To control the flow of information is to control public opinion. How extreme must media censorship become before populations begin to understand many or most of their opinions were crafted for them? What are the latest breaking headlines from the front lines of the biosphere? What “predictions” are being made about the coming Atlantic hurricane season? What are the claims about who is using the weather to their advantage? The latest installment of Global Alert News is below.

What can each and every one of us do to make a difference? First and foremost, we must be willing to try. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” as the Lao Tzu proverb goes. All are needed in the critical battle to sound the alarm, sharing credible data with others is the most effective and efficient way to wake them. We must make every day count.

My apologies for digressing.  Re:  The abominable 'war' in Yemen and the genocide there. . . . . . just learned the real reason behind it!!!  Besides helping our 'good buddies' the Saudis destroy Yemen and murder every last person there for its port cities, the crux of the matter lies with the Last Empire owning the crossroads of strategic waterways of the Indian Ocean at the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.  Socotra Island belongs to Yemen and is a wildlife preserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site.  In 2010 Patraeus snagged it in a very sneaky, sleazy manner for a major, major US military base (to complement Diego Garcia).   The island is on the major route for oil tankers.  Not only that, Russia is eyeing Socotra as a military port.

I'm telling you that when these admirals and generals get something in their heads, they NEVER give it up.

“Whoever attains maritime supremacy in the Indian Ocean would be a prominent player on the international scene.” (US Navy Geostrategist Rear Admiral Alfred Thayus Mahan (1840-1914))"  (See what the dead Admiral said about this place in the 21st century.)

Please see the maps and details.  It all makes such SICK sense.  It's beginning to look like the flashpoint for WWIII.

We can understand 'resource' wars, but the power structure can never sense, see or imagine any limits, it seems to me.  They see no limits to power and no limits to the resources.  They cannot even square the paradoxical circle of acquiring 'endless resources' with a strategy of 'mass destruction'.  They're amoral fools and mental gnats (no offense to gnats).  Idiots of the absolute worst description.  We must continue to resist and bear witness to the evil and hope for their utter failure.

    • simone says:

If our stupid, deeply sleeping population would wake up and eventually stop USING and PRODUCING fossil fuel the military fights for the oil resources would make no sense any longer.  But tragically, the majority of us are moronic consumers and servants,  who work for these hellish industries and military … People would NEVER LEARN because the majority wants to be quickly paid for any jobs!!! and "make money "to buy a larger TV…to watch false weather reports, horror movies, "exciting news"  and sports.  The sleeping population has an enormous power and can change the bleeding world for the better – but people have no clue about their Power!!! Psychotic "Generals" have no power, but they just take advantage of our mass stupidity and keep playing  "exciting"  games while destroying life on earth.  We shall be killing the whole outdated economy instead of feeding it with stinky deadly oil.

The "war" on Yemen is all about strategic money laundering via the British parliament and G7, and sanctioned by British/American military interests. All this is just stage setting for the overthrow of Iran.  At some point in the near future, Syria will also be a done deal.  5500 years of human history will be spun into another fairy tail for fools that have the attention span of fruit flies…

'As crimes pile up, they become invisible': Western complicity in Saudi Arabia's dirty war in Yemen — RT Op-ed

After three years of relentless conflict, it has been estimated that out of a population of 27.4 million, 22.2 million people in Yemen are in need of humanitarian assistance, 17 million are food insecure, 14.8 million lack basic healthcare, 4.5 million children are suffering malnourishment, while 2.9 million people are internally displaced. As for dead and injured, the toll stands at almost 10,000 and 50,000 respectively.

Lots of interesting weather here in southern CA as we approach Summer Solstice (and I AM a Druid)  I noticed some "SRM trail remnants" blowing in from the south this AM in advance of moisture/ clouds from hurricane Bud off Baja.

Weather Engineers have planned a double whammy for us as a cut off low pressure system also settles into northern NV next few days. Scheduled a 25F temp cooldown for us by Sunday.

Elko NV had frost warnings a few days ago.  Small earthquake reported today, cut off low arrival that area Fri.

    • Stuart Ebert says:

      Thurs PM update –

M2.5 quake just reported near Hawthorne, NV.  This location SW of earlier quake at Elko.  Rain in forecast for both locations this weekend.

M3.0 quake also just reported near Cuba/ Santa Fe, NM. This location is in direct path of TS Bud and forecast is for Heavy Rain next several days.

Very strange to see both cold air mass from GOA/ Canada and tropical storm from Baja heading to SW U.S. at same time!

Civilization As Asteroid: Humans, Livestock And Extinctions

"Humans and our livestock now make up 97 percent of all animals on land.  Wild animals (mammals and birds) have been reduced to a mere remnant: just 3 percent.  This is based on mass.  Humans and our domesticated animals outweigh all terrestrial wild mammals and birds 32-to-1."

    https://www.resilience.org/stories/2018-06-13/civilization-as-asteroid-humans-livestock-and-extinctions/

Edit: I was shocked the number of wild animals was so low. I thought it would have been at least 70/30 (humans/wild animals). We have not been good stewards of Planet Earth.

    • Rodster says:

I forgot to mention that prior to agriculture and human civilization those numbers were flip flopped.

"Before the advent of agriculture and human civilizations, however, the opposite was the case: wild animals and birds dominated, and their numbers and mass were several times greater than their numbers and mass today. Before the advent of agriculture, about 11,000 years ago, humans made up just a tiny fraction of animal biomass, and domesticated livestock did not exist.  The current situation—the domination of the Earth by humans and our food animals—is a relatively recent development."

Yesterday it was actually lovely in Ct.  Was supposed to be the same today.  But then I saw the sprayers in force yesterday afternoon, and sure enough, today is just cloud soup. Even weirder is the hi's & low's are exactly the same today…..70!!!!!  Just like Dane's been talking about…higher low's.

I'm wondering what the point is of all this.  I feel it's even deeper than what Dane is saying but that's pure conjecture on my part.  As a side note, ticks are just everywhere!  I, myself, caught Lyme disease and am currently on antibiotics.  Yes, I know Ct is ground zero for Lyme (we're across Long Island Sound from Plum Island.  Hmmmm!), but still, it's an absurd number of ticks which I've never seen in 53 years in Ct. Another way to cull the heard?

The packet of materials I ordered from this site has arrived!! Thank you for the efforts and professionalism put into this. To be able to provide professional and credible leaflets to those willing to observe is priceless! I have also been leaving the fliers at health clubs and health food stores. Living in a resort area, this is also prime time to present this pertinent information to those sitting on the beach and looking at the sky. Hate to ruin their vacation, but for many, a beach vacation is the only time they look up and out at 'nature.' We have to cease the moment! Time is running out!

Thank you Dane and all who have produced these helpful tools! Continue to sound the alarm! Peace and blessings!

dear friends, more sad news about the dying of the trees. in this case the millenial Baobabs. they are dying and of course the scientist are baffled, because there are no apparent reasons. the author of the article Ed Young from The Atlantic, has noticed is not only the baobabs, as he has observed similar happenings in forests in Minnesota and other states. I emailed him and sent him the link of

Dane and Jeff Rense talking about this issue.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2018/06/baobab-trees-dying-climate-change/562499/

    • orazio says:

Hello everyone, yes, dear Beatriz is a great sadness, but we must not be discouraged. It is necessary to do everything possible on the basis of our own strength even to plant trees, think, a tree each person and we would have planted seven billion trees at once

    • Pedro says:

The seeds of the mighty Baobab only germinates after passing through

    • 'a' simple horseman says:

Beatriz, I watched this video this morning after reading about it on your earlier posting. Geesh, it's been on my mind all day. I don't know where in southern Oregon Jeff is, but he mentioned his "40" Ponderosa trees. I have over a thousand of them, easily. Same scenario all the way around. The Ponderosa are one of the "sacrificed" species in aerosol technologies. Essentially, once again, the power structure playing God. Which they don't very well if one follows their track record(grin). My commute to work and back each and every day ranges from driving on forest roads to two lane rural roads. I see the Ponderosa, the same ones year after year. I find it quite suspicious that the USFS has crews out cutting down thickets of larch fir and tamarak (for over a decade now), which are now doing the best of the three species involved here in my region.

Once upon a time, I thought I had paradise in the bag. I bought and paid for 20 acres of (at the time) fine Ponderosa. All I wanted to do in my old age was grow trees, care for them, "watch them grow as I faded into the sunset". I've even got a spot picked out where I will be laid to rest among them. Good or bad in the end, I'm in this life with them until the end of my days or theirs, "same thing"….

  11. simone says:

Well, it is good to know some great individuals care and active… Chris Packham Warns An "Ecological Apocalypse" Looms For Great Britain

: The dying off insects has been noticed before, and scientists have feared that it could mean the earth is unbalanced ecologically and there could be serious implications for all life on the planet. Germany was revealed to have lost 76% of flying insects since 1989 and Packham says the decades of losses were finally visible to humanity.

But Packham’s focus is on all animal life. Since he first became passionate about birds, in 1970, Britain has lost 90 million wild birds, with the turtle dove population down a whopping 95% since 1990.  The turtle doves are now hurtling towards extinction. The State of Nature 2016 report described Britain as being “among the most nature-depleted countries in the world.” The report contained scientific data and statistics from more than 50 conservation and research organizations. That data has revealed that 40% of all species are in moderate or steep decline.

NO CLOUDS OF ANY SORTS BECAUSE –  "CONTRAIL" JETS are NOT  flying around in this HOT weather. Is it too HOT  for them to work on "cooling" this baking weather?

Too hot for their gentle jet-engines and they need too much fuel to cool of themselves??  THE COOLING "CLIMATE MODELING"  DO NOT WORK WHEN THE WEATHER BECOMES REALLY HOT 🙂 ??

  15. Bluv says:

Heavy dispersion over Portland today with rain in the forecast for tomorrow. I am becoming extremely frustrated with the citizenry almost to the point of giving up with my personal crusade to awaken people. My friends see that something is amiss but that's where it ends for most of them. I know that pointing this out to people in real time probably isn't as effective as a flyer but when it's so blatantly obvious I will talk up a conversation with a stranger just to let off steam, most of them don't care. My brother called the other day and asked if I was alright, the word is getting around and people think I'm crazy. I'm starting to wonder if we as a species are really worth the effort.

    • helot says:

Dear Bluv, I could REALLY relate to your comment, except for that last part.

Life, is worth living. Spend some time with a child or a puppy, and see. J.m.h.o.

    • simone says:

Our population deserves what its majority chooses. The very stupid or just mad rulers are ABSOLUTELY POWERLESS if not supported by millions of their people.  For instance, If consumers educate themselves and stop buying GMO "products" the Monsanto monster will file bankruptcy in a couple within a few months – no consumers no money.

If our stupid population will learn Why they get sick all the time they would stop poisoning themselves with "medications" and refuse hellish "medical treatments".

If people would be able to observe their sky, test their water and watch trees and birds dying, they  would replace our government who  has created this colossal terror on the planet called Geoengineering.

In my modest opinion, not the rulers have all the power but brain-damaged huge crowds.  But the crowds are Blind and Deaf and unaware of how much power they possess for to change for the better…

      Cheers!

    • Sandy Patrus says:

Hi Bluv, for a very progressive city that Portland is, I think a lot of the people are lacking in knowledge as to what is really going on in this country.  I have a sister that lives there and she refuses to believe the spraying is going on in the skies there and states that no one she knows, and she knows a lot of people because she once owned a bar there, believes this is happening either.  In fact, when I text her pictures of my skies on a bad spray day, she calls them clouds.  She thinks I have totally lost my mind!  After getting the rolled eye emoji many times from her, I stopped  sending her pictures trying to explain the difference between what real clouds look like compared to geoengineered skies, it is just not worth the effort.

  17. Tom Petrie says:

I was sharing information with a neighbor recently about Geoengineering and it became an interesting conversation, that's for sure!  I had shared some credible information with him about Geoengineering but when I asked him WHY did he think ALCOA is on the board of directors of the American Alzh. Association he became angry that I claimed a link between Aluminum and A.D.  "That's unproven," and so-forth.  I never saw someone who was a research scientist get so angry because I casually noted the link between a neurotoxin and Alzheimer's Disease.  I asked for my flyer back and I left.  Wow–a person working at a research facility who is not only very closed-minded, but with whom I could not even have a conversation.  It's not going to deter me from sharing information with folks, but wow–you have to tread gently around so many people!  And the bigger their houses or cars/SUV's, the less "in touch" with the state of the world they are.  Sad, but true.

    • helot says:

I can so relate to everything you wrote, Tom Petrie. As hard as it is, please find some way to hand back that flyer.

    • Dennie Mehocich says:

When we talk to people about the geoengineering reality in an attempt to spread the word, you must bear in mind quite consciously that often it's more about YOUR anxiety than theirs.  People that don't know about this come in two kinds:  1.) Those who can imagine that geoengineering is a possibility or even have an inkling but don't know the details or that this can be done and is in fact in progress, and 2.) Those who do not know, have no idea, and have NO observational skills because life's so easy that they actually believe they do not have to pay any kind of attention to anything, including where the sun comes up and where it sets.  These types have to be sold on WHY they should know, and they have to have some kind of tools with which they can DO something about the situation.  If you can even get through to them.  When it's neighbors you're trying to talk to, I tread very very carefully because you do NOT want to create enemies out of your neighbors– NOT with the massive wildfires going on every where, and now it's another summer and fire season's here again.  You'll need all the allies you can get if your  neighborhood catches on fire.

  19. Ron Marr says:

David Ben-Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel, stated for LOOK MAGAZINE, on January 16, 1962 : "the rising importance of men of science, may transform the United States into a welfare state with a planned economy; all other continents will become united in a world alliance at whose disposal will be an International police force. All armies will be abolished, and there will be no more wars. In Jerusalem, the United nations will build a shrine of the prophets to serve the federated union of all continents; this will be the sect of Supreme Court of mankind."

We know today that Jerusalem, under the veil of the living, murdered many, with the help of Trump… for Israel's new capital.

This is not new…a few pages from the, 'Report from Iron Mountain', Pg 66-67 : "Maybe, for instance, that gross pollution of the environment can eventually replace the possibility of mass destruction by Nuclear weapons as the principal apparent threat to the survival of the species. Poisoning of the air, and of the principal sources of food and water supply, is already well advanced, and at first glance would seem promising in this respect; it constitutes a threat that can be dealt with only through social organization and political power."

    THE FACELESS GOD

In dim abysses pulse the shapes of night, hungry and hideous, with strange mitres crowned; Black pinions beating in fantastic flight from orb to orb thro sunless gulfs profound.

None dares to name the cosmos whence they course, or guess the look on each amorphous face, or speak the words that with resistless force would draw them from the hells of outer space.

Yet here upon a page our frightened glance finds monstrous forms no human eye should see; Hints of those blasphemies whose countenance spreads death and madness through infinity. What limner he who braves black gulfs alone and lives to make their alien horrors known?  H.P. LOVECRAFT

  20. Hello all:  I've been putting off this note for a number of months, but current sensory input makes this note mandatory. HEADS UP FOLKS Readers need to understand that aerosol concentrations have reached certain "optimized" saturation levels in the atmosphere.  HAARP and other electromagnetic technologies are being utilized for much more than weather manipulation.  That constant ringing in your ears is not imaginary, and it sure as hell isn't tinnitus.  If you're feeling paranoid, scattered, agitated, depressive, and/or just can't get your shit together, it's not your "fault". Paul, I'm afraid I have to agree with you. The 'saturation' level of each aspect of this heinous crime, has been ramped up markedly in the last two weeks. Something very bad is going on. I am very sorry for your physical suffering and for that of so many of us. I am thankful that my hope is in Jesus. I opened my Bible a few days ago ,and happened to land on Isaiah 51:6.   "Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation shall last forever, my righteousness shall never fail." Hoping this all stops and creation is restored. Yet, knowing that our hope is in Him and him alone. Peace and blessings.

While the aircraft was at cruising altitude, the pilot – with 28 years of experience – stood up, became dizzy, lost consciousness and fell to the floor. There was a similar fainting episode on January 22, also on an Alaska Airlines aircraft. In that case, the copilot briefly lost consciousness in flight. In both cases, the pilots held current medical certificates. There could be several contributing factors. Evidently, all these Alaska Airlines jets are WiFi-enabled. Potential adverse effects from this exposure can include nausea, vertigo and fainting. Was this a contributing factor?" Read the entire article… http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/document/view?id=7022127205

When you can no longer survive in urban environments > cannot travel safety, cannot attend public restaurants – libraries – government buildings – bars – social gatherings, or even outdoor parks without being accosted by other people's cellular suicides, avoidance becomes high priority.  When you can't enter a hospital or medical facility without falling down from electro-induced seizures, you might even get pissed off…

"Chemical Cool Down In The Pacific Northwest"

Dane mentioned it and forecasted it in this last weeks broadcast of Global Alert News. Well I'm here to tell ya, "it has arrived". Some observations if I may: Last night I saw more stars than I have seen in quite a few 'years'. It also cooled down considerably at night, like it should when the skies are "clear". Oddly, not any aerosol dispersions to be seen from ground level over the last 2 plus days now. What I have noted is the magnitude of the microwaves influencing air flow and cloud formations. It's huge! I've never seen so many "notches" taken out of the leading front of clouds. I saw those "surf wave" clouds the other day. It's funny, decades ago I took science classes in high school just because they were interesting and not boring. Art and PE, now that's boring(to me). I wasn't then and have never been a fan of "an easy A". (You see what I'm saying there). Never saw the value in it. Color 'me' silly, eh?(grin). An astounding number of Ponderosa are "coning out" this spring. Young, old and in between. I've never seen so many cones growing on trees. This is a very bad sign my friends. Very bad. Combine that with the supposed new branch growths. They look like… well… death warmed over. Of coarse most don't look at trees like I do. (Ever touch a tree and have it say hello back to you?), (It helps to say hello first, just sayin). This "cool down" has come at an interesting time in regards to the wild life here. I have 3 pairs of birds with little ones to feed and 3 pairs still setting. I'm grateful that I have one more pair than I did last year. Coarse now, my horse water tanks are the only water for over a mile. The tanks have "landing platforms". There are no predators here either. The Mustangs do a good job. The bug population has fluctuated with the warming and cooling that has taken place this spring. There are so few bugs here anymore, it's a wonder I have birds here at all. The Blue Birds especially are not near as plump as they once were.

Anyone know what comes after the last ditch effort of cooling for the season? How much more employ does say, CalFire have these days compared to even 10 years ago? (They've been to 'my' door step here in Washington state. I got "GPS'd"). With all the undergrowth that is growing during these cooling days(somewhat resembling the good old days), when they dry this terrain out, it's gonna be quite a show.

    Love and strength to ALL,

Despite his promises to curtail Washington’s foreign interventions, Donald Trump has been a bigger warmonger than either Barack Obama or George W. Bush, says Redacted Tonight host Lee Camp.

He notes that according to the Pentagon’s own statistics, over his two terms Bush unleashed an average of 24 bombs a day, a number that went up to 34 per day under the last Democrat president. Under Trump, the figure has risen to 121 bombs a day, for a total of over 44,000 per year.

Tom, Darn right it works, "free information, non political, non religious". But, I guess you'd have to get out there on "the street", "face to face" to know so. I have often been asked at the booth I tend, "so, what are you selling?" I make sure to come off casual. As in "not ready to pounce"(grin). I always reply, "I sell nothing and want nothing, (pause), I only 'give' away important information that everyone 'needs' to know about. What do 'you' know about Geo engineering?" I've yet to 'not' get a respectable response.

Oh, and by the way, you once commented about having a picture at the top of an individuals comment. My friend, if I knew how I would have a picture on my "contributions". Didn't think it was as important as the little I can offer to any that read accounts of my 'actions' and observations. For what it's worth, I am quite camera shy. Not many photos of me "out there". I even evaded the cameras when I went to Redding last year. When a photo of me gets posted here, I'm stepping up my game for the good of the many. It is good to know you are out there on the streets just like I am. I wish consistency for you. May you learn as much as I have in your time spent getting the word out about Geo engineering. These Kudos aren't just for Tom, they are for everyone out there that is laying some rubber down on the road. May our numbers grow "exponentially"(grin), (exhale)…..

It's a wonder I still had friends back then. Since then, I do not look at my past actions as defects. More like a learning curve ya might say. Do not be afraid, ever, to "practice". We're always getting better at what we "do". No matter what "it" is. Our campaign on the streets is no different.

"Flat lander", Ha!(smile), you should haul yourself up here to my cabin on a mountain side and then call me a flat lander. We'd both have a good laugh as we watch the engineered skies pass by….

Over the past few years I've certainly done my share of posting news items, factual items, research items, corrections and commentary on others' posts, and offered just plain rants at what's happening with regard to the weather and climate change.  What's that been doing?

Tonight I ran into a neighbor I hadn't seen in a while, someone I'd turned on to GW a few years back.  She commented on the fierce winds we've been getting and I said, "Yeah, from our geoengineered weather." She said "Ya think?" I said "Oh yeah, all our weather is now."  She said more people are getting hip, waking up, seeing the "chem trails" as she called them (because they DO leave a trail of chemicals spewed out of the jets, but we know what to call them when speaking with the general public and our elected representatives), and getting informed, but WHAT. DO. WE. ALL. DO. ABOUT. IT. NOW?  Well, for one, why not keep holding our elected representatives' feet to the flames, keep inundating them with questions and informative materials in e-mails? If it's true that they DO in fact know about it, then we really have to keep holding them to reality and not just slink away like a bunch of "learned helplessness" dejected, defeated dogs.  You don't know what being persistent actually does until you try it, really try it.  If Nelson Mandela can sit in a jail for nearly three decades then throw off the oppression of apartheid, we can follow his lead and do likewise.  There are many, many other things we can do to keep the ball moving forward as we hear from Dane.  You can influence more potential activists with carrots (kind words of encouragement) than sticks ("You're not doing enough!"), for one.

Although I urge more direct action, to include physical disruption of military operations in order to save lives."
    NOTES ON U.S. MILITARY PLANNING
In the notes below, prepared for the Conference on U.S. Foreign Military Bases, held in January in Baltimore, Matt Hoh outlines what we can expect from Pentagon planners, and the role of drones, in the evolving U.S. scheme for war on the down low.  These notes, edited slightly for clarity, provide a context for forthcoming bulletin articles dealing more specifically with drone war.
    [Three excerpts]:
    * Necessity of and reliance on other bases outside Greater Middle East will grow.  Variety of reasons, but technological limitations and environmental limitations, such as that atmospheric and curvature of the earth issues limit relay of communications. For example, drone strikes in Middle East that are controlled by Air Force and CIA in  the U.S. are not possible without relay station at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, see Norman Solomon’s article on this in The Nation. https://www.thenation.com/article/the-most-important-us-air-force-base-youve-never-heard-of/ or consult drone whistleblowers like Cian Westmoreland or Lisa Ling. Larger bases outside of Middle East are and will be greater utilized for warehousing and basing of equipment, supplies, munitions and personnel. “Just in time” utilization of logistics allow for lower footprint.
    * … special operations forces based on ships for raids, such as we have seen in Yemen, Somalia, Libya, etc. They fly in by helicopter and murder or kidnap as needed. Persons who are seized are kept aboard US ships to avoid acknowledgment or legal issues.
    *  … Also utilizing outside nations to intervene such as Kenyan, Ugandan and Ethiopian forces in Somalia. Goes into larger shift in American military policies in Muslim world, to simply subjugate and punish people and areas not receptive to American hegemony rather than utilizing political, economic, diplomatic measures to control populations and regions.

U.S. Navy Inducts MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Into Service Ahead Of First Operational Deployment to Guam
    June 10, 2018
The two UAVs are housed in a specially built hangar used by the maintenance detachment to accommodate the pair of 130.9-ft wingspan drones built by Northrop Grumman for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
The U.S. Navy’s MQ-4C “Triton” Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) is an ISR (Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance) platform that will complement the P-8A Poseidon within the Navy’s Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Force family of systems: for instance, testing has already proved the MQ-4C’s ability to pass FMV (Full Motion Video) to a Poseidon MPA (Maritime Patrol Aircraft).
An advanced version than the first generation Global Hawk Block 10, the drone  it is believed to be a sort of Block 20 and Block 30 Global Hawk hybrid, carrying Navy payload including an AN/ZPY-3 multi-function active-sensor (MFAS) radar system, that gives the Triton the ability to cover more than 2.7 million square miles in a single mission that can last as long as 24 hours at a time, at altitudes higher than 10 miles, with an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles.
The U.S. Navy plans to procure 68 aircraft and 2 prototypes.
… The U.S. Navy plans to operate five 24-hour orbits around the world. The UAVs will be controlled from two MOBs (Main Operating Bases): Naval Station Mayport, Florida, and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington.
The aircraft will be launched (and recovered) from 5 bases: Naval Air Station Sigonella, Italy; an unspecified location in the Middle East (Al Dhafra, UAE, where the U.S. Air Force RQ-4 are forward deployed?); Naval Air Station Guam; Naval Station Mayport; and Point Mugu.

The Most Important US Air Force Base You’ve Never Heard Of
Ramstein, Germany, is the hub for America’s global drone war, from North Africa to South Asia.

    By Norman Solomon
    July 7, 2016   [excerpts]

The overseas hub for America’s “war on terror” is the massive Ramstein Air Base in southwest Germany. Nearly ignored by US media, Ramstein serves crucial functions for drone warfare and much more. It’s the most important Air Force base abroad, operating as a kind of grand central station for airborne war—whether relaying video images of drone targets in Afghanistan to remote pilots with trigger fingers in Nevada, or airlifting special-ops units on missions to Africa, or transporting munitions for airstrikes in Syria and Iraq. Soaking up billions of taxpayer dollars, Ramstein has scarcely lacked for anything from the home country, other than scrutiny.
Known as “Little America” in this mainly rural corner of Germany, the area now includes 57,000 US citizens clustered around Ramstein and a dozen smaller bases. The Defense Department calls it “the largest American community outside of the United States.” Ramstein serves as the biggest Air Force cargo port beyond US borders, providing “full spectrum airfield operations” along with “world-class airlift and expeditionary combat support.” The base also touts “superior” services and “exceptional quality of life.” To look at Ramstein and environs is to peer into a faraway mirror for the United States; what’s inside the frame is normality for endless war.
… The scope of that projection is vast, with “areas of responsibility” that include Europe, Russia, and Africa—104 countries in all. And Ramstein is well-staffed to meet the challenge, with over 7,500 “active duty Airmen”—more than any other US military base in the world except the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
… Ramstein receives visual images from drones via satellite, then relays the images to sensor operators and pilots at computer terminals in the United States. “Ramstein is absolutely essential to the US drone program,” says Brandon Bryant, a former Air Force sensor operator who participated in drone attacks on Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia for five years while stationed in New Mexico and Nevada. “All information and data go through Ramstein. Everything. For the whole world.”
…“I think that’s part of the strength of the secrecy of the program,” Bryant said. “It’s fragmented.” Meanwhile, “We were supposed to function and never ask questions.”
… classified documents obtained by The Intercept shed light on a special ops series of airstrikes from January 2012 to February 2013 in northeast Afghanistan, code-named Operation Haymaker. The attacks killed more than 200 people, while only 35 were the intended targets.  Such numbers may be disturbing, yet they don’t convey what actually happens in human terms.
Several years ago, Pakistani photographer Noor Behram described the aftermath of a US drone attack: “There are just pieces of flesh lying around after a strike. You can’t find bodies. So the locals pick up the flesh and curse America. They say that America is killing us inside our own country, inside our own homes, and only because we are Muslims.”
“… The buzz of a distant propeller is a constant reminder of imminent death.”
… Chancellor Angela Merkel has played dumb about drone-related operations in her country. “The German government claims to know nothing at all,” Bundestag member Ströbele said. “Either this is a lie, or the government does not want to know.” The general secretary of the Berlin-based European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, Wolfgang Kaleck, sums up the German government’s strategy as “See nothing, hear nothing, say nothing.” He charges that “Germany is making itself complicit in the deaths of civilians as part of the US drone war.”

The “war on terror” is a gravy train for those who spin through the revolving doors of the military-industrial complex.
…zeal to further expand drone missions… “They are arming decision makers with intelligence, our warfighters with targets, and our enemies with fear, anxiety and ultimately their timely end.”
… Some in-house government appraisals have concluded that the drone war fails because it creates more enemies than it kills. But the “war on terror” is anything but a failure for many corporations or the individuals who spin through the revolving doors of the military-industrial complex.
As a critical node in the Pentagon’s global “intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance” (ISR) system, Ramstein is integral to ongoing boondoggles for contractors like Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Booz Allen Hamilton, and General Dynamics.
The bottomless pit for taxpayers is a bottomless well for firms catering to the Air Force, with its jargon-larded pursuit of “a distributed ISR operation capable of providing world-wide, near-real-time simultaneous intelligence to multiple theaters of operation through…robust reachback communications architectures.”
Looking back at the milieu of his work in the drone program, Westmoreland has concluded that “it’s more or less a for-profit venture. When you get out of the military, you expect to get a job in the defense sector, an executive position. And really it’s about racking up as many awards and decorations as you possibly can.”
At the top ranks, Westmoreland sees a conflict of interest: “They have an incentive to keep wars going.” For the military’s leadership, the available dividends are quite large.
Endless war propels an endless gravy train.

Susan, I learned of Ramstein many years ago as I have a niece who married a long time love who is stationed there.  She even moved there herself finally with some of her children AND never left the base!  Never got to see Europe but from an American base!!  And now they are divorced, he became violent.  I just lept to the conclusion that Ramstein was a drone op at least a couple of years before I was able to confirm it. I was stunned when Obama took droning large.  I never would have thought and was embarrassed for our country.  Even though it seems hopeless and specialized lawyers and politicians have nailed us to the wall, in theory, this IS a democracy and a whole lot of people are waking up to that fact.  I've been continually stunned by the lack of women in our government, and we did rate 96th in the world on par with Pakistan, but now, two women, Native yet, one set to join Congress, the other to become Governor, and many other women gaining seats at the table too.  I believe with more women, less war.  Regardless of the money war makes, few women would vote for it, too many men would.  As is obvious.  A bizarre reverse racism elected Obama.  Party does not matter, color does not matter, war wins out every time.  In ye old Indian days tribes usually had a men's council and a women's council.  The women held the veto power when it came to war.  I like it.  Of course there are wicked women, women who try to be just like the boys in business and government, always will be, but they are few.  We need many in government, many, and they are coming!  If we live long enough.  Which we won't.  Point is, a democracy is a very special thing that has never worked out well.  But it sure as heck is worth aiming for and theoretically, our constitution backs it up.  One heck of a lot of house cleaning to do!

    • Dennie says:

"Democracy" as well as "Freedom and Justice for all" in this country was meant to work for only those who are 1.) Male, 2.) White, 3.) I'm not saying that the First Nations societies were perfect.  The Romanticized notion of their lives is wrong, too.  But they did know how to live in harmony with nature.

The US has just had its warmest May since their records began (1895)…following their coldest (geoengineered) April in US history.

Earth has just had its 400th month of above average temperatures.

Currently, about half of the surface air temperature of the Arctic Ocean is above 0ºC – the North Pole is at 0.2ºC. With sustained heat and also considerable rainfall forecast for the Arctic Region for the next few weeks, there will be a dramatic loss of ice on land and sea this month (will we get truthful data reporting?). The geoengineers will conduct massive toxic endothermic spraying to temporarily turn the rain into ice.

Ice loss is happening fast in the Himalayas.

    2. The US military are planning to bomb Mount Kilauea (the erupting volcano in Hawaii) – to slow or divert the flowing lava. Maybe they will also lob a couple of missiles into the volcano vent as a rehearsal?

    3.  Notes to Self (week 74 of 104).  Here is a quick calculation: humans exhale about 3.65 billion metric tons of CO2 each year (arguably it is double that in 'net ppm effect' as humans will also have inhaled and absorbed a similar amount of oxygen), and human industry emits about 37 billion tons every year. I guess that once humans and our industry go, then earth and the remainder of our current range of other life forms may have a chance of survival.

There will be considerable crop failures this year or next year, leading to increased food prices next year or 2020.

This does not include the hundreds and hundreds of thousands of Whales that were slaughtered from the 17th century until almost the beginning of the 2nd WW.

This fact, just referring to a group of animals from marine ecosystems.

" Industrial whaling emerged with organized fleets in the 17th century; competitive national whaling industries in the 18th and 19th centuries; and the introduction of factory ships along with the concept of whale harvesting in the first half of the 20th century. By the late 1930s more than 50,000 whales were killed annually[2] In 1986, the International Whaling Commission (IWC) banned commercial whaling because of the extreme depletion of most of the whale stocks.[3] "

Notice that "they" call the Whales societies, of "whale stocks"…

Andrew, Food prices where I live as well as the price of every single thing have gone up a great deal.  And, products, both foods and otherwise, are not as good.  Berkeley is not Berkeley anymore.  So many people, so many vehicles, so many new, huge, ugly buildings but nowhere to house people in any affordable manor or at all even.  I have NO idea what all these buildings are for, but to pull a Trump.  We are living in hell already. But, it is a cold hell.  We've had a couple of hot days here, one night where I could not sleep owing to the heat.  My house is normally cold, feels air conditioned in summer, until the night for many decades now, but lately a hot day does not lead to a hot night.  Clear skies lead to hot days though.  Really hot it seems.  Severe clear, wall to wall blue.  Just amazing after all these many years.  Tad of heat, then they cool the place down.  Only thing I can think of is it is fake and because so very many rich ones moved here.  It IS annoying!  'They' can't stand 'bleeding  hearts' Berkeley peoples who, you know, care!  So, I think this cold here is for the money.  But gee, what does so much cooling cost?!  Maybe it is to urge the homeless to go other places.  These new people are shocked by the homeless people here.  Gee.  They don't know the half of it.  Huge homeless problems in America, and what all comes with, like Hep A.  Any homeless people in Scotland?  I am curious.  Always.

Love that you quoted Lau Tzu.  One of my most favorite of peoples.  On my front door, inside, I have a wee quote from him: "Without even going out of the door, one can know the whole world."  Never been more true than now, I imagine, but for point taken.

Thank you Andrew, your weekly posts mean a lot to many and me.

Thanks Rachel. Yes, plenty of homeless – particularly in cities. Rural areas are usually more tolerant and generous with food banks etc.

Uni-Hamburg amsr2 concentration map for Laptev and some of Kara/Barents for this melting season mar21-jun7(no data today).
Open water is often seen as prevailing winds and/or currents separate the more mobile sea ice from the land fast ice.
It is my understanding that amsr2 detects melt ponds as low concentration or open water at times. Other weather conditions may also be temporarily detected as low concentration ice. Examples of both can be seen in the animation.

Dane and ALL my friends I haven't met yet,

Wow, todays Global Alert News was quite impactful. The "Pacific Northwest" chemical cool down Dane spoke of is alive and real right now here at my cabin on the north Okanogan, Washington state. I haven't had a fire in weeks, but I sure have one tonight. I've documented a 28 degree F whiplash from Friday to today, Saturday. I suppose I should say "whip", the lash will be when the chemical ice nucleation effects wear off. "Why does it usually rain consistently at night?", "Not during the late afternoons like it used to?"

I am soooo proud of Tom Keith! Good job my flat lander friend!(grin). I get to say "flat lander" honestly. Most of my elder relatives came from Iowa, "Oskaloosa". The "family" farm is and has been a GMO factory for quite a while now. Tom, you and folks like Brian Nibley, Kathy  and Larry, Maciej and "Gem Faire" drive me forward… the list of active activists is growing exponentially. "WE" are the foundations others will stand upon. Thank you for making your voice heard.

Today I was told that the Puyallup Saturday Market is like doing a Gem Faire booth every week. It's huge! My dear friend and neighbor is in the middle of this weeks Puyallup market photo. I heard very nice things about the folks also pictured in the photo. Welcome aboard my friends I have not met yet. "Enjoy the ride", reach out!

It certainly is getting much harder to access information that had been previously accessible on the internet.  Yes, there has been lots of interference.  I want nothing to do with the world according to Facebook (NYTimes, WAPo, etc).  Sites that use FB comments quickly devolve into personal insult fests that go unmoderated, which seems by design.  No wonder the power structure wants to control the narrative and banish truth.  No wonder they want us all 'pacified' as in comatose.

"If There Is No Struggle, There is no Progress"  Frederick Douglass in 1857, "Power concedes nothing without a demand.  It never did and it never will."

"This struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, and it may be both moral and physical, but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress. In the light of these ideas, Negroes will be hunted at the North and held and flogged at the South so long as they submit to those devilish outrages and make no resistance, either moral or physical. Men may not get all they pay for in this world, but they must certainly pay for all they get. If we ever get free from the oppressions and wrongs heaped upon us, we must pay for their removal. We must do this by labor, by suffering, by sacrifice, and if needs be, by our lives and the lives of others."

If you go to Chuck Baldwin's site and take an even cursory look, the guy's a little odd…and so's the site. However, I certainly do believe that Israel and the U. S. are "joined at the hip" and are engaged in horrific endeavors. As far as Facebook is concerned, I've never trusted it and never really became involved. My sister, however,  spends hours on Facebook which truly mystifies me. But, moving on, apparently the growing season in St. George, Utah (the southern desert portion of the state) has a reduced growing season now of February through May. In the latter part of May I took temperature readings of over 130° F and in June, over 150° F in the sun. The only thing that has saved my small garden is the fact that each afternoon when the temperatures go over 100° F, I cover all my plants with a white mesh garden fabric and cool them with a fine water spray. I get excellent results with good soil and sheep manure. I have, however, seen fewer birds, including hummers, butterflies, flies, and no horned caterpillars (hate to say it, but thankfully, because they devoured my tomato and pepper plants in previous years.)

Articles from various science journals have discussed the association of loss of sea ice and glacial mass with the increased activity of volcanism. Apparently, ice mass compresses the earth's crust which in turn reduces the number of  volcanic eruptions, the volume of  released magna, and the extent of erupted materials. Just one more joyful additional problem to contemplate as the biosphere collapses.

They DO surveill EVERYTHING!!  Phone calls, where we go on the internet.  this info goes to local fusion centers and is eventually sent to the main storage facility – two huge buildings near Salt Lake City.  Israel have been recording our phone calls for DECADES….

    • Star Messenger says:

You are talking about the NSA storage center located in Utah.  Right?  It can store (when completed) TWO yottabytes of information.  And how big is a yottabyte?  I thought you would never ask.  A yottabyte is equal to one septillion bytes, or  (1024) or, 280 bytes.  I can't count that high even if I use all my fingers and toes.  The NSA is building an even bigger storage center in San Antonio, Texas.   And an even bigger yet storage center in New Jersey.   The Utah facility will cost 1.7 billion dollars.  The one in San Antonio will cost two billion dollars.  The New Jersey center is still in the development stage so no "estimated" price is available.  But you can bet it will run into "cost overruns" before it is completed if it is ever built.

    • Star Messenger says:

The size of the yottabytes I mentioned in a previous Post did not "translate" properly when I copied & pasted it to my comments.  So what is a yottabyte really?  The prefix yotta indicates multiplication by the eighth power of 1000 or 10²⁴ in the International System of Units, and therefore one yottabyte is one septillion bytes.

  54. Richard Bernier says:

National security is too often offered as a way to excuse military power abuses ,  injustice  and  government  all encompassing control and power. I think it is high time to examine this outdated concept and replace it by environmental security or maybe global security to give more power to the people and their environment which should be at the center of a policy of real security instead of  a red herring.

    • Star Messenger says:

Hey Richard, there is a term for such wishes.  It's called "Dream On".  Sorry, but that is just the way it is…and there is no stopping that trend.  If you were ever in the military you should know what I mean.  To the military money is like water.  It falls from the sky like rain and is free.

Climate Change Indicated in Forced Migration of 1.7 Million from Mekong Delta / robertscribbler
Global sea level rise caused by fossil fuel burning is an issue that is creating worsening impacts to cities, nations, and civilization itself. And according to recent reports out of Vietnam, 1.7 million people have migrated from the low-lying Mekong Delta region over the past decade. Primary causes included climate change and poverty.
(Sea level rise now threatens all low-lying regions with increased flooding, loss of crops, and, in some cases, forced migration. Recent reports indicate that hundreds of thousands have already left the Mekong delta as a result.)
Rising oceans have forced Vietnam to erect a system of dykes of up to 4 meters in height in an increasingly complex system of coastal defense barriers. These barriers have saved lands from inundation as the ocean off the low-lying Mekong Delta continues to rise year-after-year. However, the dykes have not prevented salt water from moving further and further up the Mekong River. And during recent years, this salt water has inundated soils used for rice production.
Such salt water inundation has wiped out crops for many farmers. For example, in the Soc Trang region, the farmers of Thang Dong saw their crops completely wiped out during 2013 as salt water seeped into the soil and killed off food-producing plants. In low-lying near coastal regions, the story has been much the same for Mekong farmers. And with less reliable crops come increasing poverty.

If you think it's bad that they will categorize news sources for control, what would you say if I told you the government records all calls under the guise of "national security?" Where did I hear that? Some YouTube video, and now I just googled "storing all cell phone calls." The point is that they build these huge digital facilities in the middle of nowhere with the ability to do this, so do you think they are doing it or not? Of course they can defend it by saying they need to track down terrorist plots as they develop. You always hear their reasons later. I can only picture that they have the ability to give a code number to each of us that describes our potential danger to the government. Imagine that they have every call you ever made or received, every email you ever wrote, and every site you ever visited. Imagine that power and I think you can understand why the world is the way it is.

      Hello, Dane.

I've listened now to your very important audio document, Thank you.

When I was a kid, many decades ago, I've lived near the shores of Iberian Peninsula. At that time, my mother made friendship with a lady 25 years older than her, that was born in the region near the beach.

I remember going to those beaches 45 years ago, and the beaches were more than 300 m wide at low tide. One day, my mother in conversation mentioned that the beaches in that region were so beautiful and with so much sand, and the lady said right away: so much sand? when I was a child we had a dune line with over 300 m wide and at low tide the beaches were at least two times wider than are today. At that time when the conversation happened, the dune line did not exist already.

In our current times, authorities import thousands of cubic meters of sand to re enforce protection to these shores, every year. In winter, sea water enter almost always inside the city, and destroys or cause damage to the restaurants near the shore.

Nowadays, the low tide in Summer in that region has 40 to 50 meters wide, max.

And this with the very expensive reinforcement of the shore line with all the sand I've mentioned.
