Why are massive numbers of sea creatures dying along the west coast right now?

Never before have we seen so much death along the west coast of North America.  Massive numbers of sea stars, bluefin tuna, sardines, anchovies, herring, oysters, salmon, marine mammals and marine birds are dying, and experts are puzzled.  We are being told that we could even see “local extinctions” of some of these sea creatures.  So are all of these deaths related?  If so, what in the world could be causing this to happen?  What has changed so dramatically that it would cause massive numbers of sea creatures to die along the west coast?

The following are 15 examples of this phenomenon.  Most scientists do not believe that these incidents are related.  But when you put them all together, it paints quite a disturbing picture

#1 A “mystery plague” is turning sea stars all along the west coast of the United States and Canada into piles of goo…

Sea stars, commonly referred to as starfish, have been dying off in alarming numbers along the entire West Coast, from Baja, Mexico, to Alaska. According to reports from the Seattle Aquarium, some parts of Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands have seen population declines of up to 80 percent.

On the Oregon coast, according to CoastWatch Volunteer Coordinator Fawn Custer, “Last December, we had less than 1 percent of sea star wasting. By May 1, more than 5 percent of sea stars were affected. Now, I would say, in some areas, it is up to 90 percent.”

A marine epidemiologist at Cornell University says that this is “the largest mortality event for marine diseases we’ve seen“.

#2 The population of bluefin tuna in the Pacific Ocean has declined by 95 percent.  Mexico has already banned fishing for bluefin tuna for the rest of the year, and the U.S. government is considering doing the same thing.

#3 Sardine, anchovy and herring populations have dropped dramatically along the west coast in recent years…

Pacific sardine populations have shown an alarming decline in recent years, and some evidence suggests anchovy and herring populations may be dropping as well.

The declines could push fishermen toward other currently unmanaged “forage fish,” such as saury, smelt and sand lance, stealing a critical food source relied on by salmon and other economically important predators.

In response, the Pacific Fishery Management Council is considering an ecosystem-based management approach that recognizes the fundamental role of forage fish in the Pacific marine food web. Tiny, but abundant, these small schooling fish feed on plankton and, in turn, fill the bellies of Oregon’s iconic marine species, including salmon, sharks, whales, sea lions and sea birds.

#4Record numbers of distressed sea lions have washed ashore in California” for the second year in a row.  One news report described these distressed sea lions as “malnourished and dehydrated, too weak to find food on their own“.

#5 Marine birds are “disappearing” in the Pacific northwest…

From white-winged scoters and surf scoters to long-tailed ducks, murres, loons and some seagulls, the number of everyday marine birds here has plummeted dramatically in recent decades.

Scoters are down more than 75 percent from what they were in the late 1970s. Murres have dropped even more. Western grebes have mostly vanished, falling from several hundred thousand birds to about 20,000.

#6 Those that work in the seafood industry on the west coast are noticing some very “unusual” mutations.  For example, a red king crab that was recently caught in Alaska was colored bright blue.

#7 Pelicans along the California coastline are “refusing to mate“.  This is being blamed on a lack of fish for the pelicans to eat.  As a result, we are seeing less than one percent of the usual number of baby pelicans.

#8 The oyster population in the Pacific is falling so fast that it is being called “the great American oyster collapse“.

#9 The population of sockeye salmon along the coast of Alaska is at a “historic low“.

#10 Something is causing herring off the coast of British Columbia to bleed from their gills, bellies and eyeballs.

#11 Scientists have discovered very high levels of cesium-137 in plankton living in the waters of the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and the west coast.

#12 Back in May, more than six tons of anchovies died in Marina Del Ray over a single weekend.

#13 Just a few days ago, thousands of dead fish were found on Capitola Beach.  Authorities are trying to figure out what caused this.

#14 Earlier this month, thousands of dead fish were found on Manresa Beach.

#15 According to a study conducted by researchers at Oregon State University, radiation levels in tuna caught off the coast of Oregon approximately tripled in the aftermath of the Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Could it be possible that at least some of these deaths are related to what has been happening at Fukushima?

We do know that fish caught just off the shore from Fukushima have been tested to have radioactive cesium that is up to 124 times above the level that is considered to be safe.

And we also know that a study conducted at the University of South Wales concluded that the main radioactive plume of water from Fukushima would reach our shores at some point during 2014.

Is it so unreasonable to think that the greatest nuclear disaster in human history could have something to do with the death of all of these sea creatures?

Just consider what one very experienced Australian boat captain discovered when he crossed the Pacific last year.  According to him, it felt as though “the ocean itself was dead“…

The next leg of the long voyage was from Osaka to San Francisco and for most of that trip the desolation was tinged with nauseous horror and a degree of fear.

“After we left Japan, it felt as if the ocean itself was dead,” Macfadyen said.

“We hardly saw any living things. We saw one whale, sort of rolling helplessly on the surface with what looked like a big tumour on its head. It was pretty sickening.

“I’ve done a lot of miles on the ocean in my life and I’m used to seeing turtles, dolphins, sharks and big flurries of feeding birds. But this time, for 3000 nautical miles there was nothing alive to be seen.”

In place of the missing life was garbage in astounding volumes.

“Part of it was the aftermath of the tsunami that hit Japan a couple of years ago. The wave came in over the land, picked up an unbelievable load of stuff and carried it out to sea. And it’s still out there, everywhere you look.”

What do you think?

Is Fukushima to blame, or do you think that something else is causing massive numbers of sea creatures to die?

A very impressive article and interesting replies… the sad part is we pay people to protect the country and help make our world better…
We the masses do other types of work, keeping this insanity going. The masses are asses, because they are trusting the people they hire to do their jobs properly and with integrity, specifically the entire government. As we plainly see, we have been manipulated.
We shouldn’t be forced into doing our work and theirs as well. It is time to reject this system and make drastic changes.
We should all see, with dramatic clarity, that we are at the precipice, a place where the types of decisions we make will either destroy us or leave a legacy behind that we can be proud of. As stewards of this planet it is imperative that we consider our actions or inaction, both determine our fate.

Radiation causes all these cancerous diseases if it’s not acute burn because you got a lot of it at once and the scientists want to focus on the disease the radiation caused in the sea life and report only that. They must not be allowed to inform the cause was radiation for all these immune system and melting disorders of hot particles getting into the sea creatures or they are really that compartmentalized and stupid. Radiation doesn’t leave the body if it’s deeply embedded without bone marrow transplant and blood transfusions which dilute it down, not chelate it out like a chemical bonding with something you can take as a pill or eat….The game is often to stay alive with your remaining healthy cells, all you can do and the radiation always brings on new cancer and if you have cancer x-radiation actually kills off cancer cells and gives you more mutations therefore more cancer cells always coming back. This is the reason most people lose all their teeth in the dental x-ray chair as GROWING children. Radiation mutates their cells in the mouth and they can’t grow a good 2nd set of teeth that rebuild tooth matter through their lives and their breath stinks because cancer stinks and they all have a bunch of little micro mouth cancers and the dentists want to blame it on the sugar, which only feeds the cancer fungus….they want to blame it on poor oral hygiene…and sell them millions of dollars of more dental products all their lives….So you see the dirt poor in the world with fascinatingly beautiful teeth all be because they didn’t have dentists using x-ray machines in their lives when they were growing, like the children in the USA….The world doesn’t know it because everyone is faking their smile with all kinds of surgery, dentures, and implants…and bleaching the plaque of cancer. Yes you can kill cancer fungus plaque buildup stuff and it helps the stink but the micro radiation has done it’s damage forever killing things in the mouth and making it’s fungal stink, just as breast cancer and stomach cancer stink….bacteria is the fastest killer of living organisms….cancer takes a long time to kill people compared to bacteria so it was quite a trick of the industry after the money of the ignorant…it proves they will kill you for the money…you can see even now the dentists aren’t quitting they are doing it everyday and pushing people into that x-ray chair….so they get bloody gums when older because they can’t heal normally the cells are mutated, normally something bleeding can heal with a scar.

Watching “Shark Week” there was a segment on why sharks are more frequently attacking people in New Smyrna Beach and along the beaches. It was discovered the inlet rivers that are usually covered with plant life that feed the fish population does not exist. They don’t know why the bottom of the rivers are sand and the plant life has disappeared. The fish population is flowing into the ocean in search of food and sharks are being drawn to the beaches.

  5. Scientists say its a holographic universe. Its hard to understand how group consciousness could allow or think this dire situation up. We have a free music CD called “Look Up” about chemtrails if anyone wants a copy, email us. We want to share the information with the world….tell everyone you know….they don’t want to hear it, they’d rather Facebook unfortunately. What happened to the 60’s people? The counterculture that believe in peace and love and mother nature? Is there really a world protest this September? I hope so! That would be so good!

  6. Pat Curry says:

I think it is the combination of chemtrails, HAARP, Fukushima, mercury and other toxins in the water and air. I don’t feel very optimistic about all this at all. The Bible talks about everything in the sea dying in the end times and this is a prophecy coming true.

  7. Protonius says:

Fukushima, chemtrails, HAARP, industrial pollution, the “soup” of human-made electromagnetic transmissions, and a whole slew of probably secret stuuf that has not reached )or be permitted to be mentioned in) the major media — you name it.

  8. Alex says:

Everything from above is more then true, and it is really sad and sickening. I have tried many times to address this to people, but they just don’t care or don’t want to know. I hope “they” are aware of what is going on and have a trick up their sleeves. But i kind of doubt that. I don’t like thinking that we are lost as a species, but maybe that is just the hard reallity. This is very sad! Who wants to live in a world like this! Humans discuss me! We never needed nuclear power! Tesla invented clean free power decades ago! When I was a kid I new better. YOU DONT MESS WITH STUF THAT YOU CANT CONTROL AND HAS A POTENTIAL TO KILL EVERYTHING ON THE PLANET! We are in bad shape, seriously! Most nuclear plants leak regularly 75%..

  10. Southernbelle says:

Radiation kills the Plankton. No Plankton, no sea life.

Its definitely gotta be Fukushima.I don’t know if its gonna get better. That stuff will stay there thousands of years.Im sure Monsanto doesn’t mind…Its the end.Watch more reality tv while it all goes.

  12. Kurt Pantaleo says:

Yeah—it’s the cumulative effects of everything man has been doing(and not doing). I am 47 now and when I get old and am getting ready to die–it looks like the planet is going with me.

  13. Katie Cavanaugh says:

Dane, In May I took a break from my busy life and booked a week on the Oregon Coast – Depoe Bay. Each morning we would walk the beaches, jump from rock to rock at the tide pools and just take in beauty of the magnificent tree lined coast. One thing that stood out was the lifelessness of the tide pools, the lack of birds along the beaches and an ire feeling that something was very wrong. I felt a sense of grief the entire time there. It is palpable. I just kept thinking “what have we done?”

The next 100 years on this planet is going to get real interesting…….

Also radiofrequency radiation from all the cell towers etc. and sonar.

  16. Cori Gunnells says:

I think we are seeing the effects of Fukushima and geo-engineering toxins. It’s a 1-2 punch. I also know the toxicology/pathology results ‘could’ be done, are likely done, and the results are kept from the public. We have the ability to discern what is causing what, yet event after event, and story after story is featured in the mainstream media and no one is laying the factual evidence (toxicology results) out for all to see.

  17. Tim says:

Chemtrails. The entire Pacific has been drenched in them.
