This is The Planetary Wake-up Call You Were Waiting For

Share

Our planet and its life support systems have been decimated from top to bottom, we are already beginning to pay the price for this and it will get worse fast from here. The single greatest change in direction we could make is to expose and stop climate engineering. Though the human race faces countless daunting challenges, stopping climate engineering would be a giant leap in the right direction. —DW

Why climate change deniers need to get real

In case you missed the biggest news story of the decade this week, we´re all doomed. A long-awaited paper on global warming and its effects was published last Monday by the UN´s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and it makes for very grim reading. The message in the latest report gave humanity its starkest warning yet: we are facing a very dark and terrifying future, and the time for fixing it may have already passed.

Key findings

The report warns that melting sea ice and permafrost threaten to sink entire cities, ocean acidification is killing our precious coral reefs, and extreme weather patterns and mega disasters such as heat waves, droughts, floods, typhoons and wildfires will continue to worsen. When you throw into the mix dangerously high air pollution, the effects of fracking (sinkholes, earthquakes,  groundwater contamination and even birth defects), and the ongoing mass extinction of wildlife due to human stupidity, we can conclude that things are not looking good for our grandchildren.

“Nobody on this planet is going to be untouched by the impacts of climate change,” were the dark words of Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the IPCC.

Food shortages, riots and rising grocery bills

The report, released every six years since the panel was set up in 1988, was a joint effort by more than 300 scientists. By far the most alarming edition to date, it took three years to compile and runs to 2,600 pages and 32 volumes. It tells us that even if we´re lucky enough to escape death from natural disasters, the future of agriculture is so bleak that millions of people face starvation and displacement. Global wheat and corn stocks are in great danger, and even staple groceries like rice and soy could become expensive luxury items.

Other food sources are also under threat. Fish catches in some areas of the tropics are projected to fall by between 40% and 60%, affecting millions of people for whom seafood is a source of livelihood and survival- and this scarcity of food could also cause widespread political instability and rioting, as well as other related social problems.

In conclusion, the experts say that man-made climate change is no longer up for debate. As Richard Schiffman wrote in the Guardian : “There are few climate-change skeptics amongst those who grow the world’s food. Farmers don’t have to read UN reports to know how radically their weather is changing. And consumers don’t need academic studies or bullet points to know that food prices are steadily rising.”

The case for skepticism

This is true, but of course not everyone agrees with the IPCC´s findings. Skeptics point out that we have not been measuring and recording climate patterns for long enough to know for certain if humans are responsible for the earth changes we are currently experiencing. Others might argue (and rightly so) that we can´t trust the UN, or point to evidence of weather control technology such as HAARP to explain climate change and even natural disasters. These are all valid points, but they ignore one simple, undeniable fact: humanity is raping and murdering this small blue planet at a rate which is unsustainable and psychopathic; to assume there is no price to pay for this ecocidal behavior is ignorant and foolish to say the least.

Consider this: the earth is 4.6 billion years old. Let´s scale that down to 46 years. Using this analogy, humans have been here on this planet just 4 hours. Our industrial revolution began just one minute ago. And in that meager 60 seconds, we have already destroyed more than 50% of the world´s forests. This is akin to ripping out one lung from a living organism and expecting it to be in the same good health it was beforehand.

Just days after the publication of the IPCC paper, Yellowstone Park suffered a 4.8 magnitude earthquake– something which should strike fear into all of us- and Chile was next, with a powerful 8.2 magnitude quake causing landslides and a tsunami.

Also this year, the US was hit by a polar vortex in the east and wildfires in the west, as was Australia, while poor countries like the Philippines (whose low-lying Capital Manila is in a high-risk tropical region) have declared they “expect catastrophe” and called on the global community to help them.

Volcanoes have erupted this year in Hawaii and Indonesia, and England was hit by the worst flooding on record, (followed by an unprecedented ´toxic´smog which is currently causing great concern). These examples are just a few, but they illustrate how climate change is being experienced by all of us around the world.

Energy lobbyists, puppet politicians and corporate media poodles

We can see the devastation, so why do so many of us refuse to wake up to the reality of climate change? Because people are paid good money to lull us back to sleep, that´s why. Here is an enlightening quote taken from a comment thread in the Guardian :“I study energy policy and I’ve more or less given up. The lobby groups working against mitigation are too strong and widespread: the oil and gas industry, the green lobby (who oppose nuclear power), nimbys (who oppose many local renewable projects), politicians who pander to the electorate by telling them we can have low carbon and lower prices, etc”.

A recent Newsweek investigation backed up this point, claiming that scientists were offered financial rewards ($10,000 apparently) from oil company lobbyists in return for smearing the IPCC report and undermining its findings. The magazine highlighted the consequences of this: ´Just last year, polls found that 64 percent of Americans thought there was “a lot” of scientific disagreement on climate change; only one third thought planetary warming was “mainly caused by things people do”.´

These figures are shocking because the reality is, an extremely small number of scientists deny human-caused climate change. Meanwhile, another BP oil spill on Lake Michigan is being conveniently censored from our screens, the European Union has ordered Britain to end renewable energy subsidies, and the Spanish government have decided to tax people who use solar panels. But it´s not just dirty energy lobbyists and politicians who are causing, then denying, such blatant ecocide. A fantastic article by Media Lens highlights the role of the British press´s role in smearing the case for man-made climate change- and in the USA, anti-truth propaganda is even more prevalent.

It may be too late to ensure our grandchildren grow up on a planet with fresh air to breathe and clean water to drink. But we have to keep on hoping: Bolivia´s ground-breaking decision to give legal rights to the Earth is something we must demand in our own countries. It´s time to wake up. It´s time to fight for Gaia.

  1. Revealed: ALEC’s 2014 Attacks on the Environment | The Progressive

Just spend those big consumer dollars on more tax subsidized airline tickets. Those (tax subsidized) jumbo jets get great fuel mileage!!! Let’s spend more big dollars for big empty trophy homes. Let’s spend more big consumer dollars for big SUV’s to aim toward big mega-junk WallMarts. How about more big dollars for more big sports arenas. Big people can watch big-screen televisions, wherein jumbo-sized “athletes” compete big-time; for largely vacuous social imperatives. More big salary increases for jumbo-sized cheerleader types. The big environmental picture will improve if we invest enough big money in jumbo sized business!!! More big jumbo-sized everything!!!

Time indeed to wake up. The momentum however seems to be with the powers that be. The ecocidal madness goes on. Why cannot people just use their intelligence, look up and draw their conclusions. Or are the stories being told that we are not only ‘kept dumb’ but are even fed poison that impairs clear thought not just wild crazy conspiracy theory ideas?

Interesting. Very. Thanks for your comment.

  4. beau says:

Good points MMD – none of the IPCC’s climate predictions have been anywhere near close. The ‘modelling’ is so suspect, but they like predictions because it scares people.

4 degrees? Al Gore told us the Arctic would be gone by now!!!

The last IPCC Policymakers report was presented but they haven’t even written the scientific version yet! That’s not due out until September and they write and slant the science to the policy document. It’s an absolute joke!

And the major things the IPCC climate scientists does not take into account in it’s modelling is Solar activity and the accurate effects of the ocean.

But no major media ever reports the actualite or critiques it? Why? Well probably because they’re all on the same nwo agenda and you certainly won’t get the truth out of the 6 major networks in the US. People need to start getting their news from more independent news sources and looking at a broad range of opinion, not just what we’re being spoon fed.

The is much too much doom mongering going on!

  5. beau says:

    Exactly right Karen…

  6. MMD says:

There is certainly good cause to be very alarmed about this article however Sophie McAdam misses a few crucial points: The IPCC is a collection of economists and lawyers whose affiliations are extremely suspect. The IPCC is affiliated with the UN which has brought Agenda 21 to all of us and is even more suspect. And interestingly the IPCC supports and endorses weather modification technologies, ie atmospehric climate forcing through geoengineering! Yes the climate is in fxxxxxg shreds but do you really think it’s caused by car exhaust and cow farts? This is the very “governmental panel” that is creating the AGW terror that is actually supporting the use of technologies that not only will kill us all but INCREASE global temperatures. It has little to do with CO2, if it did it would be raining more, not less. Look into the IPCC before you get too riled up by their predictions and reasons for them. Yes the predictions are terrifying but not for the reasons they claim. They suggest on one hand that geoengineering to combat AGW should be used as if it isn’t yet, then they say geoengineering shouldn’t be stopped becasue of the backlash it will cause. It’s problem, reaction and solution all wrapped up in one big moneymaking scheme, and they’ll prove it by geoengineering the climate with aerosols, HAARP, lasers etc and say it was the cows farting in the fields. Sadly most of the humans will believe it.
    Cheers…
    M

Sounds to me like you’ve swallowed the IPCC/NWO/Al Gore AGW lie.

Head of the IPCC, Rajinda Pachauri, is a railway engineer and a part time pornographic novel writer who has made millions in India on the back of insider tarding investments in Indian renewable energy busness and coal power electricity generating plants. Do you trust someone like that to tell you to pay carbon taxes and ditch you car for a bicycle? Or do you think for yourself and see him for the fraud he is? Mmmm… let me think…

It’s also unacceptable that the UN/IPCC continue to push CO2 as the cause for climate change but refuse to acknowledge the military has been actively engaged in Climate Warming Weapons Technologies for more than 20 years.
Human-caused global warming is a farce. It is a lie, funded by elites who believe the next phase of governance is world governance, it the transition from nation states to world government should not occur by war or by natural chance, but should be managed under their control. You have to have overwhelming global sized problems that frighten everyone on the globe, like terrorism and global climate disaster, which can only be solved by global cooperation, in order to facilitate a voluntary acquiescence to their rule.

After the recent nonsense of the IPCC report for policymakers (completely non-scientific) read this:

A top US academic has dramatically revealed how government officials forced him to change a hugely influential scientific report on climate change to suit their own interests.
Harvard professor Robert Stavins electrified the worldwide debate on climate change on Friday by sensationally publishing a letter online in which he spelled out the astonishing interference.
He said the officials, representing ‘all the main countries and regions of the world’ insisted on the changes in a late-night meeting at a Berlin conference centre two weeks ago.
Three quarters of the original version of the document ended up being deleted.
Prof Stavins claimed the intervention amounted to a serious ‘conflict of interest’ between scientists and governments. His revelation is significant because it is rare for climate change experts to publicly question the process behind the compilation of reports on the subject. —

Prof Stavins told The Mail on Sunday yesterday that he had been especially concerned by what happened at a special ‘contact group’. He was one of only two scientists present, surrounded by ‘45 or 50’ government officials.
He said almost all of them made clear that ‘any text that was considered inconsistent with their interests and positions in multilateral negotiations was treated as unacceptable.’
Many of the officials were themselves climate negotiators, facing the task of devising a new treaty to replace the Kyoto Protocol in negotiations set to conclude next year.
Prof Stavins said: ‘This created an irreconcilable conflict of interest. It has got to the point where it would be reasonable to call the document a summary by policymakers, not a summary for them, and it certainly affects the credibility of the IPCC. The process ought to be reformed.’

How can you trust anything that come out of the IPCC?

Please Dane don’t fall their lies.

Yes there is an undeniable argument for cutting down on fossil fuels and promoting sustainable living – but don’t confuse the two…

  8. Barbie says:

Anna- I believe divine intervention will be very soon! Being enlightened is at times fear inspiring, but it can also bring comfort to know our future rests in the hands of our Creator ( Psalms 83:18, Revelation 11:18, Psalms 37: 29, 34-38) We are on the threshold….Matthew 24:22. Pray sincerely for guidance and enlightenment as to Gods purposes for the restoration of humanity and our earth and your fears will subside and give way to hope

  9. Karen says:

“BLAME THE VICTIMS”…once again, this is the mantra of TPTB, who have caused this crisis—free solar energy and free energy is abundantly available—but those “in charge” refuse to let the people have it—because then TPTB would not profit if they did that…so, they develop weather modification/control/war systems which are destroying the planet—then they blame the victims—the “regular guy”—who is just trying to survive, by saying it’s YOUR FAULT becuase you have too much emissions…they did the same thing with the financial crisis of 2008—they (the government and mortgage industry and Wall Street) set up a blatant PONZI with the FAKE “mortgages”—then blamed the victims when the market crashed…here we go again…a lot of people are going to die because of the greed of TPTB—once again.

  10. anna rigano says:

I am really scared and feel rather hopeless… I wish for a divine intervention!!
