Social unrest and societal division have become the themes of the day. The reality we formerly knew seems increasingly distant. While all eyes are understandably focused on the increasingly draconian lockdown rules and regulations, climate and environmental collapse are becoming exponential. Record shattering and relentless heat is baking the US West while other parts of the country are scheduled to be unseasonably cool. Geoengineering operations are the core causal factor that is creating the freeze/fry extremes, severely affecting crop production all over the world. How long till store shelves empty out? The latest installment of Global Alert News is below.

Our individual efforts to peacefully stand against the insanity matters much more than is yet visible. All are needed in the critical battle to wake populations to what is coming, we must make every day count. Share credible data from a credible source, make your voice heard. Awareness raising efforts can be carried out from your own home computer.

Geoengineering Watch extends our deepest thanks to Dr. Jonathan O'Quinn for his efforts to raise awareness of climate engineering at the East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina (8/15/20).

Geoengineering Watch printed awareness raising materials were just mailed out to a total of 250 Washington State fire stations and fire marshals. We wish to express our most sincere gratitude to Larry and Kathy Burns for this very important effort to help sound the alarm.

Our most sincere thanks to Mike Torrence for his ongoing efforts to raise awareness at the Tonasket Farmers' Market in Washington State (8/13/20).

For those that have not yet seen our recent post on “The Dimming”, it is a groundbreaking documentary that is currently in production. This documentary film will provide answers and proof of the ongoing climate engineering / weather warfare operations. Below is a 4+ minute trailer on the upcoming film.

A tremendous ‘Thank You’ to Dane who is probably seeing the awful first hand effects of this unthinkable Climate Engineering, at close range this week. My heart goes out to You, Dane. And Thank You to my fellow North Carolina GEW buddy, Jonathan O’Quinn who has truly inspired me to KOKO. Those of us who’ve been around this life a bit longer than many, have truly never seen anything like this; the entire scenario of spraying, lab-created viruses, weather manipulations, and ongoing overall human misery. And as if That isn’t enough, now it appears as though Ratheon is symbolically writing a script for a movie scenario with the possible combining of two tropical storms into one massive hurricane along the Gulf coast. It’s definitely surreal, however, those of us who have followed Dane’s videos and taken the opportunity to learn what IS real over what is not, Know that teaching others with factual materials is the only way that change may occur. I had the opportunity last week to share one of the Geoengineering: A Chronicle of Indictment, Fact & Photo Summary booklets (thank you to Dr. O’Quinn for sending me these materials.) A young man was in the neighborhood sharing life insurance and when I waved, he stopped to talk. He was very interested in GEW. You never know who might be! I don’t get out much like I used to, but here was someone willing to listen ‘on my doorstep’. So as I like to say, KOKO – Keep On Keeping On. It Will ‘connect those dots’ for someone, somewhere! And yes, the spraying over Central North Carolina, is ongoing and combined with microwave and Gulf Air, I have seen the most amazing Thunderclouds that resemble ones I saw growing up in Rockies! But these don’t move, bring a storm front, or do anything. They are definitely engineered and sit in place, like Confused Warriors Without a Cause. Perhaps those who are part of the spraying activites can be awakened to that similarity.

    Dane and ALL,

There's one thing I see sticking out more and more as the year 2020 rolls out, "you sure can tell who is doing things just because everyone else is doing those things". How sad it is that the collective has become so reliant on what "everyone else is doing" and not doing enough thinking for themselves. I've always thought it worth pondering the euphemism or story of asking little Johnny what he wants to be when he grows up and little Johnny replies, "I want to find out who I already am!" Kind of rolls with finding out what you're made of, right?

It was market day today. I'm proud to state that I have never had an unsuccessful one. 4 years in the same spot, week after week. I'm kind of like the second grade teacher that everyone had for 2 or 3 generations at the same school. At the rate the world is spinning, I may as well be!(grin).  Love and strength to ALL.

  3. Jonathan O'Quinn says:

I was thinking about you all this evening. I was chatting with a fellow GeoWatch friend, Randyl

A subject came up that I think has implications for what we are doing in this educational movement. The subject is that of Core Belief Systems.

This is related to cognitive dissonance, in which a person is presented with information that conflicts with their deeply-held core beliefs, and their brain reacts by shutting down because it cannot process the information, because it is uncomfortable. Recall that Dane has often talked about the fact that the sign of a healthy intellect is the ability to assimilate and process information even when it is uncomfortable and May challenge some of the beliefs that we have previously held.

Belief systems are nothing more than things that people have chosen to believe. Most people have very strong convictions in terms of their beliefs on certain subjects, and that can be on any subject imaginable. It is an interesting phenomenon of human nature disease convictions, these core beliefs if you will, need not necessarily be based upon fact or truth. I encountered this talking with a family member tonight as we were talking about covid-19. The point that I want to make is that nothing that we can say to anybody will be likely to change their core beliefs. This is on any subject about which somebody has a strong emotional investment. I have had numerous cases or I have shared information Through The Years with different people, only to find that they reacted with either complete indifference to me or in some cases lashed out and attacked me.

The reason I say this is to encourage everyone not to get upset or disappointed if people don't seem to react in the way that we would like them to when we share information about weather modification and related subjects. I hope that everybody will understand what I'm talking about here. By sharing this, I am emphasizing what Dane always tells us…. that from our standpoint, the number one single most important thing we can do is to share credible information with others. The easiest way to do this is to share links from his website or printed materials from this website. Let those things speak for you.

If people have questions, they can then come back to you and ask those questions, and you can give them more information. But please understand that you will likely not be able to change anybody's core beliefs by anything that you say. The Silver Lining In This Cloud is the fact of how incredibly powerful the information is that Dane is sharing in these materials and on this website…. please do not be discouraged if people do not seem to reply or respond to you in the way that you would like. Just focus on getting the information to them, and let the information speak for itself. I occasionally since some discouragement and negativity among some of the GeoWatch Community here.

That is certainly understandable, and I have experienced it many times. However, my hope is that reading this will prove to be encouraging to everybody. I keep using that word again and again. That word is so important here. We must never give up and must never lose our faith in what we are doing. We are all in our own separate ways and in our own individual spheres of influence, all working on the side of the solution and not of the problem.

I also want to add an update on the ROTC situation at our local University. The East Carolina University student I have recently mentioned reached out to his ROTC Commander and got permission to share geoengineering watch materials with his military brothers and sisters. The only stipulation given was that the military cannot be seen as endorsing this material.

To allow him to remain safely anonymous and free of any potential retaliation for being associated with this movement in his particular field, he and I are working on arranging a specific time and place when I will do the distribution so that he does not have so worried about any potential problems from anybody in the military. Dane is providing the materials for this upcoming distribution.

    Be encouraged!

The ppl in the choir sort of half chuckled, then ignored the topic and moved on to something else.

Methane Hydrates Tipping Point threatens to get crossed

The July 2020 ocean temperature anomaly on the Northern Hemisphere was 1.11°C or 2°F above the 20th century average, the highest July anomaly on record. The yellow circles onthe image below are July data and red circles are data for other months.

    Ocean Heat

Meanwhile, global heating continues and more than 90% of global heating is going into oceans.

Arctic sea ice is getting very thin and, at this time of year, it is melting rapidly, due to heat entering the Arctic Ocean from above, from the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, and from rivers that end in the Arctic Ocean.

Arizona's monsoon season begins in June and continues through September. In June the lying media started conditioning us to be prepared, monsoons are coming, are you ready? And the utilities sent out information on how to prepare. Be scared cause they're coming! I, have not seen any rain since March 11th and March 18th. We had a 70% chance of rain on April 8th, that turned out to be 0. Since when does 70% equal 0?

Right now the sky is so filthy white, an Ozone Alert Day, aka: (white smog alert) it burns your lungs like the brown air in Southern California in the 60's, and I'm not exerting any energy.

I don't wear a mask in the big box stores. I get a few angry looks, and I don't care. If people aren't comfortable with the protection they've chosen, then maybe they should order a gas mask or stay home and order online. I am not wearing a mask for something less deadly than the flu. Sorry, and I'm not going along with the agenda, and make no mistake, it's an agenda, as in 2030, and it looks like Little Billy's in charge of getting the P number's down. If you've seen his equation then you know what I mean!

When the solution (the vaccine) to their fabricated problem rolls around, I've decided to donate mine to someone less fortunate, who wants it a lot more than I do!

Stop going along with their mandates, rules, codes, policies, they are not laws! Write your own, or find online a Notice of Liability, and hold any shop owner, store employee or your employer liable for any mask related injury and all the medical costs that occur. This is how we fight back. Notice them!

  7. jonathan o'quinn says:

    Good morning everyone,

This morning I had a Dermatology appointment. I found myself talking with the receptionist, and before I knew it, we were talking about recent events in the news, of which Dane has been teaching so many. I told her some things a physician friend of mine and I had learned about viruses and the immune system. As I was checking out, she came up to me and asked for more information. I mailed her what she asked for- the vaccine information handout that  I was adding to the GW materials at ECU over the weekend, adding to it a GeoWatch 2-sided flyer. I included a letter to her explaining the relationship between weather modification and Dermatology, explaining the ozone damage that we have learned about and its relationship to increasing UVC levels, and I included my email address in case she wishes to discuss these things further.

Yesterday between patients I went downtown and dropped off GW materials at the public library, and local park benches and businesses, including a public information stand at the reading room of a local book store.

Just a few suggestions as to ways we can find opportunities to share GeoWatch information with people.

    Be encouraged!

Look the storm in the eye,

It's existed globally for about twenty years.

Correct also on the AI being the only way anything gets done; Nobody's home.

And , the UV here in NE Ohio has been ridiculous and increasing with each passing day.

      Always enjoy your comments.

Clearly, you are a degenerate conspiracy theorist 😉

And , likely a one percenter.

      Take care,

    • Jonathan Oquinn says:

      Dear Penny,

You're welcome. Don't lose heart my friend. Yes, we live in a crazy world that makes The Twilight Zone seem normal.

Yet…. I want to encourage you to stay centered and to never lose your inner joy…. Never give that away to anyone, even the elite gobbling uglies (what an apt phrase!).

I would submit that life does not begin at Birth, nor does it end at Death.

If I may, I would like to use an example or two from nature to encourage you and give you hope in these seemingly discouraging times. I have been impressed with finding so many examples of wisdom and knowledge in the animal kingdom and the plant kingdom. Look at the caterpillar forming a cocoon or a chrysalis before turning into a moth or a butterfly. Look at a spider weaving a web and know exactly how to do this even upon hatching. Look at the way flowers are designed to attract specific pollinators, and fruit is designed to attract certain animals that didn't consume the seeds and spread them elsewhere. There's so many other examples. Look at the way that hydrogen bonding as it is called leads water to form droplets like the Dew on the grass in the morning. Everything in nature is perfectly in order. I wrote a poem a couple years ago describing my feelings about this. I wrote that Nature's default settings are peace and Order. Without getting into any spiritual Dogma, I would submit that there is a creative Essence to the universe behind all of this. In other words, there is more to life than meets the eye. There is something bigger at play here that we can sometimes see. Is the intention with which we pursue our goals for good did Alex really makes the greatest difference. Whether we are entirely successful or not is another matter. By being a part of this community and being sensitive to life, as I can tell that you are, you are already working on the side of the solution and not the size of the problem. I bless you and encourage you!

    • Jonathan Oquinn says:

      Dear Penny,

I was thinking how I might encourage you further and was reminded of something I recently read. It has application to all of us in the GeoWatch community, so may I please offer this as an anecdote to All here as we each do what we can to work on the side of the Solution and not of the Problem?

      Here goes….

A Traveler in ancient Greece had lost his way and, seeking to find it, asked directions of a man by the roadside, who turned out to be Socrates. "How can I reach Mt. Olympus?" asked the traveler. To this, Socrates is said to have gravely replied, "Just make every step you take go in that direction."

No matter what we may face in the future, let us all be encouraged to make our every effort work towards reaching that critical mass of awareness of which Dane constantly speaks.

Look the storm in the eye.

      Fear not!

Blessings to you all, my friends. Peace, Light and Encouragement to you all, and especially to you, Penny.

Hollywood Apocalypse: The rich and famous are fleeing in droves | Daily Mail

…there are more than 66,000 people sleeping rough every night. The virus only made matters worse. There are homeless encampments in some of the most instantly recognisable tourist traps

Hollywood's Apocalypse NOW: Rich and famous are fleeing in droves as liberal politics and coronavirus turn City of Dreams into cesspit plagued by junkies and violent criminals
Junkies and the homeless, many of whom are clearly mentally ill, walk the palm-lined streets like zombies – all just three blocks from multi-million-dollar homes overlooking the Pacific.
Stolen bicycles are piled high on pavements littered with broken syringes.
TV bulletins are filled with horror stories from across the city; of women being attacked during their morning jog or residents returning home to find strangers defecating in their front gardens.
Today, Los Angeles is a city on the brink. 'For Sale' signs are seemingly dotted on every suburban street as the middle classes, particularly those with families, flee for the safer suburbs, with many choosing to leave LA altogether.
British-born Danny O'Brien runs Watford Moving & Storage. 'There is a mass exodus from Hollywood,' he says.
'And a lot of it is to do with politics.' His business is booming. 'August has already set records and we are only halfway through the month,' he tells me.
'People are getting out in droves. Last week I moved a prominent person in the music industry from a $6.5 million [£5 million] mansion above Sunset Boulevard to Nashville.'
… Stretches of Hollywood Boulevard – embedded with glittering stars representing those who achieved their dream of fame and fortune – resemble a Third World shanty town rather than the heart of America's second-largest city.

… 'When I first arrived in LA 40 years ago, the town smelled of orange blossoms. Now the streets stink of urine.  There is a beautiful park in Westwood but you can't go there because there are people slumped on the ground and you step on a carpet of needles.
'White flight is real. The elites and middle classes are leaving. People are taking losses on the sales of their homes to get out.'

China's flood season leaves 219 fatalities, more than 4 million evacuated and 63 million affected
Severe flooding from this year's rainy season in China has left a total of 219 fatalities and more than 63 million people affected, the Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) said in a press conference on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Over the past two months, more than four million have been evacuated amid historically heavy rains, with further deluge expected to continue in the weeks ahead.
The major flood season in China arrived on June 1 as heavy downpours battered several provinces, causing the water levels in rivers and lakes to increase, including the Yangtze River.
A total of 634 rivers across the nation burst their banks, with water levels surpassing the warning level. 194 of these rivers exceeded maximum guaranteed safety level, and 53 broke historic records.
Severe inundations also resulted in direct economic losses worth around 26 billion dollars or 180 billion yuan. Tens of thousands of infrastructure were damaged, including 54 000 houses.
Vice-minister Zhou Xuewen reported that a total of 219 people lost their lives in flood-related incidents, noting that these casualties were 54.7 percent less compared to the average in the past five years.

Hydrogen sulfide.  It's gotten worse with the "firing" of the methane clathrate "gun" as one ecological "superstar" termed it a few years back.  I'm less than a mile from the mouth of San Rafael Canal on San Pablo Bay (S.F. Bay, north of the Golden Gate) and it was overwhelming late at night, probably during low tide, on Friday, Saturday and over the weekend.  As I understand it, the loss of buoyancy that causes ships to sink in the "Bermuda Triangle" is caused by methane bubbles rising out of the sea floor in the Caribbean.  This makes total sense as the area is full of undersea petroleum deposits, and oil companies go looking for petroleum under the sea floor out there.  Remember the Deepwater Horizon?  The sea floor actually BLEW OUT– it wasn't just a well, as most had told us– and Petroleum investor Matt Simmons mysteriously died very soon after spilling the beans about the sea floor blowout on the mainstream news.

and geoff – born in 1948 – me born a year later, with a name formed 1000 yrs ago – those damn conquerers – invading a land peopled by farmers

we were conned – don't forget the lords (conquerers descendants) were in charge then (1948)- my family come from london and country and i have realised city people – in the cultural know – knew we have been 'run' by 'others' for ever

cultural knowledge gives one the knowledge how to deal with people without buying into the whole – i am better than you kinda stuff – that people who amass land and property have in their heads – that way leads to fear, greed and ugliness

i don't recognise the free and lovely land where i stand tis full of greedy people all wanting to be like the rich and powerful

although often visited somerset – isn't salisbury plain – the army place – in somerset

my dad was born in london around the corner from the last work house in britain and if you are aware of people history – tis not written down – you have to read between the lines – then you will 'know' that arrogance has been a feature of the 'establishment', 'ruler' for ever

and it is what brings us to the point of destruction

the arrogance of education and science that thinks it knows better than nature

i, too, find the death of my environment more than i can cope with sometimes – it will be the death of me i think, after the man next door cut the sides of my large trees down and carted them away with not a word to me – my heart couldn't take it and i had to call an ambulance

but have to say people what actually helped me was mistletoe – fresh and as a tea

tis a nonsense that mistletoe is poisonous – although the american one is slightly different though – look to your own herbalists

and now it seems i have a tear in my heart – what a surprise?

it often hurts – living in a world of numpty humans hurts like hell

so thank you both for being part of this connection that dale has made between the awake and the sleeping masses

and to mike – knew there was something wrong when there was nothing from you

hurts the heart – you must have been wiped out by it all

my eyes are filled with tears for the dreadful things that go on

love to you all out there in this hard to take human world

    Thanks, Jonathan O'Quinn!

    • Jonathan O'Quinn says:

You're welcome, Mary. Blessings to you and yours and to all here in the GeoWatch community.

Everybody, please be encouraged… not everybody can do everything, but everybody can do something. Everyone had a different sphere of influence. Every person has different skills and opportunities and abilities. It is similar to the parable of the sower and the seed. We never never exactly what will come of the things that we do. For example, yesterday at ECU many of the students were very receptive. A few were not. Even they were still polite and respectful. And I was polite and respectful.

As it turns out, the gentleman who helped me by taking pictures so that we could encourage others, it's in the ROTC. He is so excited about spreading this message that he emailed his ROTC director it is going to be talking with his director tomorrow about this subject. He and I are hopeful that his ROTC director will at least unofficially, if not officially, allow geoengineering watch materials to be distributed among all of the ROTC ladies and gentlemen. It is so important that we reach out to the military. So perhaps some wonderful seeds were planted yesterday just with that one person. And perhaps many more to come. Like Dane says, we will never know if we don't try.

I think the important thing is it everybody commit to doing everything that they can do. Everybody can do something. We can email geoengineering information, and we can mail geoengineering materials. We can leave geoengineering materials at restaurants community bulletin boards public libraries Parks etcetera.

There was additional material that a physician friend of mine and I also put together that was included in every handout given yesterday. The Student Center also let me use their community bulletin board that they have in their Student Center which has slots where people can put flyers of all kinds for the students to browse through. I filled two of them up with materials.

Let us all Endeavor to do all that we can and to trust the process of sharing truth with others and enlightening people who for various reasons have been ignorant on this subject.

  14. Jonathan OQuinn says:

To add to the insanity that we are all seeing at this time, my wife and I use LP gas to run some of our appliances like our stove and heater. We have an LP gas company in town that we work with, and the tank is in our backyard. About a year ago they came out without our permission and put a smart meter on that tank. I called them and explained the dangers of electromagnetic radiation and told them to come take it off and that I would check the meter manualof and tell them when the level was low. They did. I was outside this morning and guess what I saw? They've come out in the last few days and put a new smart meter on the tank without telling me. So I called and left a message this morning that they're going to come out and take that thing off my tank tomorrow, or I'm going to take it off myself and throw it in the trash can. I then went out and disconnected it.

You may or may not be aware, but in 2011 the World Health Organization classified electromagnetic radiation, commonly known as EMF, as a "probable Class 2 carcinogen."

This applies anything that's called smart, like a smartphone or a smart meter for a smart TV. I see people all the time walking around with smartphones in their back pockets. Remember the two members of Congress who developed glioblastomas where they were holding the phone to their head all the time?

There are several companies that sell products that modulate electromagnetic fields to make these devices safer to be around. I use a number of these types of products.

I strongly recommend that with cell phones, if you had the phone on you, set it to airplane mode to this not receiving or transmitting if it's close to your body. We are certainly facing a multi-pronged attack on Humanity, and we must stand up to these people and assert our rights as human beings; we must assert our Liberty; we must assert our freedom!

Hi Dane, I am just wondering if this derecho that hit the mid west states could have been geoengineered? It fits into the globalist agenda to destroy food crops that are ready for harvest and create a food shortage/famine in this country. When they control the food, they have the populations in their grip of tyranny.

    • Dane Wigington says:

Hello, MJ, the short answer to your question is yes. All the factors you cited are most certainly a part of the equation.

Imagine being in a 40 mile wide tornado that lasted 45 minutes. I was at home and experienced it first-hand. I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and we got hit the worst in all of Iowa. Winds hit us at 112 mph and knocked thousands and thousands of trees in the city, ripped roofs off businesses, churches, and semi-trucks were rolled on their sides. After the storm 90 percent of the traffic lights were dangling and not working. I believe FEMA said this is way worse than Katrina. I see we are not getting the national attention like the big cities get which is fine. We will be strong and rebuild just like when our city was flooded in 2008 with 15 square miles of flood water. As of today (August 17 one week after the storm) we still don't have power in 30 percent of the homes.
Also, they have been spraying in the skies non stop before and after the storm. This storm was not natural by any means. I'm not sure what can be done to stop this insanity. Much love to all!

Another stunning broadcast Dane. Thanks for the reality update.  I wish to get all the data mentioned by the Dr Annette   L ?  from  Germany re the genetic harm from CV19  vax. We know it has the  RNA manipulation from other sources , so prefer I get her specifics,  because this proposed  WARP SPEED vax cannot be eliminated out of body.-it impacts the DNA.  Also, the Iowa storm that ruined much was called an "Inland Hurricane"  -yet another weather  term I had not heard of before . Radio news said trees were twisted and bent -never saw this … In  5th day of power outage.  Get prepared  as masters are ramped up for vast damage to confuse and crush it all. Expose this and keep sharing along !

    • Dane Wigington says:

Hello, Really Organic, thank you for standing with us in this all important battle. In regard to your question, if by our collective efforts we are able to fully expose and halt the global atmospheric interference / assault, it would at least buy us time.

New Report Reveals US Special Forces Active in 22 African Countries / The Mint Press
The US has roughly 6,000 military personnel scattered throughout the continent with military attachés outnumbering diplomats in many embassies across Africa.
    by Alan Macleod

A new report published in South African newspaper The Mail and Guardian has shed light on the opaque world of the American military presence in Africa. Last year, elite U.S. Special Operations forces were active in 22 African countries. This accounts for 14 percent of all American commandos deployed overseas, the largest number for any region besides the Middle East. American troops had also seen combat in 13 African nations.
The U.S. is not formally at war with an African nation, and the continent is barely discussed in reference to American exploits around the globe. Therefore, when U.S. operatives die in Africa, as happened in Niger, Mali, and Somalia in 2018, the response from the public, and even from the media is often “why are American soldiers there in the first place?”
The presence of the U.S. military, especially commandos, is rarely publicly acknowledged, either by Washington or by African governments. What they are doing remains even more opaque. U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) generally claims that special forces go no further than so-called “AAA” (advise, assist and accompany) missions. Yet in combat, the role between observer and participant can become distinctly blurry.
The United States has roughly 6,000 military personnel scattered throughout the continent, with military attachés outnumbering diplomats in many embassies across Africa. Earlier this year, The Intercept reported that the military operates 29 bases on the continent.  One of these is a huge drone hub in Niger, something The Hill called “the largest U.S. Air Force-led construction project of all time.” The construction cost alone was over $100 million, with total operating costs expected to top $280 billion by 2024. Equipped with Reaper drones, the U.S. can now conduct cross border bombing raids all over the North and West of Africa.
Washington claims that the military’s primary role in the region is to combat the rise of extremist forces. In recent years, a number of Jihadist groups have arisen, including Al-Shabaab, Boko Haram, and other al-Qaeda affiliated groups. However, much of the reason for their rise can be traced back to previous American actions, including the destabilization of Yemen, Somalia, and the overthrow of Colonel Gaddafi in Libya.
It is also clear that the United States plays a key role in training many nations’ soldiers and security forces. For example, the U.S. pays Bancroft International, a private military contractor, to train elite Somali units who are at the forefront of the fighting in the country’s internal conflicts. According to The Mail and Guardian, these Somali fighters are likely also funded by the U.S. taxpayer.
While training foreign armed forces in basic tactics might sound like a bland, unremarkable activity, the U.S. government also spent decades instructing tens of thousands of Latin American military and police in what they called “internal security” at the notorious School of the Americas at Fort Benning, GA (now rebranded as the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security). Recruits in the twentieth century were instructed on internal repression and told that a communist menace lied around every corner, meting out brutal repression on their own populations once returning. Likewise, with counter-terrorism training, the line between “terrorist” “militant” and “protester” can often be debatable.
The U.S. military also occupies the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, claimed by the African island nation of Mauritius. In the 1960s and 1970s, the British government expelled the entire local population, dumping them in slums in Mauritius, where most still live. The United States uses the island as a military base and a nuclear weapons station. The island was critical to American military activities during both Iraq Wars and continues to be a major threat, casting a nuclear shadow over the Middle East, East Africa, and South Asia.

"Ghost Town": Shocking Dystopian Video Of NYC Shows An Abandoned And Boarded Up 5th Avenue | Zero Hedge

De Blasio's New York has finally hit an all-time low: the once bustling city is now on the verge of looking like a demilitarized zone. Between the pandemic and the riots in the city, iconic 5th Avenue now looks more like a dystopian nightmare in a recently shot video posted to Twitter.
The video follows a car driving down a deserted 5th Avenue, with almost all of the area's high end stores boarded up and shut down. There are few people seen on what is usually a busy street.
"Look at everything. Everything's boarded up. Even the hotel. Boarded up," the video's narrator, who is obviously fed up with how the city looks, says.
He continues: "This is all Manhattan, boarded up. Have you ever seen Manhattan look like this? The media will not report this."
"Everything boarded up. They don't want to show this to you people because they're afraid. Saks 5th Avenue – boarded up from end to end. They put up barbed wire. Everywhere you see boards, windows are gone. Look at New York City – what happened," he says.
The video runs over 2 minutes and shows dozens of boarded up businesses. You can watch it here:

VSF:  Chicago too! One wonders how this works when various mafia families control specific territories in Chicago?
Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot desperately wants the world to believe that she has the situation in her city under control and that she doesn't need help from the federal government – nor would she ever need it from President Trump.
But while she puts that facade on during interviews and press conferences with national media, the reality of constant looting, rioting and crime in Chicago continues to unfold; as do its consequences.
For example, this weekend, the city will shut down its Central Business District overnight, effective at 9PM each night. The decision comes "in the wake of looting and unrest downtown, on the Magnificent Mile, and in Streeterville, River North, and the area near North and Sheffield avenues," according to CBS Chicago.

America’s Obesity Epidemic Threatens Effectiveness of Any COVID Vaccine | Kaiser Health News
As intensive care units in New York, New Jersey and elsewhere filled with patients, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned that obese people with a body mass index of 40 or more — known as morbid obesity or about 100 pounds overweight — were among the groups at highest risk of becoming severely ill with COVID-19. About 9% of American adults are in that category.
As weeks passed and a clearer picture of who was being hospitalized came into focus, federal health officials expanded their warning to include people with a body mass index of 30 or more. That vastly expanded the ranks of those considered vulnerable to the most severe cases of infection, to 42.4% of American adults.
Obesity has long been known to be a significant risk factor for death from cardiovascular disease and cancer. But scientists in the emerging field of immunometabolism are finding obesity also interferes with the body’s immune response, putting obese people at greater risk of infection from pathogens such as influenza and the novel coronavirus. In the case of influenza, obesity has emerged as a factor making it more difficult to vaccinate adults against infection. The question is whether that will hold true for COVID-19.
A healthy immune system turns inflammation on and off as needed, calling on white blood cells and sending out proteins to fight infection. Vaccines harness that inflammatory response. But blood tests show that obese people and people with related metabolic risk factors such as high blood pressure and elevated blood sugar levels experience a state of chronic mild inflammation; the inflammation turns on and stays on.
Adipose tissue — or fat — in the belly, the liver and other organs is not inert; it contains specialized cells that send out molecules, like the hormone leptin, that scientists suspect induces this chronic state of inflammation. While the exact biological mechanisms are still being investigated, chronic inflammation seems to interfere with the immune response to vaccines, possibly subjecting obese people to preventable illnesses even after vaccination.
… In 2017, scientists at UNC-Chapel Hill provided a critical clue about the limitations of the influenza vaccine. In a paper published in the International Journal of Obesity, they showed for the first time that vaccinated obese adults were twice as likely as adults of a healthy weight to develop influenza or flu-like illness.
