Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Please see directly below.  Harper’s bizarre, indeed!  It’s as though he had known for quite some time that these shooting episodes would happen this week and now is toasting the success of these occasions by selecting a rare elegant Cabernet Sauvignon from his wine cellar.
It will be easy now for him to control Canadian speech and behavior even more tightly.
This increased control is expressed in the pimp/whore BBC today as “Harper has vowed to strengthen the nation’s terror laws”.  A more up-front way of saying this is he vows to weaken what few remnants of civil rights still exist in Canada.
The next eye-opener is this opening sentence from a piece in the Jewish Press
(<

http://www.jewishpress.com/news/breaking-news/terror-us-pledges-support-for-canada-but-tells-israel-to-stay-calm/2014/10/23/

>):
The Obama administration pledged its “full support” for Canada to “to hold those responsible” for Wednesday’s terrorist attack but told Israel “to maintain calm and avoid escalating tensions.”
Yeah, it’s as though Abominable knew the Israelis perpetrated this (just as they’d co-perpetrated 9/11 and evidently helped with London 7/7 also) by using mind-control gear to get sequels to the socalled Manchurian Candidate and now he has sent them a friendly warning not to try to get away with too much behind it.
Next, please see third below where we learn that the Canadian cops “just minutes after” the first shooting, tried to suppress photos of it.  Hey, why weren’t they busy longer than that merely getting police and ambulances to it?  Did they move so quickly to censor because they too knew in advance that it would happen?
I wish now that I’d copied and pasted a message to Harper from US National Security Advisor Susan Rice.  It was so pat that it felt like it had been written a few days in advance.
Finally, please check out Richard Sauder’s piece near the bottom where he suggests one or more much bigger false-flag events may be happening soon.

                                                               Power to the Flora,

                                                               Keith Lampe, Ro-Non-So-Te, Ponderosa Pine
                                                               Volunteer

PS:  Supportive of the thesis of Israelis using mind-control gear is this sentence about the shooter from the RT piece second below: “His parents had reportedly gone long periods of time without seeing their son.”  Yes, even with state-of-the-art CIA mind-control technology, it still takes at least a few days to gain reliable control of a person.
Harper’s bizarre: PM in Ottawa shooting Twitter wined-up
Published time: October 23, 2014

With the parliament in lock down and the capital of Ottawa seized by panic during Wednesday’s shooting spree, Canadian PM Stephen Harper was seen at a televised briefing with a glass of red wine.

During an emergency televised briefing with Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Commissioner Bob Paulson, Harper is seen with a nearly-empty glass of red wine at his side. Suddenly the shooting spree took a backseat on the blogosphere, as social media erupted in debate as to whether ‘drinking on the job’ – especially at the height of a national emergency – was the responsible thing for a leader to do.

On Wednesday at 9:52am, gunman Michael Zehaf-Bibeau opened fire at the Ottawa War Memorial, fatally wounding Corporal Nathan Cirilloa, 24, before heading to the parliament building, where alleged assailant Zehaf-Bibeau was shot dead by Sergeant-at-Arms Kevin Vickers outside the MPs’ caucus rooms, CBC News reported.

At the same time, the RCMP issued a statement requesting the public not to post videos or photos relating to the shooting as it was occurring, which many say infringed upon the work of journalists and the rights of private citizens in the area.

In an address to the nation following the shooting, Harper extended his condolences to the family and friends of Corporal Nathan Cirillo, who was “murdered in cold blood, as he provided a ceremonial honor guard at Canada’s National War Memorial,” as well as to Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who was killed earlier this week by “an ISIL-inspired terrorist.”

Harper told his fellow Canadians that such incidents “are a grim reminder that Canada is not immune to the types of terrorist attacks we have seen elsewhere around the world.”

Ottawa gunman ‘privately-educated’ son

of Canada immigration chief, acted alone

Published time: October 23, 2014

Following the Canadian shooting attack which threw Ottawa into lockdown, a 32-year-old, Quebec-born male was identified as the sole perpetrator – and his mother was found to work at Canada’s Immigration and Refugee board.

The gunman responsible for the attack on the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa acted alone, authorities confirmed on Thursday, adding that that there is no link to an attack in Quebec earlier in the week.

“We have no information linking the two attacks this week,” said Bob Paulson, commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, saying that the shooter Michael Zehaf-Bibeau may also have held a Libyan passport.

Police also said that checks by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) found no evidence of national security related offenses, although the Canadian-born Zehaf-Bibeau had a record of drugs violations and , violence related activity, Paulson said. Authorities said Zehaf-Bibeau wanted to go to Syria.

Michael Zehaf-Bibeau had converted to Islam prior to the attacks in Ottawa and had previously had his passport revoked and been arrested several times. He was privately educated and the son of the deputy chairperson of Canada’s immigration division, Susan   Bibeau, reported CTV News.

Despite his education he had been regarded as somewhat disturbed by one of his friends from his youth and in later years had several drug and robbery arrests and one weapons charge – he was also classed as a high-risk traveler despite his mother’s position.

One friend, friend Dave Bathurst, told Canada’s Globe and Mail that he had exhibited some signs of possibly suffering mental illness: “We were having a conversation in a kitchen, and I don’t know how he worded it: He said the devil is after him,” he said.

His parents had reportedly gone long periods of time without seeing their son. READ MORE: Ottawa gunman ‘identified’ as recent Muslim convert, high-risk traveler

On Wednesday, his mother, Susan Bibeau told AP that she was crying for the victims of her son’s attack, 24-year-old soldier Nathan Cirillo, rather than for her son.

“Can you ever explain something like this?” she said through tears, during a telephone call. “We are sorry.”

She added that she did not know what to say to the people who were injured.

“No words can express the sadness we are feeling at this time. We are so sad that a man lost his life. He has lost everything and he leaves behind a family that must feel nothing but pain and sorrow,” the parents said in their official statement read. “I don’t understand and part of me wants to hate him at this time. You write that our son was vulnerable, we don’t know, we (he) was lost and did not fit in. I his mother spoke with him last week over lunch, I had not seen him for over five years before that.”

Bibeau was killed by Sergeant-at-Arms Kevin Vickers shortly after his attack on Parliament Hill and a shooting at the National War Memorial.
The shootings which shook Canada on Wednesday morning put the capital on lockdown as well as all military bases nationwide. Three people were hospitalized in the storm of bullets he unleashed on Parliament Hill before he was shot dead.

Censorship: RCMP Asks Public Not to Post Photos, Videos of Ottawa Shooting

Canadian officials attempt to censor press

Kit Daniels

October 22, 2014

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police asked the public not to post videos or photos relating to this morning’s shooting in Ottawa, Canada, as it was occurring, raising fears that officials were trying to censor news on the shooting near Canada’s Parliament.

The RCMP made the announcement on Twitter just minutes after at least one shooter killed a soldier at the National War Memorial of Canada, which is mere blocks from government buildings.

Despite claiming the censorship “ensures safety of first responders and the public,” the RCMP’s announcement raises valid concerns that government officials were trying to control the release of news surrounding the shooting to give them an opportunity to bury facts which place officials in a bad light.

The RCMP announcement is nothing short of an attack on the press because media outlets use social media as a source of news, and such censorship only benefits the government while doing little to ensure public safety.

“Twitter is the fastest way to break news now,” Guardian News & Media CEO Andrew Miller said back in 2013. “So core to what we do and core to what we do on a daily basis.”

For example, if it wasn’t for citizen-journalists tweeting the latest developments during the unrest in Ferguson, Mo., back in August, police brutality during the protests would have gone unnoticed.

“In Ferguson, Twitter users were able to see photos and video clips of Al Jazeera’ cameras and other equipment being removed after police fired a tear gas canister towards the news crew (police have since said they were just relocating the media to a safer area), and they were able to see [Washington Post journalist] Wesley Lowery being detained by police, and follow along in real time as he described having his head slammed into a soda machine, and reported how his requests to get the names and badge numbers of the police were repeatedly denied,” Mathew Ingram of Gigaom wrote. “In the absence of any other witnesses to that kind of behavior, Twitter becomes a crucial check on the power of the authorities.”

But what makes the RCMP’s attempt at censorship even more alarming is the fact that the shooting occurred near federal government buildings in the capital of Canada, which may not have been randomly chosen by the suspects.

So far the RCMP and Ottawa Police have provided few details about the incident, despite police investigating other shootings reportedly occurring at Parliament Hill and Rideau Centre, a three-level shopping center.

“Most of downtown Ottawa is in lockdown,” Constable Marc Soucy said, according to USA Today.

It appears the majority of the media’s current knowledge about the shooting stems from first-hand reports on social media, particularly Twitter, which really highlights the danger of the RCMP’s attempt at  censorship.

Canadian Fear Campaign: “Islamic Extremists” and the Dubious Role of Intelligence Agencies

Global Research, October 24, 2014
With the killing of a Canadian soldier in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, on October 20, and the shooting on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on October 22, the Canadian authorities and the mainstream media have already decided. Without evidence, they are blaming “Islamic extremism” for both incidents, even though we know practically nothing about the two men who acted alone. No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but we are told that the two young men had converted to Islam and one of them, Martin Couture-Rouleau, who hit a soldier with his car in Saint-Jean, had “self-radicalized over the internet”. The Edmonton Sun said that “family and law enforcement try to find out why he followed ISIS kill commands.” Is there any evidence that he was “following ISIS Kill commands”?

We were told that both were known by the authorities who had confiscated their passports for fear that they would join terrorist organizations abroad. If the authorities went as far as confiscating their passports for fear they would commit terrorist attacks abroad, didn’t they fear that they would commit attacks here?

At this point we can only speculate about the motives of these two men. And one question that the media should ask, is whether the Canadian Secret Intelligence Services (CSIS) had anything to do with these attacks, since it has a known history of using informants to infiltrate Muslim organizations and issue violent threats against Canadian citizens. Moreover, known and documented ISIS has been supported covertly by the US and its Persian Gulf allies since the outset of the Syrian insurgency in March 2011.

But since the first killing on October 20, rather than being suspicious of the authorities, who have been warning us of the “homegrown terrorist threat” for months, the media relies almost exclusively on security and terrorism “experts” and law enforcement officials to provide “authoritative commentary” and they all agree on the “Islamic extremist” theory and self-radicalization on the internet.

It is very disturbing to say the least that security and terrorism “experts” are unaware that the root cause of terrorism, as demonstrated by studies, is not Islamic fundamentalism or any ideology, but foreign occupation, not to mention the fact that Al Qaeda affiliated terrorists are supported covertly by Western intelligence.

Based on research from the University of Chicago’s Project on Security and Terrorism, and funded in part by the US Defense Department’s Threat Reduction Agency, Professor Robert A. Pape and James K. Feldman wrote a book in 2010 called “Cutting the Fuse: The Explosion of Global Suicide Terrorism and How to Stop.”

Abdus Sattar Ghazali summarized the book’s conclusions in 2010:

In 2000, before the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, there were 20 suicide attacks around the world, and only one (against the USS Cole) was directed against Americans. In the last 12 months, by comparison, 300 suicide attacks have occurred, and over 270 were anti-American. We simply must face the reality that, no matter how well-intentioned, the current war on terror is not serving U.S. interests.”

The authors examined more than 2,200 suicide attacks across the world from 1980 to the present. As the United States has occupied Afghanistan and Iraq, which have a combined population of about 60 million, total suicide attacks worldwide have risen dramatically — from about 300 from 1980 to 2003, to 1,800 from 2004 to 2009. Further, over 90-percent of suicide attacks worldwide are now anti-American. The vast majority of suicide terrorists hail from the local region threatened by foreign troops, which is why 90-percent of suicide attackers in Afghanistan are Afghans.

In Cutting the Fuse, the authors pointed out: “Prior to 9/11, the expert debate on the causes of suicide terrorism was divided largely between two explanations — religious fanaticism and mental illness. In the years after 9/11, new research on who becomes a suicide terrorist showed that virtually none could be diagnosed as mentally ill, while many were religious and, most striking, nearly all emerged from communities resisting foreign military occupation.” (Abdus Sattar Ghazali,The root cause of suicide terrorism is occupation: New study, OpEd News, September 29, 2010)

Back in 2007, Alexandre Popovic wrote extensively about how CSIS informants “infiltrated the Canadian Muslim community and contributed to portray Islam in a negative way and fuel the stereotypes that Muslims are essentially dangerous extremists.” (Alexandre Popovic, Les manipulations médiatiques du SCRS, September 1, 2007)

One of the informants, Youssef Muammar, became the “leader of several organizations such as the International Islamic Foundation of Canada, Petro Action, the International Institute of Islamic Research, the Communauté de la nation musulmane du Grand Montréal, the Grand Mosque, Info-Islam and the magazine Le Monde islamique.” (André Noël, «Un drôle d’espion», La Presse, December 14, 2001, p. A7, cited in Alexandre Popovic, Les manipulations médiatiques du SCRS, September 1, 2007)

In other words, through its high-profile informants, CSIS was squarely in position to shape the public perception of the Canadian Muslim community.

Both informants in question are Gilles Joseph Breault, aka “Dr. Youssef Muammar” and “Abu Jihad” from Montreal, and Mubin Shaikh from Toronto. Note that we are not dealing here with mere speculation or an umpteenth conspiracy theory. First, both individuals publicly admitted working under the orders of CSIS. On the other hand, their multiple media interventions are largely documented in the archives of print media, which have gone so far as to portray the two informants as spokespersons of the Canadian Muslim community, even as their “leaders”.

From 1989 to 1994, Youssef Muammar seems to have been involved in all the controversies, be they large or small and associated directly or indirectly with radical Islam, such as the attempted coup in Trinidad and Tobago or the spread of heinous anti-Jewish propaganda […]

After openly supporting anti-Israel terrorism and appealing to murder opponents of the Islamic Salvation Front, an Algerian Islamist party now dissolved, Muammar sent messages threatening of biochemical weapons attacks in the Montreal metro. (Ibid.)

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and CSIS have been warning Canadians about “the very real terrorist threat” for months but, say they were “caught by surprise” by the two recent attacks committed by individuals they were monitoring close enough to confiscate their passports.

We were told that in Montreal people who are working in areas with a dense Muslim and immigrant population met with police and imams and were asked to “remain vigilant” and report “any suspicious activity” because they were “expecting something to happen.”

This method of relying on civilians to “spy” on their fellow citizens is reminiscent of the East German Stasi, the Ministry of State Security. “One of its main tasks was spying on the population, mainly through a vast network of citizens turned informants, and fighting any opposition by overt and covert measures including hidden psychological destruction of dissidents.”

Canadians need to keep in mind that the attacks are being used as a pretext for increased police state security measures and an integration of border security with the United States. The Ottawa shooter was actually identified by US sources even before the Canadian police had identified him. This raises serious questions on the extent to which the US and Canadian intelligence services are integrated. The Week reported:

Canadian police are yet to officially identify the suspect but US sources told Reuters he is Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, a 32-year-old Canadian who recently converted to Islam. He was reportedly born and raised in Quebec, and later spent time in Libya and various regions of Canada as a labourer. His father is believed to be Bulgasem Zehaf, a Quebec businessman who appears to have fought in 2011 in Libya, and Susan Bibeau, the deputy chair of a division of Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board. (Michael Zehaf-Bibeau: the gunman behind the Ottawa shootings, The Week, October 23, 2014)

Knowing that most terrorist plots in the US are orchestrated by the FBI, as the extensive Mother Jones research showed, this integration between the two countries is far from reassuring.

We should also remember that NATO has a history of false flag terrorism. Operation Gladio, NATO’s secret army, was a clandestine operation to prevent the rise of communism in Europe and was used to commit terrorist attacks against the population, which were blamed on the Communists. The ultimate goal was to have people turn to the state for more security and reject communism. (See also Tony Cartalucci: Canadian Terror Wave: a Modern-Day Gladio)

In the past two days, in addition to calls for increased security measures, we are clearly seeing the glorification of the Canadian military, which has taken part in illegal bombings in the Middle East for many years in the name of democracy and other false humanitarian pretexts. Far from being a solution to terrorism, the Canadian Forces are part of the problem. The bombing of Libya, to cite the most recent example, helped fuel terrorism in the region.

And last but not least,  why it is so easy for extremists to use Facebook and other social media to issue death threats and apparently radicalize young fragile minds when until recently Facebook “moderators were told to ban images of breastfeeding if the nipples were exposed”.

But most importantly, the Canadian media should be questioning Canada’s foreign policy and Ottawa’s military involvement in America’s wars instead of focusing on “self-radicalized individuals”.

Canadian Government Seizes on Ottawa Shooting to Promote Militarist, Anti-democratic Agenda

Canada’s Conservative government is seeking to exploit the killing of two Canadian Armed Forces’ soldiers in separate incidents this week to dramatically shift politics further to the right.

Speaking in parliament Thursday—the day after a gunman fatally shot a soldier at Ottawa’s National War Memorial, then entered the main block of the national parliament—Prime Minister Stephen Harper vowed to greatly strengthen Canada’s national security apparatus.

“Our law and police powers,” declared Harper, “need to be strengthened in the area of surveillance, detention and arrest.” He continued, “I assure you that work—which is already underway—will be expedited.”

Since Monday’s hit-and-run killing of a Canadian Armed Forces’ warrant officer in St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Harper and his government have gone into overdrive to promote the false narrative that Canada is under “terrorist” assault.

The government’s response to Wednesday’s events was extraordinary. It enacted the Canadian state’s National Anti-Terrorism Plan, which involves the coordinated mobilization of all sections of the national-security apparatus, including the military; placed large sections of downtown Ottawa under lockdown for ten hours; and ordered Canadian Armed Forces’ bases across the country to go on high alert.

In conjunction with Washington, the joint US-Canadian North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) increased its “alert posture,” ordering additional fighter jets to be ready to take to the skies at a moment’s notice.

Yesterday, heightened security remained in effect across the country, at Parliament Hill and the provincial legislatures, other public buildings and on public transport. Politicians and representatives of the police, military and intelligence apparatus all made statements warning Canadians to get used to enhanced security measures disrupting day-to-day life .

A somber Harper went out of his way to paint Canada as under siege in a brief, nationally-televised address given Wednesday evening—that is long after it had become apparent, if it was ever in serious doubt, that there had been only a single gunman.

He repeatedly used the words “terrorist” and “terrorist attack,” claimed the two incidents constituted an attack on Canada and democracy, and sought to channel popular revulsion over them behind Canada’s leading role in the new US war in the Middle East.

The reality is that both of this week’s killings were carried out by lone, misguided and disorientated individuals. All reports indicate that they were not members of a “homegrown” anti-government group, let alone of a foreign terrorist organization.

The Ottawa shooter, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, was living in a homeless shelter in the days before his shooting spree. Residents at the Ottawa shelter told reporters he had behaved extremely erratically.

At a press conference yesterday afternoon, RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson confirmed that there was no link between Zehaf-Bibeau and Martin Couture-Rouleau, the “radicalized” Muslim convert who carried out Monday’s attack in St-Jean.

If the Harper government, aided and abetted by the corporate media, is framing these tragic incidents as terrorist acts, it is because such a narrative serves predetermined reactionary politically ends.

The immediate goal is to rally support for Canada’s participation in the new Mideast war and to rush through legislation giving further repressive powers to the national-security apparatus.

In doing this, the government and Canada’s ruling elite are following a now well-trodden path. Since the September 11, 2001 events, terrorist attacks and scares have been repeatedly exploited to advance an agenda of military aggression abroad and attacks on democratic rights at home. Right-wing measures that would previously have been impossible to implement due to public hostility have been pushed through in a deliberately-fostered climate of fear, hysteria and nationalist militarism.

Within weeks of 9/11, Canada’s then Liberal government, following the lead of the Bush administration, adopted a draconian anti-terrorism law. Its provisions include a catch-all definition of “terrorism” that could be used to suppress political strikes and vast new powers for the Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC), the Canadian partner of the US National Security Agency or NSA.

Canada also took on a major role in the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, deploying combat troops to that impoverished country for a decade and embarking on a rearmament drive. By 2011 Ottawa was spending more in real, inflation-adjusted terms on the military than any time since the end of the Second World War.

Harper has been among the most bellicose of western leaders, defending Israel’s war crimes against the people of Gaza and stoking NATO’s confrontation with Russia over Ukraine. Most recently, his government deployed a fleet of fighter planes and almost 700 military personnel to join the new war the US has unleashed on the Middle East, so as to shore up and extend Washington’s domination of the world’s most important oil-exporting region.

Harper and the ruling elite are acutely aware that there is widespread popular opposition to their war agenda—that is, to their plans to secure the Canadian bourgeoisie a “place at the table” in the imperialist reordering of the Middle East and Eurasia. Asked in early September why he hadn’t endorsed the US-British call for all NATO countries to spend at least two percent of GDP on the military, Harper was forced to concede that the Canadian people would not “understand” such a decision.

Harper’s gratuitous reference to the war in the Middle East in his Wednesday night speech makes clear the Conservatives intend to use this week’s events to try to silence and intimidate the war’s millions of opponents and create the political climate to expand Canada’s role. Already last week, the head of the armed forces said the deployment, currently slated for six months, will most likely have to be extended.

As Harper indicated in his remarks to parliament Thursday, the government was already planning to give the country’s national-security agencies significant new powers. Indeed, a draft bill was to have been tabled in the House of Commons on Wednesday.

The government had signaled that this legislation would allow CSEC and Canada’s premier spy agency, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), to work even more closely with the NSA and the other foreign intelligence agencies, including in the tracking of Canadian “terrorist” suspects who go abroad.

The government had also said that it would amend the 2001 Anti-Terrorism Act to give CSIS informants blanket immunity. This would mean not only that the identity of CSIS informants would have to be protected in all legal proceedings, but that they could not be questioned by defence lawyers and even judges.

The government has not announced a new date for the tabling of this legislation. This strongly suggests that it intends to redraft it to include still more anti-democratic measures, calculating that it can now stampede them through.

These changes will add to the broad range of capabilities already at the disposal of the intelligence services. Since 2001, CSIS and CSEC have seen their budgets explode. With the government’s full support they have arrogated new powers, such as the right to systematically spy on the metadata of Canadians’ electronic communications.

No one should be under any illusion that the opposition parties will mount any serious resistance to the government’s plans to use this week’s events to intensify its militarist foreign policy and attack on democratic rights.

The Conservative government has only widened and deepened the right-wing policies of its Liberal predecessor. The trade union-supported New Democratic Party (NDP) has supported Canada’s participation in a series of US-led wars and interventions, including the 1999 war on Yugoslavia, the Afghan war, the 2004 overthrow of Haiti’s elected president and NATO’s 2011 “regime change” war in Libya.

These parties’ opposition to the current Canadian Armed Forces’ combat mission in Iraq is an exercise in cynicism and hypocrisy that has been motivated by electoral calculations, concerns that the current war, like the 2003 Iraq war, will redound against imperialist interests, and fears it will fuel social opposition at home.

Both the Liberals and the NDP have kept an almost total and complicit silence about CSEC’s spying on Canadians and its major role in the NSA’s gargantuan global spy network.

Predictably they have responded to Wednesday’s events, by rallying round the Harper Conservative government, lending credence to its tendentious claims that Canada is under attack.

NDP leader Thomas Muclair said the Ottawa shooting had been “designed to strike at the very heart of our democracy—at the heart of who we are.” In a display of “national unity,” Mulcair embraced Harper following the prime minister’s right-wing address Thursday morning.

Sierra Leone: Nano Silver 10 PPM Now Official Ebola Therapy

Ebola-torn Sierra Leone announced today that it has approved nutrient Nano Silver 10 PPM as an Ebola therapy based on the positive results seen when it defied strong international pressure, testing nutrient Nano Silver 10 PPM in Ebola patients over the past three weeks.

“If you say that this illness does not get better, then that’s a lie because 500 people have gotten better…..Sheikh Massally.. sent the nutrient Nano Silver. This works; people are getting better.” Hon. Alpha Kanu, Minister of Information, Sierra Leone

Newton, NJ (PRWEB) October 21, 2014

Nano Silver 10 PPM has been officially approved as a therapy against the deadly Ebola virus by Honourable Alhaji Alpha Kanu, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Presidential and Public Affairs. Minister Kanu announced today that based on clinical results in the Ebola-torn areas of Port Loko and elsewhere, nutrient Nano Silver 10 PPM has been declared an official approved therapy in the Ebola crisis. No other treatment currently exists for Ebola victims.

Ebola, the viral disease which has killed at least 4,400 people in West Africa, has made its entrance into the United States (1 known death) and the EU (3 known deaths) where it poses a serious health threat if it spreads as it has in West Africa, Health officials are scrambling to find viable options in case of an outbreak following WHO’s announcement on August 12, 2014 clearing the way for human experimentation with untested materials of unknown safety.

The Minister focused his announcement on one of the safest, yet most controversial natural tools in the Ebola battle, consistently linked to overcoming viral and other disease-causing organisms — Nano Silver 10 PPM. Referring to Nano Silver 10 PPM for Ebola patients, Minister Kanu stated in an October 11, 2014 video,

“There is no illness that doesn’t have a cure. If you say that this illness does not get better, then that’s a lie because 500 people have gotten better…We already have the beds and the medicines. Sheikh Massally–he is an Imam–in Atlanta, USA, has sent the nutrient Nano Silver. This works; people are getting better.” See Minister Kanu’s full statement here: http://drrimatruthreports.com/this-works-sierra-leone-information-minister/

Nine days later, Minister Kanu followed that declaration with his official announcement today that henceforward, Nano Silver 10 PPM is now part of the strategy of his country in helping people with Ebola move past the illness.

Two of Sierra Leone’s leading newspapers, The Exclusive, and The Standard Times Press, confirmed the Minister’s announcement today: see here, http://standardtimespress.org/?p=5520 .

Sierra Leone is one of the hardest-hit counties in the Ebola epidemic which Margaret Chan, MD, WHO Director, says is “out of control” and “poses a threat to international peace”, yet that organization has, as detailed by Minister Kanu, expressed strong opposition to trials with  Nano Silver 10 PPM.

Nano Silver 10 PPM’s well-documented benefits make it a meaningful nutritional adjunct when dealing with viral and other infections. A 2009 declassified study sponsored through the United States Department of Defense found that the same Nano Silver 10 PPM (parts per million) provided to Sierra Leone by the Natural Solutions Foundation and Sheikh Ismail Massally supports normal cell membrane integrity, even in the presence of the Ebola virus.

While the Food and Drug Agency (FDA), World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) discount silvers benefits for Ebola (or other) patients, there was no way to know until a proper test was conducted on infected patients. That test took place in Sierra Leone in the past 3 weeks under Minister Kanu’s personal responsibility for deploying it to the afflicted working with the Minister of Health and other officials.

Silver is inexpensive, self-sterilizing, non-toxic and easy to use. Silver, however, does not appear to be on most scientists’ radar when it comes to finding approaches to Ebola, although WHO declared it to be “ethical” to try “unproven interventions” and that there is a “moral duty” to test them, per this Link.

When Natural Solutions Foundation’s Medical Director, Rima E. Laibow, MD, addressed the assembled African Ministers of Health in 2007 at an African Health Summit in Mombasa, she warned them about emergent viruses. On August 1, 2014 in her Open Letter to the Heads of State and Ministers of Health of the four Ebola-stricken countries, she urged them to consider a particular nutrient, Nano Silver 10 PPM, in the Ebola crisis. She advised them that its use is part of a prudent program of powerful, safe immune support. In fact, this particular Nano Silver 10 PPM is the precise material used in the DoD study.

She reminded them that according to WHO/CDC/FDA there is no material which has ever been demonstrated to have the same immune boosting capacity when facing Ebola. In that letter, she reminds us that the stakes are very high since respiratory Ebola has a 90%+ mortality while contact Ebola has “only” 60-70% mortality. Dr. Laibow’s Open Letter is here: http://TinyURL.com/StopEbola.

Sheikh Massally read Dr. Laibow’s letter and reached out to her to provide Nano Silver to his people. Dr. Laibow shared her Protocol for the use of nutrient Nano Silver 10 PPM with the doctors of Sierra Leone.

Concerned citizens are advised to take basic precautions against possible contamination. Avoid shaking hands with people who are visibly ill. Hand washing is another way to minimize physical contact but since the disease is airborne, according to the US Army Military Research Institute for Infectious Diseases Special Report, that is only one of the possible ways to protect health. Some health professionals, especially those familiar with the power of natural modalities like Dr. Laibow, recommend the use of Nano Silver 10 PPM as part of a nutritional immune enhancement approach, supporting homeostasis, resulting in a vibrant immune system.

A Guinean woman has been attacked in a bus in Rome by angry passengers who told her she was infected by Ebola and had to get off the bus, Italian media reports. She was taken to hospital suffering from multiple bruises.

‘I am a Liberian, not a virus’ campaign fights Ebola stigma plaguing West Africans

Fataomata Sompare, 26, was about to get off the bus on Monday, said Il Messaggero, an Italian newspaper, as cited by the Local.

A teenage girl who was on the bus with her friends saw Sompare and began accusing her of having the deadly virus. Then some of the teen’s relatives started beating the woman.

“They told me that I had Ebola and that I had to get off the bus,” said Sompare, who has been living in Italy for four years.

People at a bus stop near Grotte Celoni Metro station in the east of the city managed to save the woman, who suffered multiple bruises after being beaten by passengers. The police arrived and she was taken to hospital.

Ebola hysteria soars to new heights in US schools

The incident was reported to public prosecutors by Sompare’s lawyer.

“[She is] a victim of racism, which is now rampant in this city,” the Sompare’s partner Alessandro Corbelli told Il Messaggero. He added that the incident was “shameful” and she had been attacked “only because she’s black.”

The incident is not the only example of Ebola hysteria in recent days. In the US, Ebola-phobic parents sent a Maine teacher on mandatory leave after he returned from Dallas, where first victim of the virus in the country died. In Mississippi, parents pulled their kids out of school because of the principal’s trip to Zambia.

The death toll from the Ebola virus has reached 4,877 people for far, the World Health Organization said on Wednesday.

According to the UN health body, 9,936 people in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the three countries worst-affected by the virus, have contracted the disease.

(As I have said for 2 days now — THIS COULD BE A GAME CHANGER– if this giant sunspot decides to erupt with a massive X flare or CME, our electric grid is toast – literally.)

AR 2192 expanded to a size of 2700 millionths which puts it on par, at least in terms of total area coverage with legendary Cycle 23 sunspot 486 from October 2003. AR 2192 is now in a near perfect geoeffective position for Earth directed eruptions. The cluster still maintains a complex Beta-Gamma-Delta magnetic configuration and could produce additional moderate to strong solar flares.

Inhaling The Highly Toxic Climate Engineering Fallout

October 23, 2014     12 Comments
Though there is always some particulate matter in the air, if you shine a bright light into the night after a day of heavy atmospheric spraying, the fallout from the climate engineering looks like snow raining down from the sky. How many nights in the forest I have done exactly this, to witness these chemical and metal particles covering everything that lives is beyond distressing. Difficult to see in the daylight, a beam of light through the darkness reveals the nemesis we fight in this battle that we must win or all will be lost. Every breath we take is laden with the contamination that is being constantly spewed from above, the planet is dying from the assault. The population will not wake up on their own, it’s up to those of us that are already awake to stir the masses from their slumber before it is too late. Giving up is not an option, all that are conscious need to assist with dire effort of sounding the alarm. The video below was taken in Germany after a day of heavy aerosol spraying in the skies.

IPCC Says We Can’t Stop Geoengineering
October 22, 2014     11 Comments
The 3-minute video clip attached gives a glimpse of the glaring truths that are hidden in plain sight. The entire climate science community is talking about the need to implement climate engineering solar radiation management programs immediately to avert a climate catastrophe. The same climate scientists then turn clinically blind and flatly deny the all too visible aerosol spraying from the ongoing global geoengineering programs. Some scientists are certainly in flat out denial in regard to the climate engineering reality, others are afraid to say what they know. A NOAA scientist stated the following to me  personally in a face to face conversation, ” We know the climate engineering is going on, and we are alarmed as hell. We don’t know what to do as we have no first amendment protection because we are government scientists”. All of us are being sprayed like lab rats day in and day out. The criminal cabal that we call our government has taken every imaginable step to silence all experts and agencies under its control. It’s up to us, the people, to sound the alarm. Do your part, join us in this desperate battle to expose and stop the climate engineering insanity.

St. Louis teen shot 6 times from behind – independent autopsy

Published time: October 24, 2014

A black teenager, killed by an off-duty police officer in St. Louis, was shot eight times, six of the bullets striking him from behind, an independent autopsy by a famed forensic expert revealed.

The autopsy was performed at the request of the victim’s family by Dr. Cyril Wecht, who has previously investigated the deaths of John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley and JonBenet Ramsey.

According to Wecht, 18-year-old Vonderrit Myers was shot eight times. Six bullets hit the back of both his legs, one shattered his femur and another struck the side of his head, inflicting a fatal injury.

Attorneys for the dead young man’s family believe the autopsy results suggest Myers was running away from the police officer.

“The evidence shows that the story we’ve been given by the Police Department does not match up,” attorney Jerryl Christmas said, as cited by the AP. “There’s no evidence that there was a gun battle going on.”

Another Myers family lawyer, Jermaine Wooten, said shots the young man received from behind contradicted police allegations that the teen was facing the officer the whole time, the St. Louis American reported.

Police earlier said it was the dead teenager who started shooting and fired at least three rounds at the officer, before his gun jammed. The policeman, whose name is not disclosed allegedly fired back 17 times.

The police said its forensic analysis revealed the presence of gunpowder residue on Myers’ hands and clothes, which proved he was shooting a gun.

The police explanation of what happened did not contradict the findings of the independent autopsy, according to the officer’s attorney, Brian Millikan.

He insists the policeman was firing at Myers not when he was running away, but when he was lying on his side with a gun in his hand.

“He was propped up on his left elbow, and his legs were facing out at the policeman as he went down, but he was still holding the gun and pointing it at the policeman,” Millikan said, according to AP.

Myers’ parents were present at the autopsy results announcement but did not speak to the press afterwards. Earlier they claimed their son did not possess a gun.

Wecht received a subpoena to hand over his autopsy report to a grand jury reviewing Myers’ death.

An official autopsy by St. Louis Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Graham is not expected for several weeks. A preliminary report on Graham’s autopsy said Myers was shot up to seven times in the lower part of his body and received a fatal shot in his right cheek.

Myers was shot dead October 8, with his death provoking mass protests in St. Louis. The incident happened just two months after the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, in Ferguson, Missouri, which led to violent clashes between crowds protesting the shooting and police behavior.

Ukraine’s multibillion-dollar gas debt: Who pays?

Published time: October 22, 2014

Ukraine plans to buy $770 million worth of gas (2 billion cubic meters) from Russia this winter to keep the heat on, but before that, they must pay off $1.45 billion in debt. The question is: who is going to pay the bill?

All three parties, Russia, the EU, and Ukraine met in Brussels on Tuesday and confirmed Kiev will pay $385 per 1,000 cubic meters of Russian supplied gas through the end of March. Before Ukraine can start purchasing gas, they need to pay off $1.45 billion in debt.

“There’s one obstacle: Ukraine failed to pay for Russian-supplied gas for seven months,” Oettinger said Tuesday. It will be difficult for Ukraine to find a benefactor, since, as Oettinger pointed out, its credit history is less than stellar. The economy is in ruin and may already need extra IMF money to stay afloat.

READ MORE: Ukraine’s economy contracts 4 times faster in Q2, losing 4.7%

So where should Ukraine get the money from?

1. EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger suggests the EU become a broker between Ukraine and Russia.

“If Naftogaz can’t pay, another European company may buy Russian gas and then resell it.”

“It is also possible that the Russian gas transit tariff can be used as gas payments,” Oettinger said.Russia sends more than 80 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe through Ukraine, and each entry/exit point has a different tariff, ranging from $14 to $45 per 1,000 cubic meters. The question of payment for Russian gas remains key, according to Oettinger.

2. The CEO of Gazprom, Aleksey Miller, is not pleased with Oettinger’s cavalier suggestion and said only Gazprom can sell Ukraine Russian gas, not Europe.

“We will not sell gas to Ukraine through a third party.”

Miller said Europe cannot resell gas to Ukraine, since all gas is supplied under specific contracts with each country, and enters at different delivery points.

Russia turned off gas supplies to Ukraine in June over a pricing dispute and the debt, and is demanding repayment of at least $3.1 billion before deliveries are resumed.

3. Ukraine’s Energy Minister Yuri Prodan says they are ready to pay for future gas, but not for the $3.1 they owe Gazprom.

“We are ready to make an advance payment, but we haven’t yet settled the way to pay our $3.1 billion debt.”

Naftogaz, Ukraine’s national oil and gas company, owes Gazprom $4.5 billion in total, at least $3.1 billion before the new year, and $1.45 billion before they can start buying gas again.

4. Either way, Russia wants Europe to come up with the cash, and soon, says Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak.

“Possible sources include guarantees from first-class European banks, bridging loans, funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, or the European Commission.”

Novak says Kiev will purchase 2 billion cubic meters of gas, or $770 million worth from Russia, as well as another 2 billion from neighboring European states.

“If Europe gives them the money, then gas will flow,” Novak said at an energy forum in Moscow Wednesday.

The last stumbling block in the negotiations is simply a matter of money. According to Novak, the deal could have been signed on Tuesday if Kiev could show they are financially solvent enough to pay for future deliveries and debt.

5. Vladimir Putin says Russia has given Ukraine enough financial cushion over the years, and now its Europe’s turn.

“In this situation, our European partners must give Ukraine a shoulder to lean on, and help.”

6. So far gas to Europe is still flowing, but the shut offs in 2006 and 2009 over Ukraine’s debt have Angela Merkel calling for collective action.

“Everyone must contribute.”

Including Slovakia, the Chancellor said after a meeting in Bratislava. Germany depends on Russian gas for 25 percent of its energy needs, and Slovakia gets more than 80 percent of its natural gas from Russia. Slovakia has been pumping reverse flows to Ukraine to make up for the Russian shortage, and may pump another 1-2 billion cubic meters this winter, according to Prodan.

Both Russian energy officials and Gazprom heads have warned against the illegality of reverse flows, as they violate Gazprom contracts, which don’t allow a country to re-export gas.

7. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is looking right back at Merkel for the money.

“We have several options, ranging from International Monetary Fund finance to international financial organizations that could support the deficit of Naftogaz.”

The next meeting is scheduled for October 29 and EU Energy Minister Gunther Oettinger expects an agreement to be inked.

Putin lashes out at US, West for destabilizing world

Published time: October 24, 2014
Vladimir Putin has lashed out at the United States for destabilizing the world order of checks and balances for its own gains. He also accused the West of inflaming the situation in Ukraine and said Russia was not interested in building an empire.

The Russian President delivered a fierce broadside aimed at the United States at a speech for the Valdai Club in Sochi, which is an informal group of scholars. He hit out at Washington for behaving without regard to the rest of the world’s interests

“The system of international relations needed some changes, but the USA, who believe they were the winners of the Cold War, have not seen the need for this.” He added that the US has been trying to create the world “for their own gains.” The Russian President added that because of this, regional and global security had been weakened.

Putin also touched on the issue of the growth of Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, while also accused the West of, “turning a blind eye,” to the encroachment of international terrorism into Russia and Central Asia. Putin believes the US has played a considerable role in sponsoring the growth of Islamic extremism, using the example of Washington’s funding of the Mujaheddin in the Afghan-Soviet war in the 1980’s, which eventually gave birth to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

“It never ceases to amaze me how our partners have been guilty of making the same mistakes time and again. They have in the past sponsored Islamic extremists who were battling against the Soviet Union, which took place in Afghanistan. It was because of this the Taliban and Al-Qaeda was created,” the president added.

Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) is the latest terrorist organization, which is destabilizing the world and Putin was scathing of countries that have been helping to fund the Islamist militants by buying cut price oil they are selling.

“Terrorists have been selling oil at really low prices and those countries who have been buying it and then selling it on, are financing terrorism, which will eventually come back to bite them,” the Russian President said.

Relations between Russia and the US have been plummeting for months, however Vladimir Putin accused the US of using the EU to further their own gains against Russia. He hit out at the numerous sanctions that had been imposed on Moscow, saying, “This was a mistake, which has a knock-on effect on everyone.”

“The USA, which has implemented sanctions against Russia, is cutting down the branches, upon which they are sitting,” President Putin added.

The reduction of nuclear arsenals was another issue, which was high on the agenda for the Russian President and once again, he was not afraid of having a dig at Washington for their reluctance to cut the number of nuclear missiles. He mentioned that unfortunately many countries see the only way to preserve their sovereignty is, “To make a nuclear bomb.”

The reduction in nuclear arsenals was initially proposed by the Obama administration and Putin admitted it had potential, before talks about decreasing weapons stockpiles collapsed.

“Russia has been all for the continuation of talks about the reduction of nuclear arsenals,” and according to President Putin, “Moscow is ready for serious talks, but without “double standards.”

Perhaps Putin’s harshest criticism was reserved for the West’s creation of color revolutions and “controlled chaos,” which he a likened to “letting the genie out of the bottle,” with particular reference to Ukraine.

“We have been trying to discuss with the Ukraine issue with the EU for a long time, but we were told this was none of other business. They then put two countries against each other, which has led to countless destruction of infrastructure. When I asked why did they do this, they just shrug their shoulders and don’t have an answer,” Putin added.

The Russian President said that there is no truth whatsoever in claims from the West that Russia is interested in Empire building and that Moscow is looking to destabilize the world order. With relations between Russia and the West at a very low ebb, Putin also hinted Russia will look to develop allies further afield.

“Russia has made it’s choice – we want to develop our economy and develop democratic values. We work with our counterparts in the Shanghai Cooperation, the BRICS union for example. We want our opinions to be respected likewise. We all need to be cautious to not make hasty and dangerous steps. Some of the players on the global front have forgotten about the need for this,” he said in another barb directed at Washington.

Migrant workers in UAE abused, exploited under ‘kafala’ system – HRW

Published time: October 23, 2014

Domestic workers across the UAE have been subjected to horrendous physical, verbal and sexual abuse or passport confiscation in the abuse of the kafala, or sponsorship, system according to a new report by Humans Right Watch.

HRW estimates that some 146,000 domestic female workers have arrived to the UAE from countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, India or Bangladesh. They come on promises of good working conditions, higher wages, and a chance to escape the poverty of their home countries.

However, the NGO heard complaints that workers are forced to labor excessive hours, or are even being subjected to physical violence or sexual abuse – while they cannot leave as employers confiscate their passports.

The HRW covertly interviewed 99 people in the UAE, in the end drawing up a 79-page report titled ‘I already bought you’.

“I would wake up to start cooking, then cleaning, washing clothes, and then cooking again. No rest, there was just no rest… Because she kept yelling, I cried and asked to go back to agency, but madam said ‘I already bought you…’” a 23-year-old Indonesian domestic worker in Dubai told the NGO.

“My boss started hitting me after two weeks of being there,” another worker revealed to HRW. “She hit me with her fist to my chest. She scraped her fingernails to my neck, and slapped my face. I was bruised on my neck. She sometimes pulled out tufts of my hair.”

In total, “more than two dozen” domestic workers told the human rights group that employers had either physically or sexually abused them. One reported a broken arm as a result of her employer violently twisting it and another said she was raped.

“A large majority of the domestic workers Human Rights Watch interviewed alleged their employers had verbally abused them by shouting at them and calling them names such as ‘donkey’ or ‘animal’,” the report noted.

The problems arise through the UAE’s visa sponsorship system, known as ‘kafala’ which creates a tie between migrant workers and their visa sponsor and which also means that migrant workers cannot switch employers.

“The UAE’s sponsorship system chains domestic workers to their employers and then leaves them isolated and at risk of abuse behind the closed doors of private homes,” said Rothna Begum, Middle East women’s rights researcher at HRW.

“With no labor law protections for domestic workers, employers can, and many do, overwork, underpay and abuse these women.”

While the UAE has attempted to conduct some reforms to the sponsorship system, they still have very few rights.

HRW noted that it had sent its research findings to appropriate UAE government bodies. However, none had provided a response to the NGO by the time of the report’s writing.

HRW has demanded that kafala be amended, stating that the entire system should be overhauled so that the domestic workers can switch employers without losing immigration status.

“It should pass the draft law on domestic workers, in line with the ILO Domestic Workers convention, raise public awareness about standards under the new domestic worker contract, and expand shelter and other aid and remedies for abused domestic workers,” HRW recommended.

The kafala system is also used in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and other Gulf Arab states including Qatar, which is set to be the first Arab host of the World Cup tournament in 2022.

Qatar has approved new measures to improve conditions foreign laborers, including giving them a siesta. The move follows international criticism over ‘World Cup slaves’ and Qatar is considering replacing their kafala system with a “system based on employment contracts” according to announcements made back in May.

Qatar has been facing increased international criticism over foreign workers’ rights since last September, when a Guardian investigation revealed that at least 44 Nepalese construction workers died in Qatar Between June 4 and August 8 in 2013. The newspaper exposed horrifying conditions, with the workers not being given enough food and water.

Rome: World Meeting of Popular Movements

Popular Movements´ Press Release Statement

October 27, 28 and 29th

Various movements representatives of the most postponed and excluded, along with the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, with the explicit support of Pope Francis, impulse the World Meeting of Popular Movements to be held from October 27 to 29th, 2014 in Rome.

We are very glad of this unique opportunity to let their voice be heard, to have the opportunity to give visibility to the excluded, in the Vatican itself. We are deeply grateful to Pope Francis for this possibility, a new sample of his permanent support and proximity not only to the injustice we, the excluded, suffer but also to those that organize ourselves and fight it back.

The Meeting is primarily aimed at organizations and movements of the excluded. We expect the participation of 100 delegates from different backgrounds, those backgrounds bring together: a) the precarious workers, temporary workers, migrants, and those involved in the popular sector, informal and/ or self-employed, without any legal protection, workers rights or recognized union; b) landless peasants and indigenous people or those at risk of being expelled from the countryside because of agricultural speculation and violence; c) people living in slums and informal settlements, the marginalized, the homeless, the forgotten without adequate urban infrastructure. Unions, social and human rights organizations will participate as well, due to their joint efforts accompanying the processes of organization and struggle of the above sectors.

Many bishops and other church workers from several countries are also invited, in order to stimulate dialogue and collaboration with the Church. The meeting will be conducted in Spanish, French, English, Italian and Portuguese. The meeting will conclude with an international body promoting coordination between popular movements with the support and collaboration of the Church.

The work is divided in three days:

a)     The objective of the first day is to know today´s reality, struggles and thoughts of popular movements. It will be held at the Salesianum.

b)    The objective of the second day is to appreciate Pope Francis´ teaching on how to move forward and together towards an authentic human development. Will be based at the Old Synod Hall.

c)     The third and final day will be devoted to taking concrete commitments to coordinate the excluded organizations and their collaboration with the Church. It will be hosted at the Salesianum.

The main objectives are:

·      To share Pope Francis social thought, especially items that he bring in his Apostolic Exhortation “The Joy of the Gospel” and discuss it from the perspective of popular movements.

·      To develop a synthesis of the vision of popular movements around the causes of the growing social inequality and exclusion, increasing deeply worldwide, mainly the exclusion of land, labor and housing.

·      To reflect collectively on the organizational experiences of popular movements as forms of solution for the above injustices dialoguing through our practices, forms of interaction with institutions and future prospects.

·      To propose popular alternatives to address problems -war, displacement, hunger, poverty, unemployment, insecurity, exclusion- generated by the financial capitalism, military arrogance and the immense power of transnational companies from the point of view of the poor, with the prospect of building a peaceful society, free and fair.

·      To discuss the relationship of Popular Movements with the Church, and how to move forward in creating an instance of articulation and ongoing collaboration.

Seven Years Later, Blackwater Guards Found Guilty of Massacre in Iraq

Critics say verdict is ‘step towards accountability’ but does not hold top-ranking Blackwater executives and U.S. government leaders responsible for war crimes

More than seven years after guards with the private mercenary company Blackwater opened fire on Iraqi civilians in downtown Baghdad, killing 17 people and wounding 20, a federal jury on Wednesday found four of the men involved with the massacre guilty in the case.

Former guard Nicholas Slatten was handed a guilty verdict for first-degree murder, theAssociated Press reports. The other men—Paul Slough, Evan Liberty and Dustin Heard—were all found guilty of voluntary manslaughter.

The men were employed by the U.S. State Department at the time of the massacre at Baghdad’s Nisour Square on September 16, 2007, whose victims included 9-year-old Ali Kinani—killed by a gun shot to the head. The killings, reported as the largest known massacre of Iraqi civilians by U.S. private contractors, became a flashpoint of outrage over the atrocities U.S. forces—particularly private contractors—inflict on occupied civilian populations in Iraq.

The guilty verdicts follow years of legal battles, in which plaintiffs were left unsure of whether the defendants would ever face trial. Seventy-two witnesses were summoned for the trial, including Iraqis victimized by the attack. Though seventeen people were killed, the guilty verdict was based on charges related to only fourteen of those whose lives were lost.

During his closing argument against the Blackwater guards, federal prosecutor Anthony Asuncion said: “These men took something that did not belong to them: the lives of 14 human beings. They were turned into bloody bullet-riddled corpses at the hands of these men.”

Advocates for the victims welcomed the ruling.

“While today’s verdict cannot bring back the innocent Iraqis killed at Nisoor Square, it is a step towards full accountability for Blackwater’s actions,” said Baher Azmy, Legal Director for the Center for Constitutional Rights, which represented Iraqi victims of the killings in a human rights suit against Blackwater that settled in January 2010.

“However,” Azmy added, “holding individuals responsible is not enough. If corporations like Blackwater, now known as Academi, are granted the rights accorded to ‘people’ they must also bear the responsibilities.”

Dan Roberts, who has covered the trial closely for the Guardian newspaper, reports from Washington that all the men now “face the likelihood of lengthy prison sentences after unanimous verdicts on separate weapons charges related to the incident.”

And Jeremy Scahill, who has written extensively about both Blackwater and the Nisour Square massacre, responded to the verdict at The Intercept by writing, “Just as with the systematic torture at Abu Ghraib, it is only the low level foot-soldiers of Blackwater that are being held accountable.” Scahill points out that Blackwater founder and former-CEO Erik Prince and other high-ranking Blackwater executives remain free and that no U.S. officials from the Bush administration were ever held  responsible for “creating the conditions for the Nisour Square shootings.”

According to Azmy, “Private military contractors played a major role in the pressure to go to war in Iraq and have engaged in a variety of war crimes and atrocities during the invasion and occupation, while reaping billions of dollars in profits from the war.  To this day, the U.S. government continues to award Blackwater and its successor entities millions of dollars each year in contracts, essentially rewarding war crimes.”

As noted by the Guardian‘s Roberts, the 14 victims killed by the Blackwater guards on trial were listed as Ahmed Haithem Ahmed Al Rubia’y, Mahassin Mohssen Kadhum Al-Khazali, Osama Fadhil Abbas, Ali Mohammed Hafedh Abdul Razzaq, Mohamed Abbas Mahmoud, Qasim Mohamed Abbas Mahmoud, Sa’adi Ali Abbas Alkarkh, Mushtaq Karim Abd Al-Razzaq, Ghaniyah Hassan Ali, Ibrahim Abid Ayash, Hamoud Sa’eed Abttan, Uday Ismail Ibrahiem, Mahdi Sahib Nasir and Ali Khalil Abdul Hussein.

‘Mumia Bill’ signed in Pennsylvania lets prisoners be sued over speech

Published time: October 22, 2014

Prisoners serving time in the state of Pennsylvania can now be sued for speaking up from behind bars after Governor Tom Corbett signed into law this week the Revictimization Relief Act that legislatures rushed to approve only days earlier.

The bill, signed on Tuesday by Corbett, a Republican, allows victims of “a personal injury crime” to sue the perpetrator if that offender “perpetuates the continuing effect of the crime on the victim.”

State Rep. Mike Vereb, a Republican and a co-author of the act, announced earlier this month that he’d be rallying lawmakers to support the bill after former death row inmate Mumia Abu-Jamal was allowed to record a commencement speech that was played for graduates of Goddard College during an October 5 ceremony.

Abu-Jamal, 60, is currently serving a life sentence at a prison facility in Frackville, PA for the 1981 murder of a Philadelphia cop, Officer Daniel Fulkner, but he has maintained his innocence throughout his incarceration, including three decades spent awaiting execution before prosecutors agreed in 2011 to drop the death penalty. Prior to the start of his prison sentence, Abu-Jamal was considered a renowned activist and journalist, and has since published several books and thousands of essays from behind bars.

“The nation is in deep trouble, largely because old thinking, both domestically and globally, has led us into the morass that the nation now faces, which may be encapsulated by references to place-names that ring in our minds: Gaza; Ferguson; and Iraq—again!” a group of 21 graduating students from Goddard, Abu-Jamal’s alma matter, were told in the tape-recorded commencement speech“These are some of the challenges that abide in the world, which it will be your destiny to try and analyze and resolve. As students of Goddard, you know that those challenges are not easy, but they must be faced and addressed.”

Vereb sent a letter to his colleagues in the Pennsylvania House three days before that address was given, writing in it that he was “utterly outraged that such a reprehensible person would be able to revictimize Officer Daniel Faulkner’s family with this kind of self-promoting behavior.”

The Pennsylvania legislature unanimously approved Vereb’s bill days after the address was given, and Gov. Corbett signed the act on Tuesday, 11 days after the Goddard speech, from a makeshift stage erected in Philadelphia only a few feet from the location where Faulkner was gunned down during a traffic stop 33 years ago. Nevertheless, the Washington Post reported that Corbett said in a statement that the law “is not about any one single criminal,” but rather “was inspired by the excesses and pious hypocrisy of one particular killer.”

“Maureen Faulkner, Danny’s wife, has been taunted by the obscene celebrity that her husband’s killer has orchestrated from behind bars,” Corbett said at the signing, according to a CBS News affiliate.

“This unrepentant cop killer has tested the limits of decency,” the Washington Times quoted Corbett as saying as protesters jeered nearby. “Gullible activists and celebrities have continued to feed this killer’s ego.”

Free speech advocates see no issue with Abu-Jamal’s communique from confinement, though, and say that the law signed this week is a serious blow to First Amendment protections.

“This bill is written so broadly that it is unclear what is prohibited,” Reggie Shuford, the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Pennsylvania office, said in a statement offered to Reuters. “That can’t pass constitutional muster under the First Amendment.”

Samantha Kolber, a spokesperson for Goddard, told the Patriot-News that the school was “surprised” by Corbett’s signing and said Vereb’s bill “is suggesting that people are not capable of making choices about what speech they will listen to and how they will react to that speech.”

Speaking to the Philadelphia Inquirer, protester Johanna Fernandez said during Corbett’s public signing this week that the governor’s decision to speedily make Vereb’s bill a law was a “Hail Mary pass” from his administration only a month before Election Day since polls suggest that Corbett may lose the governor’s seat. “The establishment of Philadelphia is using Mumia’s case to silence all prisoners in the state,” Fernandez said. “What they’re doing is, they’re essentially inflecting collective punishment on all prisoners in order to silence Mumia.”

On Monday, Abu-Jamal himself weighed in on the debate and the politics surrounding Corbett’s decision to speedily sign the bill during an interview with Noelle Hanrahan of Prison Radio Project.

This is a political stunt by a failing politician who is seeking support by using fear,” Abu-Jamal said this week. “Politicians do it all the time. But this is unconstitutional: Tom’s latest attempt to stroke and build up his political campaign, his failing political campaign.”

According to the activist-turned-inmate, he gave his address to Goddard after students there wrote and requested he speak. Marc Lamont Hill, a professor at Morehouse College, tweeted Wednesday that “Even if you don’t support Mumia, you should be outraged at this attack on First Amendment Rights.”

South Sudan women suggest sex strike to stop civil war

Published time: October 24, 2014

South Sudanese women peace activists have come up with a solution to stop the ongoing bloody civil war: men should be denied sex until they cease fighting, they say.

The unconventional peacemaking method was suggested after 90 women – a few of them members of the country’s parliament – met in the South Sudanese capital, Juba, to discuss the ideas how “to advance the cause of peace, healing and reconciliation,” AFP reports.

The main proposal was to “mobilize all women in South Sudan to deny their husbands conjugal rights until they ensure that peace returns,” the organizers stated.

Among other suggestions were attracting the wives of President Salva Kiir and his arch-rival, rebel chief Riek Machar, to the peace movement, and asking them “to join the search for peace and reconciliation by impressing upon their husbands to stop the war.”

These ideas emphasized that people are desperate for the violence to end, Tobias Atari Okori, from the government-backed South Sudan Peace and Reconciliation Commission, said.

“People are experiencing great suffering, and it is the women, children and the aged who are suffering the worst,” he told AFP.

Thousands have been killed and almost 2 million forced to flee their homes due to the fighting between government forces, rebel soldiers and tribal militia. Other 100,000 people have sought refuge in UN shelters.

Among the most violent actions in the bloody civil war, were killing of patients in hospitals, and murdering those taking shelter in churches.

Nevertheless this is by no means the first case of a sex strike in peace activism: in 2003, Liberian women used the same tactic to put a stop to its 14-year civil war. The leader of the movement, Leymah Gbowee, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011.

It Will Be a False Flag Attack — Count on It

By Richard Sauder

I have written before about the very real threat of nuclear false flag attacks, notably, but not only, on 23 August of this year. Please see:

Retromingent Insanity of Dick “Lord of Darkness” Cheney

I would rather not write about these sorts of things, except that the topic keeps surfacing, by overt implication, in the mainstream news media, and I feel that it calls for a response.

Additionally, the shamanic plants here in the Ecuadorian Amazon called to my attention a couple of years ago the existence of a shadowy plot by extremely insidious and nefarious elements to detonate nuclear devices in multiple cities, as triggering events for “totalitarian nuclear warfare.”

It is real ugly stuff, and I wish we could all dismiss that very dark alert.

But stories like this one keep surfacing:

Emergency Agencies Practice Response To Nuclear Explosion In Times Square

Click the link. Read the article. The emergency response agencies in New York City are practicing for a 10-kiloton nuclear detonation in mid-town Manhattan, that will blow down skyscrapers in a half-mile radius, kill 100,000 people outright, cause damage up to 2 miles away, and cover the metro area with radioactivity.

Subway service will go down. Cell phone service will be disrupted.

In other words, there would be total chaos, death, destruction and mayhem in New York City.

This scenario fits very well the nefarious plot about which the shamanic plants communicated to me in 2012, that multiple cities would be targeted and that devices somewhat smaller in destructive power than the atomic bombs that the USSA military dropped on Japan in the closing days of World War II would be used.

Mind you, this plan does not have to happen. Nothing is for certain unless and until it actually happens. Nevertheless, there is a steady drumbeat of these articles in recent months and years, with the theme of getting ready for nuclear attack against targets on the USSA mainland. It’s as if the public were being primed in advance for the real thing.

If and when it should happen, I am suggesting to you to be immediately suspicious about the event(s). It is all being staged and set up; reality is being rigged and artificially manipulated to create a hellish scenario that is fake and contrived, lamentably with nuclear special effects.

Why New York City?

But why New York City? Why Manhattan again?

Simple. It is perhaps the major financial hub for the rapidly failing, global financial empire based on the USSA dollar. In those towering, corporate skyscrapers in Manhattan are voluminous, detailed, financial records and massive rooms full of supercomputers that have kept the fraudulent, global, con game based on the USSA dollar going for all these many years.

Now that their vast “shystem” is spectacularly failing, the dArk uNderlords of humanity may be preparing to blow the whole place, to destroy the massive evidence of their manifold misdeeds.

So if they level all those corporate towers in Manhattan with a nuclear blast, they can blame the ensuing chaos, mayhem and global financial crash on “nuclear terrorism” instead of their own, hugely criminal mismanagement of the global economy.

Mind you, I am not saying that this absolutely will happen, or that it has to happen, and I personally hope that it does not.

All I am saying is that the plan unfortunately appears to be in the wind, in a manner of speaking, in that the emergency services in New York City are overtly practicing for that precise scenario.

But It’s Not Just New York City

A similar drill was held last month, in Nebraska, in Scottsbluff, way out in the middle of nowhere. If you have lived in rural Nebraska or traveled through the area, you know that it can be desolate country, with a very low population density.

Scottsbluff, Nebraska has a population of 15,000 people, give or take, but beady-eyed terrorists must have their sweaty, nuclear trigger finger just itching to blow the checkerboard farms and fields of Scottsbluff, Nebraska to thermonuclear Kingdom Come. I mean look at it:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/30/2010-1101-19-ScottsbluffNE.jpg

Can you not see the overwhelming, global, geopolitical importance of Scottsbluff, Nebraska?

Uh, neither can I.

Nevertheless, just last month on 16-17 September there was an emergency preparedness drill which simulated a nuclear explosion near I-80 in the vicinity of Scottsbluff.

Read it and try to wrap your head around it. Has the world gone stone, cold bonkers?

Good God.

Could It Be Any Plainer?

From the farthest ends of Nebraska to the corporate skyscrapers of New York City, preparations are being made for — oh, shall we say, “coming attractions”?

It seems hard to believe, but we are very nearly at the end of the game.

In the parlance of the popular, board game, “Monopoly,” it’s the last few rolls of the dice.

Then it’s game over. Except that the people who have so long controlled this round of “Monopoly” are not graceful losers. They do not accept defeat or loss of control with dignity and humility.

No sir, no ma’am.

For that reason, my personal counsel is to prepare yourself for almost any eventuality. Barring benevolent and timely Divine Intervention, we could be in for a very rocky ride.

Could the “shystem’s” dArk uNderlords possibly telegraph their sinister intentions any more clearly?

Code Black Alert: Slave Patrols Alive and Well Across America, Part 1 – Killing Vonderrit Myers

October 16, 2014

“This latest yet unidentified St. Louis police executioner claimed that he followed Myers and his friends because he felt that the teens were acting suspiciously.”

Ten minutes earlier he had taken the turkey sandwich Berhe Beyet made him and cradled it away from his friend’s playful snatching. Then stood breaking off a piece that he shared with another friend. By now, his mother has seen this tape of him standing in silhouette, and watched his peaceful chewing. On his way out the door he gives yet another friend a bite of what he did not know was his last supper, walking off into a night every parent in America cannot begin to imagine. A night every black person in America knows is coming and that the next one coming could be them—might as well be them—every time they imagine the high caliber bullet shattering his cheek bone, eye socket, aorta the medical examiner identified as the cause of death.

The ten minute clock begins running out of time as he steps outside the door and the security camera changes from color to black and white, where the silent footage is of body language, is of laughter and play and ease, making this confluence of uncertainty with the inevitable more cruel still.

Uncertainty, because we will never know what happened in the ten minutes after Vonderrit Myers Jr., 18, carried his turkey sandwich out of frame and into the last ten minutes of his life. Two wildly divergent narratives have emerged: One, told in very carefully crafted language with particulars to this incident sprinkled with assertions of the officer’s feeling afraid for his life and his almost reckless waiting for the suspect to fire three rounds his way before dispatching what turned out to be a seasoned and precise lethal response. Myers has been portrayed as a troubled, repeat offender from the wrong side of the tracks. The other narrative, from eye witnesses, most of them black, some of them having themselves been previously fingerprinted, pointing their fingers at a rogue cop out to “put down” a young “suspicious”-looking black male, their voices minimized and cheapened by the state-sponsored press coming out of St. Louis.

“The Ruger 9mm Myers is said to have fired at the stalking vigilante-cum-police-officer that turns into a Smith and Wesson .038 in the police department’s next revision.”

There will be solemn intonations on the responsibility to withhold comment on the ongoing investigation beyond proclaiming that Myers was no stranger to the criminal justice system. After all this time we might even be tempted to believe these depictions but for the constantly changing details in the official police story: the hoody Vonderril was said to be wearing when he was attacked by the off duty police officer—said to have been pulled off during a scuffle with his assassin—that he isn’t wearing ten minutes earlier when last seen in the security video; the bushes Voderrel is said to have jumped out of but are missing from the crime scene photos; the Ruger 9mm he is said to have fired at the stalking vigilante-cum-police-officer that turns into a Smith and Wesson .038 in the police department’s next revision.

Or the overt omission of disclosure about the St. Louis police union rep, Jeff Roorda, who was quoted as saying, “I’ve known dozens and dozens of officers who have been in a situation to take a life, and they never take it lightly,” while the story fails to mention that Roorda himself was fired for repeated incidents ofmisconduct including falsifying records while he was a cop. Does Roorda only take fraud lightly? No. Roorda, now a democratic state senator in Missouri, “was the primary author and sponsor of legislation this year in Missouri, which aimed to completely conceal the identity of police officers being charged in shootings,” according to the DailyKos:

“All of that is to say that the state of Missouri, from the top to the bottom, has absolutely no problem concealing (or even outright concocting) the truth in a case when the career of a police officer is at risk.”

Just 12 miles from the scene of Michael Brown’s murder, one final insult to the dignity of Ferguson residents is that Jeff Roorda is behind the Shield of Hope charity that has raised $500,000 in funds for Darren Wilson, the officer who killed Michael Brown and Missouri Governor, Jay Nixon has personally campaigned for Roorda since Brown’s slaying. Had Roorda gotten his way, no names of police involved in killing civilians would ever have been released, had the bill he authored and introduced not been defeated.

This latest yet unidentified St. Louis police executioner claimed that he followed Myers and his friends because he felt that the teens were acting suspiciously. This case mirrors the Trayvon Martin murder where the teen went to the store to purchase skittles and a soda and was confronted by self-appointed vigilante, George Zimmerman, who also thought Travyon was acting suspiciously. Zimmerman was found innocent of the murder of Travyon and his attorney Mark O’Mara was rewarded for his successful defense of white supremacy with a lucrative CNN contract as a legal consultant.

“Killing black men in America remains a closely held prerogative of white supremacy.”

Kajieme Powell, a 25 year-old mentally disabled man, was killed by St. Louis police days after the murder of Michael Brown. No charges were brought against the police officers who shot him multiple times. Michael Brown was profiled and executed as he walked in the street. A grand jury decision is expected in early November in which white men compose the majority of grand jury panelists. No one will be surprised if Officer Darren Wilson is never charged with Michael’s murder. And, no one will be surprised if the police officers who murdered Vonderrit Myers and Kajieme Powell are never charged with their murders. Killing black men in America remains a closely held prerogative of white supremacy.

…As flies to wanton boys are we to the gods,
They kill us for their sport.

—King Lear, William Shakespeare

Using the scientific modality of empiricism, the ability to predict outcomes based upon historic experiences, observations and reality, the murders of Brown, Powell, Myers, Martin, the hundreds and thousands before them we can extrapolate that if we do not act many more will surely die. It is utterly predictable. These deaths are not the result of hundreds of individual “bad apples” in police forces throughout the United States; these deaths are not accidents of nature, poor police training or officers fearful for their lives. Since Africans were brought to the US these deaths are part and parcel of the programming and desired outcome—the pacification, intimidation, population control and emotional scarring that is necessary to force African-Americans into becoming a pliant and subservient population that accepts minimum wages, apartheid-level education, job discrimination, premature deaths, exploitation of labor, emotional trauma, murder of our children by police, mass incarceration and sub-standard living conditions without resistance. The murders must be seen as a part of the desired outcome to disenfranchise African-Americans in order to have access to a cheap pool of labor and to discourage fighting for their humanity.

Yet every generation finds the courage and resilience to fight back. This is power of the resistance taking place in Ferguson. This is its legacy. We have arrived at this point in American history where we don’t need to be polite, or feign naivety about the intentional murder of black boys and men. The only question is: What is the end game for the African-American community?

As I wrote in my BAR essay: “Code Black Alert: the Execution of John Crawford,” from 1857 to 2014 the disposition of Black life has been circumscribed by the whims and capricious predilection of police, vigilantes and everyday white folks. A systemic and profound variable in the lives of African-Americans has been the pervasive and unrelenting storm of state-sponsored violence. Every 28 hours a black person dies at the hands of police, security guards or vigilantes. This represents an unbroken chain that links the 1857 Dred Scott decision to the present. Thus, one can hardly be surprised at the latest wave of violence directed against African-Americans.

“One can hardly be surprised at the latest wave of violence directed against African-Americans.”

If we are to emulate the human and sex traffickers that are elevated to the status of US founding fathers, what will it take for us to declare for ourselves:

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
—Declaration of Independence, 1776

It took the Founders 126 years to reach ‘enough is enough’.

Contrast this with the human and sex trafficking that was legal in the United States until so-called emancipation in 1865 – after which it has been repackaged through many iterations from Jim Crow to its current offering of a “felon” over a “slave” and preference for the word “thug” over “nigger” and the current historic period of mass incarceration.

Whatever else may be said of Africa-America, 395 years is—very—patient. Three times as patient as the Founding Fathers, to be exact. The Founding Fathers would have thrown off such government and provided new guards for their future security three times by now.

Understanding the history of policing in the US African community is important to developing an analysis and thus the ability to predict whether this system is salvageable or needs to be completely reimagined.

Part II of this series will trace modern policing among African-American to its 1703 ancestral roots in Deep South human trafficking and enslavement called “Slave Patrols.”

Code Black Alert: Boston:

Boston police officers disproportionately observed, interrogated, or searched black residents from 2007 to 2010, according to the preliminary results of a study commissioned by the department that were released Wednesday.

“This study shows evidence not just of racial disparity, but of racial bias,” said Matthew Segal, legal director of the ACLU of Massachusetts, which collaborated with the Boston Police Department on the genesis of the study, and on Wednesday released its own analysis of the data. “That is really alarming.”

Code Black Alert: New York:

Another day, another brutal police assault for the crime of standing on the street while Hispanic. Santiago Hernandez, 23, has accused a half-dozen NYPD cops of punching, beating and kicking him as they investigated a noise complaint – really?

The family of 17-year-old Marcel Hamer has released a cell-phone clip of a plainclothes New York City police officer hitting the teen while he lies in the gutter… Hamer’s family says he has suffered from memory loss, dizziness, and headaches ever since. See YouTube.

Code BlackAlert: Georgia:
