total amount added to the US national debt between 2001 and 2012.

According to the report, the US “has already paid $260 billion in interest on the war debt,” and future interest payments would amount to trillions of dollars. (Sabir Shah, US Wars in Afghanistan, Iraq to Cost $6 trillion)

So, who’s “us” getting richer? The bankers maybe? Because if war makes some people rich, it’s the bankers:

Bankers are often the driving force behind war.

After all, the banking system is founded upon the counter-intuitive but indisputable fact that banks create loans first, and then create deposits later.

In other words, virtually all money is actually created as debt…

Debt (from the borrower’s perspective) owed to banks is profit and income from the bank’s perspective. In other words, banks are in the business of creating more debt … i.e. finding more people who want to borrow larger sums…

What does this have to do with war?

War is the most efficient debt-creation machine…

War is also good for banks because a lot of material, equipment, buildings and infrastructure get destroyed in war. So countries go into massive debt to finance war, and then borrow a ton more to rebuild. (Washington’s Blog, War Creates Massive Debt and Makes the Banks Rich)

“Us” is probably also the military industrial complex, for which peace is enemy number one:

The fact that military activities may become a profitable enterprise leads to the realization that peace is the main enemy of the military-industrial complex. A simple metaphor can illustrate this problem. Grape growers, the wine industry and wine marketers would be completely out of business if people stopped drinking wine. In a similar way, the military-industrial complex would be put out of business by lasting peaceful conditions because the development, production, marketing and use of military equipment would be not needed.

To stay in business, this complex needed the wars in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan, the “cold war” with the Soviet Union, war on terrorism and various other wars. And it needs to be involved in new conflicts, such as in Ukraine at this time. (Vashek Cervinka, Peace is the Enemy of the US Military Industrial Complex)

WE, the people of the world, don’t want wars and WE are not getting “richer” and “safer” with wars. It’s actually quite the contrary. Wars ruin economies and guess what? Wars kill people! How are mass killings and massive debts making “us safer and richer”?

Even though he received the Stanford University Dean’s Award, which “recognizes the efforts of exceptional teachers in the School of Humanities and Sciences” and is “given for excellence in graduate education” and “achievements in teaching”, Professor Morris seems to ignore the existence of what is probably the most important judgement in the history of mankind, The Nuremberg Judgement, which says:

To initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.

We live in a world where award-winning Humanities and Science teachers promote war, the supreme international crime. It cannot get more Orwellian than that.

The American people are now overwhelmingly opposed to more war in Ukraine, Syria, Iran and elsewhere.

Those who get rich from war (the military-industrial complexers and big banks) and their lackeys are desperate to reverse this trend.

As such, they are resorting to more and more outlandish justifications for war.

For example, Ian Morris has written an entire book arguing that war is the best thing ever, the only thing which has lifted us out of poverty and barbarianism. And – yes – he even says that war brings peace.

David Swanson provides a must-read dismantling of Morris’ book.

Morris writes this week in the Washington Post:

War has not only made us safer, but richer, too.

In reality, security experts – conservative hawks and liberal doves alike – agree that waging war in the Middle East weakens national security and increases terrorism. See this, this, this, this, this, this and this. So it doesn’t make us safer.

And there is now overwhelming evidence that war is horrible for the economy, and makes us poorer

Morris continues:

Thinkers have long grappled with the relationships among peace, war and strength. Thomas Hobbes wrote his case for strong government, “Leviathan,” as the English Civil War raged around him in the 1640s.

In reality, Hobbes was an authoritarian who argued – just like (1) the leading Nazi legal scholar and philosopher who created the justification for “total war” to destroy those labeled an “enemy” of the Nazi state (Carl Schmitt), (2) Machiavelli, and (3) the father of the Neoconservatives (Leo Strauss) – that the public should be intentionally whipped into a frenzy of fear so that they would be willing to give up their rights and cede their freedoms to the sovereign.

Indeed, Morris accidentally reveals that he is cut from the exact same cloth when he states:

People almost never give up their freedoms — including, at times, the right to kill and impoverish one another — unless forced to do so.

In other words, freedom bad … authoritarian leader good.

Morris writes:

Since 1914, we have endured world wars, genocides and government-sponsored famines, not to mention civil strife, riots and murders. Altogether, we have killed a staggering 100 million to 200 million of our own kind. But over the century, about 10 billion lives were lived — which means that just 1 to 2 percent of the world’s population died violently. Those lucky enough to be born in the 20th century were on average 10 times less likely to come to a grisly end than those born in the Stone Age.

In other words, War Is Peace, Freedom Is Slavery, and Ignorance Is Strength. I’ve seen this movie before.

Morris cheerfully notes:

And since 2000, the United Nations tells us, the risk of violent death has fallen even further, to 0.7 percent.

Unless, of course, you live in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria or one of the other countries targeted for regime change … in which case your risk of violent death is very high.

Morris argues:

Washington [must] embrace [] its role as the only possible globocop in an increasingly unstable world — a world with far deadlier weapons than Britain could have imagined a century ago.

In other words, Morris is an unrepentant apologist for American empire.

Amusingly, the vast majority of comments to Morris’ Washington post essay attack him for being a desperate shill and a fool.

But endless war is a feature – not a bug – of U.S. policy, and the American media (including the big “alternative” sites) are always pro-war.

So expect to hear crazier and crazier “justifications” for war.
