Northern California has had bone dry summer conditions for nearly six months. The climate engineers have finally allowed a very modest amount of moisture into the region, but how contaminated is this precipitation? In the meantime other regions of the country are being deluged. Extreme weather conditions are rapidly becoming the norm all over the world, infrastructure and crop collapse have increasingly been the result. Numerous nations are spiraling into societal famine scenarios, the US corporate media isn’t saying a word. How soon till famine comes to the US? Lockdowns are being ramped up all over the world, where do we go from here? The latest installment of Global Alert News is below.

All are needed in the critical battle to wake populations to what is coming, we must make every day count. Share credible data from a credible source, make your voice heard. Awareness raising efforts can be carried out from your own home computer.

"Conspiracy theory". That's how an ex-girlfriend characterized my reference to a massive sprayed trail in the sky right over us. By then I had already been visiting Geoengineeringwatch.org for years, had posted scores of comments, some quite long and involved. I had read virtually every essay, article, link, that Dane had on this site, including reading over half of the 1978 Congressional document pertaining to geoengineering protocols and governance.

In addition I had kept my eyes glued to the skies no matter where I went and was perpetually shocked to see obvious and irrefutable evidence of massive aerosol spraying that I never saw on such a scale when I was younger. Yet……yet……several of my closer friends, including my girlfriend, scoffed and ridiculed me, WHILE HAVING DONE ABSOLUTELY NO RESEARCH OF THEIR OWN ON ANY APPRECIABLE SCALE. This phenomenon never ceases to astound me….people who make judgments and pronouncements about something they literally know nothing about. I have since moved to Arizona and have encountered similar expressions of ignorance and stupidity here.

Several days ago, and for consecutive days at a time, the skies were crystal clear, not a trail, not a cloud, nothing. The last two or three days, however, reveal an absolute orgy of atmospheric spraying right over Tucson, with numerous parallel lines running east to west, zippered lines, fat spreading trails, opaque sheets of filth, etc. Yesterday a gigantic X hung right over my house and was so low I could have almost reached up and touched it. Hello? Yet…..we are all so blitzkreiged by bullshit, be it coronavirus-related theater, post-election nonsense, clawing out our living…..etc…..that most everyone has as much on their plate as they can handle already. Still, few seem to notice the radical disconnect pertaining to what occurs in the skies right over our heads.

Conspiracy theory? Right. Ok. Here's another one. Many who visit this site know that the US Military has been busted for conducting open-air spraying experiments on civilian populations beginning long ago, perhaps as early as the second war, but certainly thereafter and likely to the present day. Covertly, of course. It has been suggested that whatever is causing many of these "covid-like symptoms" among some of the population could realistically be the result of materials, (bio-agents, etc) being sprayed over major cities or regions. This is not farfetched at all. Though not verifiable, it does not rise to the level of conspiracy theory. Why? Because it is speculation based upon documented precedent….prior military spraying of civilian populations.

In fact, Dane has often speculated quite darkly that the geoengineers could change or alter the aerosols at will, to cause a wide range of health impacts on the general population. Anyone who accepts that atmospheric spraying is going on cannot rule out this possibility. And so…..now we are in the midst of some alleged viral "pandemic", complete with a story-line about it's origins, it's spread, it's behaviors, first wave/second wave/third wave…etc. Meanwhile Verizon runs multi-million-dollar commercials on national TV during NFL games proudly touting it's new 5G network that is going to make our lives sooo much better. Ah yes…..5G. What could possibly go wrong? Gee, might there be serious health impacts from massive bombardment by 5G-millimeter-wave technology? Isn't it just the strangest coincidence that 5G network rollout coincides with a global pandemic? Yes, I will concede the possibility that there is no correlation whatsoever. However, I cannot escape the gnawing doubt that massive global geoengineering, and subsequent ionization of the atmospheric, 5G and global health catastrophes are somehow intertwined, if not actually interdependent.

I could say more but I'll shut my pie-hole for now….namaste, folks..

  2. Matt Sarlo says:

I keep trying to spread the facts about SRM and how long all of these programs have been occurring. My own family does not believe me, even when presented with evidence. I can not believe how obtuse people are. I have lived in northern Colorado  by the footbills for almost 60 years. Why is that people can't see how radically the weatherhas changed, if they are my age or older? Their is too much ingrained programing in our society that everything will be fine. This rose colored glasses way of ignoring facts drives me  nuts. One member of my family told me we will learn to live without the ozone layer, and this was a highly educated person. It won't be much longer before these people will have to deal with the entire biosphere collasping.

    • Robert Driscoll says:

I live in Vancouver BC and they have been carpet bombing the sky here with chemtrails for at least 7 years is when I first saw a handbill on a lamp post about it and started looking up since then.

Most people are too burnt out / brain dead when it comes to what's happening to the environment / climate,  chemtrails included.

I've been following the climate thing for maybe 20 years now and we are in very serious trouble. But not if your are part of the power elite, things are developing as planned…

And part of the reason I say that is that globally recognized environmental writer Amitav Ghosh said this in a  DW video – 5 years old now – about glacier melt in Switzerland , interviewer, "So why do you think nothing has been done to lower emissions?" Ghosh, "The power elite have the best science money can buy and short of shutting down civilization completely they tell their paymasters there is no solution now except to let the climate collapse and kill off 90% of humanity. Really?

       Marshall McLuhan Quote

“Only the small secrets need to be protected. The big ones are kept secret by public incredulity.”

In other words, who would believe such rubbish? Or as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle once said, “How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?” Really?

I get my information from many sources and environmental / climate information along with the financial drivers behind it is what really catches my attention.

And we may have now passed the tipping point…

Prior to his passing in 2016 Stephen Hawking said this about Trumps eco policy, " “We are close to the tipping point where global warming becomes irreversible,” he said yesterday (July 2) in an interview with BBC News. “Trump’s action could push the Earth over the brink, to become like Venus, with a temperature of two hundred and fifty degrees, and raining sulphuric acid.” Really.

But don't worry because Dickhead Trump and his billionaire cabinet knows more than some idiot scientist, right?

And just by serendipity – to reinforce the Hawking prediction – I happened to watch an XR (Extinction Rebellion) interview with Myer Hillman Phd (sociology) who is 87, had a career advising governments around the world on how to alter bad trends and who said this, "This is the most important message I have ever delivered… "Climate change is now irreversible…"

And so if two great minds think alike so its all a bunch of crap right?

      Wrong, very fucking wrong unfortunately.

This pandemic that so many in public and the media liken to a rat in your basement and once we find a vaccine and we are impervious to this pest, we can go back to business as usual increasing those quarterly profits the lords of creation worship daily?

With C02 now at 420ppm or some such insane number?

Now we know what happens after 200 years of fractional reserve bubble nomics… you end up with 7 billion plus excess slaves living in perpetual debt to the 1% and a climate now in full blown feedback meltdown.

And now we know what happens whe you cross the red line of trashing the planet / climate – purely out of personal greed / wealth accumulation – … you get a global pandemic. Really? Yes really humans…

Think about this the next time you are day dreaming about your, or your children's future in some traffic jam somewhere…

Crop failures have been accelerating both in frequency and magnitude (just like climate fractures – fires /  floods everywhere etc) for at least five years now and will only get a lot worse in the near future with global surface temp at 1.3C now above pre industrial. For 30 years the IPCC has said a 2C rise will be catastrophic so we better aim for 1.5C…

And so where will billions of people get their food from or even just live when summer temperatures stay at 120 F / 50C plus for months on end and all the crops die in certain zones affecting… billions of people?

And crops elsewhere are only big enough to possibly sustain part of every other country's population?

The answer? To the next word because they all died of starvation.

And it is quite possible that there is NOTHING we can do NOW to stop it from happening.

I'm from Canada and was one of three Canadians who predicted a Trump win in '16, not because I'd vote for him but I just read the tea leaves so to speak.

I'm no psychic either, I just observe reality.

Its time to unite and overthrow the madmen who run this world…

       Happy Pandemic Earthlings…

Your so called leaders have betrayed you and the bankers who pay them off and finance the corporate destruction of this planet for profit could care fucking less if your children live or die in the coming ECOHOLOCAUST. Really? YES, REALLY.

  4. Anne says:

I am interested to know whether any others still see billions of stars–ever. ? I cannot estimate how long it has been since I have seen a dazzling starry sky. I live in Louisville, KY, USA. At the most I see 4 or 5 stars, and I don't believe I have even seen the big dipper in a long time. A friend said this is because we are in a city and the lights prevent seeing the starry night. Has anyone seen a massively starry sky? If so, how long ago and where do you live?

    • Steve Olsen says:

I was born where you live ,but I now live in Santa Cruz,Ca. and have been an avid  amateur astronomer for decades. To the west out over the ocean with less inherent light pollution on a clear moonless night it is still possible with the naked eye see the spiral arms of our own Milky Way Galaxy, and even the Andromeda Galaxy using averted vision. But the aerosol spraying  overhead even at night by the evil ones has me out there observing  half as much as even 10-15 years ago because of the degraded  sky transparency. . So now I get to  curse at the  climate engineer's mess in the sky both day and night!

    • Terry says:

Hi Anne – since mainstream media refuses to acknowledge that SRM is real and ongoing, you won't be able to find any mainstream news articles about the lack of starry nights that have increased over the past decades that acknowledges SAI. While light pollution is certainly a factor in the ability to see the stars, it is far from the only component to consider. Once again, I believe roads lead back to geoengineering.

The aerosols released from military and commercial aircraft reflect and scatter light. If you go outside at dark and shine a very bright flashlight up into the night sky, you will likely see a cascade of fine particulates raining down as a result of climate engineering. It's a sight to behold, and not the good kind. Polymers, aluminum, and who knows what else is often raining down on us all.

Like skylight from the sun, it stands to reason that artificial ground light will inevitably reflect, bounce and scatter off of aerosols, thus helping block our view of night sky.  Bear in mind that spraying also routinely occurs at sunset and during the night hours. And if the Gray Dome is up (days on end of skies with no blue to them during the day), of course we're probably not going to see any stars on those nights. We probably also shouldn't forget whatever whacky things HAARP and the plethora of cell phone towers are doing to the sky and our view of celestial objects once the sun has gone down.

I also live in Kentucky (northern Kentucky/the Cincinnati metropolitan area), though I live out in the country (approximately 21 miles southeast of downtown Cincinnati). Prior to SAI being ramped up to exceedingly high levels this century and last 10 years, our night skies were usually plastered with stars, especially in the wintertime. A 2016 article from "Vox" stated that 80 percent of Americans can no longer see the Milky Way. While the article correctly attributes light pollution, it unsurprisingly fails to mention aerosols or electrosmog. I feel good about the sky in my area if I can spot the Little Dipper and if I can see stars near the horizon after dusk. A small victory, perhaps, but in an industrial world injected with aerosols, I've learned to appreciate what I can, while still trying to save the living things with advocacy and action before the bell tolls.

    • ksw says:

Can see Milky Way from my driveway at 2nd home in town in West Sedona. New neighbor is from California and installed new outdoor lights which make seeing the stars difficult. Bummed because it was a childhood memory restored. She’s a self absorbed Californian and more interested in decor than honoring Dark Sky principles.

  5. Terry says:

In a world of disinformation, misinformation and lies, it's actually tonic for me to listen to Dane's weekly broadcasts, because they contain so much truth. Thanks again, Dane, for another highly insightful show, and to the community here; I am grateful for all the community's posts and read each of them. Everyone here is genuinely awake and compassionate, and that is something they can never take away from us, as long as we're breathing and doing our homework.

An electrical Hummer? Wow. Let's create a car that is dependent on the grid (and carbon fuels), and might also cook us with EMFs while we're inside of it — not that gasoline cars aren't capable of that either, many of them are; though perhaps somewhat ironically, some of the lowest EMF cars you can drive are certain Mercedes diesel cars from circa 1981-85 (300 SD and 300 D). Of course, then there's the issue of toxic emissions created from driving a diesel. Perhaps the Amish had it right all along.

I can certainly relate to the challenge of attempting to live off of solar, wind and hydro, as mentioned in this week's broadcast. Solar is a pipe dream in my neck of the woods, and while wind shouldn't be, it now is as well. We actually had some gusts last night and today in the Cincinnati metropolitan area/northern Kentucky/Ohio River Valley, which we have sorely been missing. I have noticed an overall lack of wind much of this year in this area, likely another result of geoengineering. We also somehow have water in our creeks (likely toxic), and the droplet size explains everything. We've experienced little to no real rain for months. Mystery solved. I'm pretty sure "drizzle" wasn't in the local weatherman's vocabulary 20 years ago, now it's regularly part of the script they read. When I hear "drizzle" I assume aerosol, as that's generally what it ends up being.

I walked outside right after dark tonight, and saw a shooting star. I cherish the starry nights when we get them, and the blue skies when we get them. Some blue is better than none at all. Some sun is better than the Grey Dome. We may have an uphill battle, though I still manage to remember gratitude, no matter how bleak. Love and strength to all here, let's keep fighting the good fight. Don't be discouraged by friends or family who are too far gone, or simply willfully blind. I've found it's better to just be kind and move on to those who might have eyes and ears. As the Chinese philosopher Chuang Tzu once put it, "a frog in a well cannot be talked to about the sea."

  6. Danny San says:

What Dane W. says is the way I feel ! I thought about running and leaving the country where i was born and have children and relatives but I feel the same as Dane. I cannot leave and run. It is live free or die. Our real Mother is the entire planet not just certain countries that eventually will be all be under the black hand. My Father, sadly misguided about what patriotism was supposed to be, died at the age of 24 in the second war He was ever in, in 1951. I am against all war profiteering. Now We are the enemy. it's up to us for change.Where their is life their is hope.

  7. FieldMouse says:

We need full 100% transparency about geoengineering … and everything else.
No secrets = No wars.  Try to envision a world in which there is total political and governmental transparency, while preserving personal privacy.

Think of the vast military budget of this country, which now stands at about 40% of global military spending … try to visualize that money being spent on healing the skies, healing the land and oceans, healing the people.   But no, the War Machine is looking for 'enemies' and creating them when there are none to be found.  Russia for instance spends only 3% of the total global expenditure, yet they are continually demonized and taunted by US Warmongers who profit from endless wars.  Follow the money – Russia has vast land and resources. They only want secure borders and to be left in peace.

I had my hopes up with the disclosures of Wikileaks, but now that Julian Assange is dying in a dungeon in London to set an example, that hope fades. But at least he tried.  Dane tries, and has my utmost admiration and respect.

What would we hear about geoengineering in a world of total transparency?  That they did it to slow global warming?  That they did it to cull the population? That it had to be kept secret because the situation was so dire –  that for the public to know would disolve the current paradigm overnight and catapult the people into a panic?  So be it.  If that's the reason, we deserve to know, so that we can deal with it on both a physical and energetic level.  How do we shed the yoke of deception and face the reality of our situation?
With truth and transparency, chipping away the facade of lies bit by bit, day  by day, as a spiritual practice, as if our lives and the life of our precious planet depended on it.

Dane, thank you for all that you do, and your continual inspiration.

  8. Earth Angel says:

Another weekly broadcast so brutally honest it almost takes my breath away. Dane, I both hear and feel the urgency and desperation in your voice especially toward the end of today's message. I visited a venue which began as a 300 acre private family estate in 1980 which over the course of the last 30 odd years has been turned into a public garden with seasonal exhibits of 220 acres of landscaped gardens adjacent to spring fed streams and ponds surrounded by hillsides of mature north Georgia forests. Although I have lived only a few miles from this place for 28 years, today was the first time I ever visited it. It was a coolish but sunny day with very heavy spray operations overhead leaving X's and expanding trails everywhere. I mentioned it casually to the family members I was with, without much reaction by them. I wondered how many, if any of the hundreds of people walking around there snapping pictures here, there, and everywhere had a clue as to the destructive and deadly operations taking place overhead. I wondered if any others noticed the declining health or other oddities such as dead trees, japanese maples with both red and green leaves on them in mid- November, or ferns and hostas with yellowed and brown withered leaves? I know it is November and time for leaves to wither and fall- but to me there was a strangeness amidst the beauty of some of the reds, yellows, scarlets, burgundys and the greens of conifers and other plants there. We have not yet had a significant freeze or frost here yet. Everyone from who knows where walking around oohing and aahing, probably not looking up at all. As we walked back to the car I saw a small boy about 6 yrs. old holding his parents hand looking back and pointing up to the sky. It sounded to me like he was speaking in a foreign language and both his mother and father were standing looking a bit perplexed at the trails above us all. I hurriedly pulled out a geoengineeringwatch business card from my purse and rushed to catch up with them as they turned to go and pressed it into the woman's hand pointing at the lines in the sky. They accepted the card and her husband spoke a word or two of acknowledgment, I think in english. I thought to myself, out of all these people here, and only this small boy has eyes to see and to question. Thank God for him! I hope his parents go home and do their research. I had not expected that opportunity to present itself, albeit a small one. I left there feeling like the trip had been worthwhile. Who knows how many people they might yet reach?

  9. Robert says:

Very good article and very true also, big thanks 🙂

  10. RandylJ says:

Greetings Mighty Dane and I continue to salute your gargantuan efforts to raise awareness in this never-ending battle of planetary mass destruction and distractions!!!

I am here weekly; and rarely ever miss a broadcast, which I forward via texts to close family members, with notes to “get courageous and face reality”, despite their amusement towards the minute part I play.

I’m now included within a ‘top-rated-for-culling group’, (known by titles of Septuagenarians and early Baby Boomers). I count my days in Moments and hope that whenever and wherever I land in the ‘Great Beyond’, I will be blessed by having Minds like Dane’s, near to me!

So I’m going to contain my ‘rants’ to Bananas in this post. The so-obviously-directed path of named storm ‘ETA’, tore through a huge ‘population’ of banana groves, destroying more than half of the Honduran banana production this past week. Thus, we see another country with an important crop asset lost! And between bananas and avocados- it’s a toss up as to which I treasure most. Both are mainstays in my diet. It doesn’t take a genius to connect these dots and see how, like the dinosaurs of old, extinction is on the horizon.

Thanks to Dane, at least I can know and share weekly, a window open to clarity! God Bless You ongoing Dane!

  11. Susan says:

Here we are in mid-November after a week-long cold snap with temperatures into the teens…and still the trees can't let go of their dead, crispy leaves. Then comes a snow "storm" that dumps a foot of snow on top of these poor trees. I tell the kids on the playground not to eat the snow, but they do it anyway…and I cringe to think what they're ingesting. And after a blue sky morning, here comes a massive bank of "cloud" cover which is nothing more than aerosol dispersions drifting in from the south…with a forecast that "could" bring snow in some areas, even though it's 45 degrees outside.

I recently read a blog post from a relatively well-known woman who was openly discussing biosphere collapse and the end of life on earth. She made comments about geoengineering being a questionable proposal. I don't get it. How could her entire post be so right-on about the unfolding collapse, yet she doesn't know that geoengineering has been going on for decades? Don't these people spend any time outside? Anyone who does, who watches the sky, can't help but see the trails turning the sky white! I wrote to her and steered her to current, accurate information on the subject: geoengineeringwatch.org. Don't know if she'll look, but she might.

If it weren't for Dane, and the few folks who post here, I'd feel completely alone in facing the truth. I repeatedly ask myself, "why me?" Why am I the only one who can see truths that seem so obvious to me, while none of my educated friends and family will not even discuss it? I got rid of my television in 1974 and haven't had one since. I read a lot. I ask questions.  A lot of people have been sucking from the corporate media nipple their entire lives and are simply brainwashed, unable to think critically. What a masterful job of total manipulation and control, just like in the movie, The Matrix. We need a "red pill," not a vaccination!

Thank you, Dane, for your courage, and thank you to all who post here. I so look forward to hearing from you each week.

    • Jesse says:

You are not alone Suzanne,a large amount of people have intentionally blocked themselves off from our society years ago because they could see where it was headed.always look for the silver lining the current situation will be forcing people to realize the larger situation.

as long as we are here there is hope!

      god bless

  12. Jonathan Oquinn says:

Please repeat broadcast for becoming more and more dire, which is certainly in line with what's actually happening in the world. People should look at Jesse Ventura's interview with Dr Rima on his old TV show. She was told by a patient of hers who is a member of the elite that they were almost ready to begin with this person told her was called, the Great culling. I carry a card in my wallet that I purchase from her website, which is signed by me and withhold all consent to all vaccines forever. Her husband is absolutely right about the deep underground military bases. Dr. Richard Sauder has several excellent books on the deep underground military bases. I have been studying this subject for years. I have interviewed many people on this subject, though informally. The majority of the best information I got was received when I played Dumb and asked innocent sounding questions to people who were truck drivers who had had contracts with DHS. It was amazing what some of them told me. Dane is absolutely right on all points!

Remember what Senator Daniel Inouye said many years ago about the shadow government. These are the people who brought you the false flags that Dane often refers to, not the least of which was 911. And for those who are holding out hope that mr. Trump is going to be Vindicated by the Supreme Court, remember that Brett Kavanaugh was one of the architects of the Patriot Act.

Remember also the quote from JRR Tolkien, that the only thing we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us. Make everyday count! At the same time, also take time for your own physical and mental well-being. Without this, there is little any of us could do.

I also want to tell you something about North Carolina. The chief medical officer of my local hospital provided updated statistics for North Carolina for covid-19, about two weeks ago. When I crunch the numbers, taking into account what the CDC has said on record about the 6% of cases that are actually fatal with the virus all by itself, I came up with a case fatality rate and 0.09 6% for North Carolina. Yes, 94% of cases of covid-19 deaths involve Medical comorbidities. But only 6% are the deaths from covid-19 RD exclusively to the virus by itself. 0.09 6% is the actual fatality rate of the virus in North Carolina the bus far, at least unless or until a more virulent strain is released. This number does not come close to comparing too many other causes of death in our country, such as heart disease cancer and so forth. These numbers in no way justify locking down Society. This is part of an ever-increasing implementation of the globalist agenda.

I different no, at the same time that we are undergoing such rapid changes in our society, and during a time in human history when we are being faced with so many challenges from so many different directions, please remember not only be kind to yourself but to be kind to others. I would submit that part of the meaning of life is not only to learn and to grow as human beings, but also to share love. Remember to show love to everyone, people plants and animals. Without getting into any religious Dogma, I would submit that the Creator is the Lord Over All. Blessings to you all.

    • Jonathan Oquinn says:

Everyone, please forgive my typos. I do not have access to my desktop computer in the weekends, which is for the few times I have time to reply to the thoughts expressed in these weekly broadcasts. My cell phone does not run the program well to display and navigate through this website. It alright that's lots of typos on a good day but it really does not like this particular website for some reason. So please forgive the typos everyone, thank you. Read between the words.  ;+)

    • Paul Strand says:

      Yes!  Amen!  Keep the faith!

    • Jesse says:

It's to bad Jesse Ventura had a corporate schill on when he did his geoenginering denial video,he lost all credibility from me with his one sided reporting.

  13. Gary Morrow says:

God bless Dane for his work with wounded veterans. WW1 veteran and author of All Quiet On The Western Front Erich Maria Remarque described his experiences in the Great War.

On the next floor below are the abdominal and spine cases, head wounds and double amputations. On the right side of the wing are the jaw wounds, gas cases, nose, ear and neck wounds. On the left, the blind and lung wounds, pelvis wounds, wounds in the joints, wounds in the kidneys, wounds in the testicles wounds in the intestines. Here a man realizes for the first time how many places a man can get hit. A hospital alone shows what war is. I am young, I am twenty years old, yet all I know of life is despair, death, fear, and fatuous superficiality cast over an abyss of sorrow. I see how peoples are set against one another, and in silence, unknowingly, foolishly, obediently slay one another. I see that the keenest brains of the world invent weapons and words to make it yet more refined and enduring.

  14. V. Susan Ferguson says:

American Requiem / By Chris Hedges

However inequitable its bias, capitalist democracy at least offered the possibility of incremental and piecemeal reform. Now it is a corpse.
November 06, 2020 "Information Clearing House" – Well, it’s over. Not the election. The capitalist democracy. However biased it was towards the interests of the rich and however hostile it was to the poor and minorities, the capitalist democracy at least offered the possibility of incremental and piecemeal reform. Now it is a corpse. The iconography and rhetoric remain the same. But it is an elaborate and empty reality show funded by the ruling oligarchs — $1.51 billion for the Biden campaign and $1.57 billion for the Trump campaign — to make us think there are choices. There are not. The empty jousting between a bloviating Trump and a verbally impaired Joe Biden is designed to mask the truth. The oligarchs always win. The people always lose. It does not matter who sits in the White House.
America is a failed state. “The American Dream … supplies the world with its nightmares now.” There were many actors that killed America’s open society. The corporate oligarchs who bought the electoral process, the courts and the media, and whose lobbyists write the legislation to impoverish us and allow them to accumulate obscene amounts of wealth and unchecked power. The militarists and war industry that drained the national treasury to mount futile and endless wars that have squandered some $7 trillion and turned us into an international pariah. The CEOs, raking in bonuses and compensation packages in the tens of millions of dollars, that shipped jobs overseas and left our cities in ruins and our workers in misery and despair without a sustainable income or hope for the future. The fossil fuel industry that made war on science and chose profits over the looming extinction of the human species.
The press that turned news into mindless entertainment and partisan cheerleading. The intellectuals who retreated into the universities to preach the moral absolutism of identity politics and multiculturalism while turning their backs on the economic warfare being waged on the working class and the unrelenting assault on civil liberties. And, of course, the feckless and hypocritical liberal class that does nothing but talk, talk, talk. If there is one group that deserves our deepest contempt it is the liberal elites, those who posture as the moral arbiters of society while abandoning every value they purportedly hold the moment they become inconvenient. The liberal class, once again, served as pathetic cheerleaders and censors for a candidate and a political party that in Europe would be considered on the far-right. Even while liberals were being ridiculed and dismissed by Biden and by the Democratic Party hierarchy, which bizarrely invested its political energy in appealing to Republican neocons, liberals were busy marginalizing journalists, including Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi, who called out Biden and the Democrats. The liberals, whether at The Intercept or The New York Times, ignored or discredited information that could hurt the Democratic Party, including the revelations on Hunter Biden’s laptop. It was a stunning display of craven careerism and self-loathing.
The Democrats and their liberal apologists are, the election has illustrated, oblivious to the profound personal and economic despair sweeping through this country. They stand for nothing. They fight for nothing. Restoring the rule of law, universal health care, banning fracking, a Green New Deal, the protection of civil liberties, the building of unions, the preservation and expansion of social welfare programs, a moratorium on evictions and foreclosures, the forgiveness of student debt, stiff environmental controls, a government jobs program and guaranteed income, financial regulation, opposition to endless war and military adventurism were once again forgotten. Championing these issues would have resulted in a Democratic Party landslide. But since the Democratic Party is a wholly owned subsidiary of corporate donors, promoting any policy that might foster the common good, diminish corporate profits and restore democracy, including imposing campaign finance laws, was impossible. Biden’s campaign was utterly bereft of ideas and policy issues, as if he and the Democrats could sweep the elections by promising to save the soul of America. At least the neofascists have the courage of their demented convictions.
… The promises of the fascists are fantastic and unrealistic, but their critiques of the liberal class are grounded in truth. Once the liberal class ceases to function, it opens a Pandora’s box of evils that are impossible to contain.
… The refusal of the liberal class to acknowledge that power has been wrested from the hands of citizens by corporations, that the Constitution and its guarantees of personal liberty have been revoked by judicial fiat, that elections are nothing more than empty spectacles staged by the ruling elites, that we are on the losing end of the class war, has left it speaking and acting in ways that no longer correspond to reality. … Populations can endure the repression of tyrants, as long as these rulers continue to effectively manage and wield power. But human history has amply demonstrated that once those in positions of power become redundant and impotent, yet retain the trappings and privileges of power, they are brutally discarded. … … We are in for it. The for-profit health care system, designed to make money — not take care of the sick — is unequipped to handle a national health crisis. The health care corporations have spent the last few decades merging and closing hospitals, and cutting access to health care in communities across the nation to increase revenue — this, as nearly half of all front-line workers remain ineligible for sick pay and some 43 million Americans have lost their employee-sponsored health insurance.  The pandemic, without universal health care, which Biden and the Democrats have no intention of establishing, will continue to rage out of control. … The economic fallout from the pandemic, the chronic underemployment and unemployment — close to 20 percent when those who have stopped looking for work, those furloughed with no prospect of being rehired and those who work part-time but are still below the poverty line are included in the official statistics — will mean a depression unlike anything we have seen since the 1930s.
Hunger in US households has already tripled since last year. The proportion of US children who are not getting enough to eat is 14 times higher than last year. Food banks are overrun. The moratorium on foreclosures and evictions has been lifted while over 30 million destitute Americans face the prospect of being thrown into the street.

There is no check left on corporate power. The inevitable social unrest will see the state, no matter who is in the White House, use its three principle instruments of social control — wholesale surveillance, the prisons and militarized police — buttressed by a legal system that routinely revokes habeas corpus and due process, to ruthlessly crush dissent. People of color, immigrants and Muslims will be blamed and targeted by our native fascists for the nation’s decline. The few who continue in defiance of the Democratic Party to call out the crimes of the corporate state and the empire will be silenced.  …

  15. V. Susan Ferguson says:

End the Government’s War on America’s Military Veterans
    By John W. Whitehead
November 10, 2020 "Information Clearing House" –  The 2020 presidential election may be over, but nothing has really changed.
The U.S. government still poses the greatest threat to our freedoms.
More than terrorism, more than domestic extremism, more than gun violence and organized crime, even more than the perceived threat posed by any single politician, the U.S. government remains a greater menace to the life, liberty and property of its citizens than any of the so-called dangers from which the government claims to protect us.
This threat is especially pronounced for America’s military veterans, especially that portion of the population that exercises their First Amendment right to speak out against government wrongdoing.
Consider: we raise our young people on a steady diet of militarism and war, sell them on the idea that defending freedom abroad by serving in the military is their patriotic duty, then when they return home, bruised and battle-scarred and committed to defending their freedoms at home, we often treat them like criminals merely for exercising those rights they risked their lives to defend.
The government even has a name for its war on America’s veterans: Operation Vigilant Eagle.
As first reported by the Wall Street Journal, this Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program tracks military veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and characterizes them as extremists and potential domestic terrorist threats because they may be “disgruntled, disillusioned or suffering from the psychological effects of war.”
Coupled with the DHS’ dual reports on Rightwing and Leftwing “Extremism,” which broadly define extremists as individuals, military veterans and groups “that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely,” these tactics bode ill for anyone seen as opposing the government.
Yet the government is not merely targeting individuals who are voicing their discontent so much as it is taking aim at individuals trained in military warfare.
Don’t be fooled by the fact that the DHS has gone extremely quiet about Operation Vigilant Eagle.
Where there’s smoke, there’s bound to be fire.
And the government’s efforts to target military veterans whose views may be perceived as “anti-government” make clear that something is afoot.
In recent years, military servicemen and women have found themselves increasingly targeted for surveillance, censorship, threatened with incarceration or involuntary commitment, labeled as extremists and/or mentally ill, and stripped of their Second Amendment rights.
An important point to consider, however, is that under the guise of mental health treatment and with the complicity of government psychiatrists and law enforcement officials, these veterans are increasingly being portrayed as threats to national security.
In light of the government’s efforts to lay the groundwork to weaponize the public’s biomedical data and predict who might pose a threat to public safety based on mental health sensor data (a convenient means by which to penalize certain “unacceptable” social behaviors), encounters with the police could get even more deadly, especially if those involved have a mental illness or disability coupled with a military background.
That the government is using the charge of mental illness as the means by which to immobilize (and disarm) these veterans is diabolical. With one stroke of a magistrate’s pen, these veterans are being declared mentally ill, locked away against their will, and stripped of their constitutional rights.
If it were just being classified as “anti-government,” that would be one thing.
Unfortunately, anyone with a military background and training is also now being viewed as a heightened security threat by police who are trained to shoot first and ask questions later.
Feeding this perception of veterans as ticking time bombs in need of intervention, the Justice Department launched a pilot program in 2012 aimed at training SWAT teams to deal with confrontations involving highly trained and often heavily armed combat veterans.
    The result?
Police encounters with military veterans often escalate very quickly into an explosive and deadly situation, especially when SWAT teams are involved.
Given the government’s increasing view of veterans as potential domestic terrorists, it makes one think twice about government programs encouraging veterans to include a veterans designation on their drivers’ licenses and ID cards.
Hailed by politicians as a way to “make it easier for military veterans to access discounts from retailers, restaurants, hotels and vendors across the state,” it will also make it that much easier for the government to identify and target veterans who dare to challenge the status quo.
After all, no one is spared in a police state.
Eventually, as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, we all suffer the same fate.
It stands to reason that if the government can’t be bothered to abide by its constitutional mandate to respect the citizenry’s rights—whether it’s the right to be free from government surveillance and censorship, the right to due process and fair hearings, the right to be free from roadside strip searches and militarized police, or the right to peacefully assemble and protest and exercise our right to free speech—then why should anyone expect the government to treat our nation’s veterans with respect and dignity
It’s time to end the government’s war on the American people, and that includes military veterans.
Certainly, veterans have enough physical and psychological war wounds to overcome without adding the government to the mix. Although the U.S. boasts more than 20 million veterans who have served in World War II through the present day, large numbers of veterans are impoverished, unemployed, traumatized mentally and physically, struggling with depression, suicide, and marital stress, homeless, subjected to sub-par treatment at clinics and hospitals, and left to molder while their paperwork piles up within Veterans Administration offices.
At least 60,000 veterans died by suicide between 2008 and 2017.
On average, 6,000 veterans kill themselves every year, and the numbers are on the rise.

The plight of veterans today—and their treatment at the hands of the U.S. government—remains America’s badge of shame.
So here’s a suggestion: if you really want to do something to show your respect and appreciation for the nation’s veterans, why not skip the parades and the flag-waving and instead go exercise your rights—the freedoms that those veterans swore to protect—by pushing back against the government’s tyranny.
It’s time the rest of the nation did its part to safeguard the freedoms we too often take for granted.
