The new year has arrived, a renewed power structure push for global conflict has come with it. Each passing day on our planet is increasingly best described as groundhog day in a global asylum. Unprecedented wildfires in Australia are incinerating millions of acres and still growing with no end in sight. How bad can it get? How bad will the Northern Hemisphere fires be once summer returns? The more ominous the horizon becomes, the deeper into denial the majority of the population goes. Will a turning point come? Will unfolding conditions soon become so horrific that a wake-up in the population is finally triggered? Will the US continue to pour the majority of its GDP (Gross Domestic Product) into making weapons of mass destruction? Even as the biosphere implodes from all directions? Is it already too late? Or is there still time to salvage some part of Earth’s remaining life support systems? The latest issue of Global Alert News is below.

As the warning alarms increasingly go off around the world, how many are willing to put all the effort and energy they can spare into the critical effort to alter our current course? No matter what others do or don’t do, each of us are only responsible for ourselves and what we do with our own free will. All are needed in the critical battle to wake populations to what is unfolding, we must make every day count

    dear all

i can understand the total anger and frustration that many of you feel but criticising anyone here doesn't help anyone

my dad told me, after he taught me to read at the age of three – read between the lines – please do so people!!

no need to be so picky

that's what is wrong in so many ways

listen to others – let them get their anger out otherwise it bottles up and comes out in a rage

change subject – have found some very interesting info about pollution and the effect on people in their own homes

any kind of lemon ingredient in products that is kept for any length of time degrades to formaldehyde – yes a poison

pine is the same – degrades to a poison

    makes people stupid

hahaha women's obsession with making everything smell like it doesn't – its poisoning us – hahahaha

my mum never used all that nonsense – she would open windows hahaha

and wash things – not spray things

a mention on sprays – the old name is atomisers – which means every time you spray, the spray is so small that it can invade your brain through your cribiform plate – up your nose – goes directly to your brain hahahaha

sorry, that is a bit of a maniacal laugh – i am amazed that people know so little about how they affect themselves negatively

and how many people spend their lives in a numb state and then suddenly wake up

i've been awake since i was about 3 – when i got a crack on the back of my head from a concrete path which i was swinging over

    woke me up – hahahahaha

and i have been watching life ever since – trying to make some kinda sense – failed miserably so far – hahahaha – but now just getting used to it cos i have been watching it for 67yrs – hahahaha

as for john lennon – hmmm – heard he was a bit of a dirty ol' bugger – but i loved his music – appealed to heart and the head

also the hippies – peace and love – unfortunately many thought love was to do with sex – pill came at the same time – explosion of sexual behaviour in the west along with spread of sexually transmitted diseases

i shall say no more – yuk – hahahaha – sexual revolution bah humbug

watched and listened to a boris johnson speech – had to vote for him because the alternatives were just downright laughable if they weren't so damn frightenly ignorant

but he showed his hand – the 2% of people that run the world – need to keep them in charge cos tis only them that are capable

strange that the 2% who have run human society for a very long time produce such a fucking great mess that we have to live in

and yes i swore cos i get DAMN, DAMN ANGRY

and he also mentioned us 98% – in passing – he said lets keep envy as a virtue – keeping up with the jones's

mmmmmm angry maybe not enough – furious maybe a better word

so i sent him a postcard – not my address on it – don't want him communicating with me – but then he wouldn't, it would be one of his 98% underlings

told him in no uncertain terms that we should all be employed in a job that makes the best of our talents for the benefit of human society and the greater environment and that his assertion about envy was grotesque

like he'll read it – hahahaha – some years ago sent a postcard to osama bin laden (i was so angry with him) – in pakistan – telling him to face up and tell us what's going on – bet i kept the secret service going for a while – hahahaha – more nutty people – paranoa is their game!!

have noticed with the leaf cover off the trees the lymph glands under my arms hurt – happened last year but didn't understand the timing or connection – obviously the leaves filter the pollution – leaves fell all over my car and stuck to it – has taken the paint off in places – such a joy to know what is happening to my lungs aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAA

last thing – want to remind people about schumacher, german economist – when the firm, organisation, government gets so big people don't know each other the organisation runs the people

and we see it time and time again – a world too full of people

and it is wrong for any of us oldens to feel guilt (guilt not productive anyway) especially you people in the usa

    take the long view

if you think that your country is dreadful you must look at all the empires (run by the 2%) that went before – afganistan, egypt, south america, greece, roman, united kingdom, spain etc. etc. etc – on all continents since time immemorial

all over the world are empires (2%) fighting each other whilst the archeologists keep discovering the remains of empires hidden in the mists of time

humans have always been empire building – and using slavery to do it – and gobbling up the environments around them – and so they degrade – until they are just tumbledown ruins

and yet we keep destroying, on and on

dear rachel carson – a silent spring – books make me cry too – that one certainly did

on a last note – horseman never has his eyes shut

virginia – do you have a lot of virgo in your chart cos – me being a virgo, i know our tendency to criticise – back off dear lady cos we are all flawed – or maybe you have a old saying for me

    i say:-

pay attention, believe nothing and don't take it personal

    or, how about

"i expect to pass through this world just once; (i hope!!! hahaha) and any good thing therefore, that i can do or any kindness that i can show to any fellow creature, let me not defer or neglect it, for i shall not pass this way again."

    one of my mum's favourites

i love the way that one of your countrymen signs off his programme – name ventura – watching the hawks – he says and i paraphrase – we are not told enough times of love so i say to you i love you all

and i do, as i have said before, love all the people who are awake (and who obviously don't use a lot of lemon hahahaha) because we need all the love – those of us who are in pain

VSF: These three weave together to paint a terrifying picture of the inevitable increase in deadly toxic pollution – not only from petroleum products, but an increase in the production of plastics that are already said to be in our bodies, the oceans, birds, animals, and the polar regions as micro-plastics. Read the staggering numbers, the investment money, the insanity!  "…157 new or expanded plants are slated to come online…"

    * The Latest Texas Oil Boom Has Sent Emissions Soaring
The ongoing growth of fracking in the U.S., plus the related buildout of pipelines, refineries and petrochemical plants, will release the equivalent of 50 new coal-fired power plants over the next five years.
An estimated 157 new or expanded plants are slated to come online in that timeframe, according to a new report from the Environmental Integrity Project (EIP). Those plants are expected to release 227 million tons of additional greenhouse gas emissions by 2025, a 30 percent increase from the industry’s 2018 emissions total.
“The US is already struggling to meet climate commitments and transition to a low-carbon future,” said Courtney Bernhardt, Research Director at the Environmental Integrity Project. “This analysis shows that we’re heading in the wrong direction and really need to slow emissions growth from the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.”
Roughly 36 million tons of the 227-million-ton total will come from expanded drilling. But that means that more than 80 percent of the additional emissions comes from all the associated midstream and downstream facilities.

About half of the 157 new facilities are to be built in Texas and Louisiana.
This isn’t just a matter of greenhouse gas emissions, but also of harmful pollutants that affect public health. For instance, the planned facilities will emit 119,000 tons of volatile organic compounds each year, which will exacerbate smog, as well as 11,100 tons of fine particles that contribute to asthma and heart attacks.
One of the largest sources of new emissions could come from the massive $9.4-billion Formosa chemical and plastics plant to be built in Louisiana, a plant that will dramatically increase the amount of toxic chemicals released in the region’s “Cancer Alley.” That plant has faced stiffed resistance, but recently received crucial state permits, inching the project forward.

The tidal wave of investment in petrochemical plants to produce plastics is the next chapter of the fracking boom.  Enormous supplies of natural gas and natural gas liquids, which have crashed prices, are set to be transformed into plastics. Shell’s gargantuan ethane cracker in Western Pennsylvania is one example, but the Gulf Coast is home to many more planned ethane crackers and related petrochemical sites, taking advantage of the huge volumes of oil and gas flowing from the Permian and Eagle Ford.
Globally, the oil and gas industry is expected to invest $1.4 trillion in new projects around the world over the next five years, although the bulk of that will flow into U.S. shale. “U.S. oil and gas expansion by itself will make it virtually impossible for the rest of the world to manage the safe, equitable and necessary phase-out of oil and gas production by 2050,” a December 2019 report published by a broad coalition of environmental groups said.

    * A Fracking-Driven Industrial Boom Renews Pollution Concerns in Pittsburgh – Yale E360
Now, Pittsburgh and the surrounding area are embracing a new wave of industry tied to the fracking boom in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. Nothing better embodies this surge than a massive, $6 billion ethane cracker currently being built 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh by Shell Chemical Appalachia, a subsidiary of the oil giant Royal Dutch Shell. The facility will process huge quantities of natural gas and natural gas liquids from the prolific Marcellus and Utica shales and turn them into the building blocks of plastic. The plastic pellets produced by “cracking” ethane molecules will then be sold to manufacturers producing consumer and industrial products such as plastic bags, packaging, automotive parts, and furniture.
When it comes online in 2021, Shell’s ethane cracker will also add significantly to air pollution in western Pennsylvania, becoming the region’s largest source of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are harmful gases emitted by solids or liquids, including combusted fossil fuels. The facility will also emit substantial amounts of nitrogen oxide (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), fine particulate matter, and other hazardous air pollutants, the Clean Air Council says. All of these have been linked to an increased risk of respiratory problems such as asthma, as well as to cardiovascular effects and a heightened risk of cancer.

    * Frequently Asked Questions About Ethane Crackers – The Allegheny Front

What pollutants are associated with ethane cracker facilities?
These are large industrial operations that handle potentially harmful chemicals. Air pollution from a cracker can include nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide and particulate matter—all of which are regulated by the Clean Air Act.
Ethane crackers have the potential to emit large amounts of ethylene, propylene and other so-called ‘highly reactive volatile organic compounds.’ These are chemical compounds that can react quickly in sunlight to form ground-level ozone, or smog.
Fugitive emissions or leaks can occur as a result of incomplete combustion during flaring, as well as from leaks in cooling towers, storage tanks and any of the over 100,000 valves and flanges found in a typical cracker. Large releases can also occur during plant upsets, when a unit must be shut down because of a mechanical problem, power outage or some other unplanned event. In some cases, these flaring events can release hazardous air pollutants like benzene, a known carcinogen.

7AM:  This morning International Clearing House has a video showing the murder of General Soleimani and his entourage apparently a satellite image with sound.  It also shows a clip of an imaginary sniper killing an imaginary Trump for payback.  It is all very emotionally challenging to watch these two clips, but for a better understanding of the reality on the ground at present, I recommend watching it.   Thanks.  Godspeed to our planet and all on it.

Ugly black fog over eastern Shasta Co in California.  Scary and unusual.  (3000 ft elev.)

    • 'a' simple horseman says:

There is no damn way I would view any such "videos". Same reason I don't ever watch horror movies or shoot'em up movies or TV. When you watch that crap, you're being logged, categorized and tracked. I very carefully choose what I stick in my simple mind. Been that way since I was a kid. I figure my waters are clearer than most folks. I saw long ago what "media" was doing to people and I wanted no part of it. "I'll think for myself, thank you very much". I recommend 'not' watching "it". What will "we" get desensitized to next?

I'm at 3100 ft ele and have had about 2 months of that crappy fog or low dark cold clouds. 5 out of 7 days each week so far. I've commented about the size of the ice crystals it forms on things that stick out, like pine needles and the antenna on my truck. During those periods I spend as little time as possible outside and keep the stove stoked up. I keep the cabin at about 75, 78 or so and 65 at night. No pot of water on the stove. I want it as dry as possible in here. I believe that some of what will harm us in the chemical ice nucleation agents is water vapor born (which is logical when you read the patents) so lowering indoor humidity makes sense, to me. Years ago before they had control of the humidity around here, you couldn't keep from getting a static shock when you touched something. Drove my dog crazy. I can't remember the last time that happened. 4 or 5 years at least. The RH in winter used to be between 10 and 50% years ago. Now days it ranges from about 70 to 90%. I think of all that "atmospheric river" that gets floated over my region. Suspended in micro wave frequencies and shipped "east". It could be raining right now, it could be raining a lot! IN WINTER! Where's all that "should be" humidity in the summer? Some days I feel pretty ripped off and so does my collapsing habitat.

Just for fun, Anyone remember the slogan, "It's not nice to 'fool' with mother nature". What were they selling? It wasn't anything natural. Terrible and typical as to how such an important message became something we were entertained with. I find it quite fitting that the operative term there is "fool". Just sayin….

Smedley Butler on Interventionism — Excerpt from a speech delivered in 1933, by Major General Smedley Butler, USMC. War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses. I believe in adequate defense at the coastline and nothing else. If a nation comes over here to fight, then we’ll fight. The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag. I wouldn’t go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers. There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket. There isn’t a trick in the racketeering bag that the military gang is blind to. It has its “finger men” to point out enemies, its “muscle men” to destroy enemies, its “brain men” to plan war preparations, and a “Big Boss” Super-Nationalistic-Capitalism. It may seem odd for me, a military man to adopt such a comparison. Truthfulness compels me to. I spent thirty- three years and four months in active military service as a member of this country’s most agile military force, the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from Second Lieutenant to Major-General. And during that period, I spent most of my time being a high class muscle- man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the Bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I suspected I was just part of a racket at the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all the members of the military profession, I never had a thought of my own until I left the service. My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military service. I helped make Mexico, especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefits of Wall Street. The record of racketeering is long. I helped purify Nicaragua for the international banking house of Brown Brothers in 1909-1912 (where have I heard that name before?). I brought light to the Dominican Republic for American sugar interests in 1916. In China I helped to see to it that Standard Oil went its way unmolested.During those years, I had, as the boys in the back room would say, a swell racket. Looking back on it, I feel that I could have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.

      Hi, Joseph,

War makes some people filthy rich, so it is good for "something."  They who reap the billions of dollars or the acquisition of land  and power care not for the destruction of people and countries.  They are blinded by greed, hate and it matters not whom they target.  As an example, Menachim Begin, the head of the terrorist organization Irgun in Palestine, stated proudly: "If it would help our cause in our creation of the State of Israel, I would kill my own mother."  This is a paraphrase, but it exemplifies the madness, the complete submission to evil that is prevalent in those who seek and glorify wars.   As an aside, Menachim Begin later served as Prime Minister of Israel and was awarded the Peace Prize.  In a nutshell: Wars pay off and the winners are duly rewarded in many ways.  It is we the people who pay the costs in blood and treasure.  And so it goes…

Thank you, Joseph, for the link.  Let us all hope for the best amidst this chaos.

I "knew" the assassination of Quasem Soleimani was a well planned hit as soon as the incident was reported.  My first questions were: What was Mr. Soleimami's mission in Iraq, and who knew where he would be??  Max Blumenthal does an excellent job of summing up the situation in the article linked below.  The hit reeks of a mafia style set up, and Saudi Arabia played Mr. Trump (and all Americans) as their lackeys…

Excerpted from: Iraqi PM reveals Soleimani was on peace mission when assassinated, exploding Trump's lie of 'imminent attacks' | The Grayzone

    January 6, 2020

"At a January 3 State Department briefing, where reporters finally got the chance to demand evidence for the claim of an “imminent” threat, one US official erupted in anger.

“Jesus, do we have to explain why we do these things?” he barked at the press.

Two days later, when Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi addressed his country’s parliament, Trump’s justification for killing Soleimani was exposed as a cynical lie.

According to Abdul-Mahdi, he had planned to meet Soleimani on the morning the general was killed to discuss a diplomatic rapprochement that Iraq was brokering between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Abdul-Mahdi said that Trump personally thanked him for the efforts, even as he was planning the hit on Soleimani – thus creating the impression that the Iranian general was safe to travel to Baghdad."

From Daily Kos:  Defense secretary's chief of staff tenders resignation as Trump team moves toward war, five top U.S. military advisers resign:

The exodus of top Defense officials under Team Trump continues. In the weeks before Christmas, five senior Pentagon officials resigned their posts for unclear reasons. Now Defense Secretary Mark Esper's chief of staff, former Army intelligence officer Eric Chewning, has delivered his own resignation.

Politico reports that Chewning will be leaving at the end of the month, and is departing to spend more time not enabling war cri—sorry, is leaving for unspecified reasons for a new job in the "private sector." The involved parties, or at least the ones talking, appear to be intent on painting this new departure as routine.

That's a bit eyebrow-raising; in general, senior defense officials do not start heading for the exits in the weeks before their nation undertakes a dramatic new escalation of military force.

Behind the scenes, though, Esper's office appears to be in turmoil. A Foreign Policy report on Sunday revealed that Trump Defense Secretary Esper had cut senior Pentagon leaders out of the loop on the Suleimani assassination, and that the Joint Chiefs of Staff were not consulted or briefed on the operation ahead of time. “The usual approval process, the decision-making process, did not occur,” an anonymous defense official told FP.

And while the Pentagon appeared to attempt to weasel out of responsibility for the decision with a New York Times-reported claim that the option of striking the senior Iranian military leader during a diplomatic mission in Iraq was not intended to be a "realistic" proposal, but only an extremist option meant to make other options look more palatable, that reporting is implausible.

This global alert, along with every other proves, with every additional subscriber, that the power structure can never have the success rate in which they strive.  When I first began my due diligence in researching and questioning the scripted narrative I’ll admit I thought could any/all of this be possible?  I sifted through the additional bullshit and soon realized after unplugging most of my life realized that anything is possible.  we’re told the status of the biosphere is bad it’s actually worse.  Conversing with my father he says “so what the hell are you gonna do about it?” Singularly  nothing can be done but critical awareness through consistent communication is the least I can do.  I often say that someday I’ll tell those in which I attempt to awaken that I told you so, I’d rather tell them thanks for opening your mind to this massive injustice and thanks for standing with us.  Dane I’d just like to say your continuous hard work is clearly the most dire and important feat of any human in regard to  our survival and hopefully our prosperity if that’s still possible.  Coming to you from fresh water central finger lakes New York keep up the good work and so will I

  14. BlueSue says:

Dear Dane and friends, like you I have to wonder how do so many people remain impervious to the converging catastrophes that are intensifying daily. The masses are so susceptible to the easy-to-swallow distortions and polarizing untruths pervading mass media. Today’s social media is feeding us a false narrative, a false reality, and superficial connectivity. Regarding the pernicious power of social media platforms, Dark Journalist recently opined, “We are completely numbing-out our capacity for observation,” to which I would add, we are atrophying our capacity for discernment and the ability to connect the dots and see the big picture.  Like you and many others here, I seek out truth and real news from reliable alternative sources. Let’s be mindful of entangling ourselves in fear porn’s addictive sticky web. Always consider the motives of the agitators (like our current POTUS). Last night I listened to an old podcast with (Crossing the Rubicon) Michael Ruppert. He spoke at length about the criminal syndicate running our government. He had a lot to say about why we are here where we are (living in an asylum). “We’ve been watching these crimes taking place right before our eyes – the 2000 [stolen) election] and we didn’t do anything…if the public had listened to the Iran-Contra (whistle-blowers), and/or all the protest movements, 9-11, the 2003 invasion of Afghanistan…I carry a lot of rage…nobody ever mustered the will to call the crimes out when they saw them, when they happened.” — Mike Ruppert

And here we go again, eh?  What has become of our will? Why are we so weak willed today? Might it have something to do with becoming evermore dependent (entrapped) on machines that do everything for us?

Are we experiencing an Ahrimanic (demonic) mass possession of society?  (Ahriman is the ancient Persian name for the supreme evil force, currently aka the anti-spiritual grave lord of materialism and mineralizing mechanistic modes of calcifying darkness via technology, AI, etc.)

Have you ever wondered how we could be so inundated with such monumental crappiness all around us today? How on earth did we become mired in such a sick state of affairs?  How did we let the myriad magnificent life forms upon our precious earth get so contaminated, depleted and/or thoroughly decimated?

How could it NOT be so — with such a massive void created by our “civilized” kinds’ passivity, apathy, and disconnection — when it is our responsibility to first NOTICE, to care, to engage, to speak out, to act.  We must be accountable — to hold our truth (however dire and difficult) during such desperate times as these.

As a very wise philosopher-teacher once said, “We must eradicate from the soul all fear and terror of what comes towards man out of the future. We must acquire serenity in all feelings and sensations about the future. We must look forward with absolute equanimity to everything that may come. And we must think only that whatever comes is given to us by a world-directive full of wisdom. It is part of what we must learn in this age, namely, to live out of pure trust, without any security in existence. Trust in the ever-present help of the spiritual world. Truly, nothing else will do if our courage is not to fail us. And let us seek the awakening from within ourselves, every morning and every evening. — Rudolf Steiner (1861 – 1925) Austrian philosopher, architect, economist and esotericist.

As Dane often relates, we ARE living in an asylum. The “insanity of converging catastrophes” are disturbingly obvious for anyone with eyes to see and is half awake.  Humanity’s increasingly blind, half-asleep, and soulless trajectory is beyond worrisome.

With a pacified and propagandized populace subject to surveillance and exploited by disaster capitalism, hyper-consumerism, and the planet’s wildlife and environment decimated by pollution, resource extraction and exploitation, nuclear contamination, and perpetual war, fake news, censorship, economic slavery, commodification of people and nature, and the pernicious privatization of institutions for public welfare (schools, hospitals, prisons) and pretty much all life, things look pretty damn grim.

Frost that god-awful cake with our derelict democracy, artificial intelligence (AI), eugenics, criminal vaccines, 5-G deployment, criminal stock market- CIA – criminal congress, peak oil, 9/11, out of control militarism sponsoring perpetual war, earth-shattering False Flag events, an impending Space Force and Space Fence around the planet.  Need we even mention virtual reality, political corruption/theatre, chronic incarceration, cults/tribalism, weaponized ionospheric heaters like HAARP, GMOs, polluting micro-plastics like the Great Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch, heavy metals, glyphosate and fluoride poisoning of the population, globalization, weather modification/warfare, Cern, Deep State tyranny, mind-control, drug addiction spawned by the CIA and Big-Pharma, cancer and other pervasive designer diseases, the Zionist’s (and Bill Gate’s) Globalist depopulation agenda, and of course let’s not forget the owners of the (not) Federal Reserve pet paradigm of infinite growth.

Thank you Juana for the MLK quotes you posted(December 31, 2019 at 3:44 pm)

“Rationalizations and the incessant search for scapegoats are the psychological cataracts that blind us …He who lives in untruth lives in spiritual slavery…the hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in a period of moral crisis maintain their neutrality…

Silence becomes betrayal.  One of the difficulties in speaking out today grows the fact that there are those who are seeking to equate dissent with disloyalty. ..it isn’t easy to stand up for truth and for justice.  Sometimes it means being frustrated. When you tell the truth and take a stand, sometimes it means that you will walk the streets with a burdened heart.  Some times it means losing a job, being abused and scorned.” — Martin Luther King…

“The year ahead is promising to bring clearer focus worldwide on how depraved and destructive the United States has become. It alone stands as the nemesis of world peace.”

The US rogue-state conduct is the deplorable common denominator threatening world peace.”

These are indeed difficult times. Terrible times. We were born here in this country in this time because it is our karma and we have work to do.  Balance the hateful aggression with compassion and love.  Peace to all.

Jeeeeze, NO WONDER it's all falling to sh*t here: "Sh8t happens," usually uttered in response to some totally avoidable debacle, along with the usual dismissive shrug of the shoulders and open palms facing skyward.  No, I could NEVER possibly have done anything that might contribute to the mess here on Earth, this kind likes to say….

    • Dennie says:

@Patricia:  In some of our towns here in CA, town and city councils have passed resolutions to declare themselves to be a "geoengineering-free" zone.  Which means that any companies that are involved in the planning, financing, production and fueling of geoengineering programs, including production or shipping of chemicals, transporting these through the town, geoengineering research, etc., would be in violation of municipal code.  Many cities did this in response to the proliferation of the nuclear (translated: war) industry in the 70s and some towns who have more "hip" residents and elected representation are also doing this with regard to 5G technology roll outs and yes, geoengineering.  The town of Fairfax, CA is one.  I was there at a town council meeting in order to provide testimony about my diagnosis of acute barium poisoning and resulting cardiac arrhythmia (this can cause a heart attack–!!) from 2010.  They declared themselves a "geoengineering-free zone" that evening.  Forward thinkers.

America has now become the hallmark of barbarity.  I bow my head in shame and in sorrow.   Today, I learned that the "bomb" dropped on General Soleimani and his companions was not an 'ordinary' missile that explodes.  But the kind that, once it hits the target area, hundreds of sharp-edged blades pop out and cut through any material (vehicles, bodies) without, so says the Pentagon, inflicting "collateral" damage in the area.  Wish I was more knowledgeable about missiles, etc, but I have given the gist of what transpired.  The funeral processions held in Iran for these men did not carry whole bodies – but merely scraps of what once was.   What was left of General Soleimani was identified only by a ring that he wore.  And this by the most "exceptional nation" in the world.  I wonder what picture the families of these men have in their minds about now.

    • 'a' simple horseman says:

Virginia and ALL, Virginia, I've been grinding on your contribution all day. I read it earlier this morning and it's been blatantly rising to the top of my thoughts. I too bow my head in shame and sorrow for the act committed by powers that should not be. The way Soleimani died is beyond any humane act act of "w" if there even is one. I'm not wired to handle what has and what will be coming down the pike. The world stage has always been so distant in my earlier years mind. Ignorance was indeed quite bliss. Now that I've stumbled down more rabbit holes than could cripple a herd of a thousand Mustangs, bliss is a thing of the past and current reality becomes the eminent place where we want to see and hear the real truth, no matter the cost.

I find it interesting that the MSM is having a hard time comparing Gen Soleimani's death to someone in our own american history. I'll pose this comparason, "What if some foreign country came over here and killed John Wayne?!" That's how "popular" Soleimani 'was' and very well will continue to be among "most" of the Iranian people. "Persia is alive and well". Least we not forget that great and vast Empire…..

    • Virginia says:

Thank you very much, Simple Horseman (Mike, right?) .Your sensitivity to the meaning of my post is appreciated.  May I point out one point of your post that concerns me:   Using John Wayne as a oomparative to General Soleimani does an injustice to the murdered general.  John Wayne, (I, too, loved him on film) was a celluloid figure…a myth surrounded by lights, camera, action and false publicity.  I'm not sure if your remember he was a draft dodger – by his own admission- and the reason he avoided fighting for his "beloved' country was this:

He was just a minor extra wanna be before the war.  All of the main actors who were on top of the star-studded ladder were either enlisting or were drafted, leaving a void. Tyrone Power, James Stewart and others were getting the roles Wayne coveted.    He admitted that this would be the time for him to get the important roles and therefore his break in stardom. And so it was.   What came after was his close association with Donovan (OSS) head of OSS, (Office of Strategic Command) later the CIA, and his right wing buddies in government who not only gave him deferments but promoted him as "hero" of WW2.  Hell, we even have an airport named after this "Hollywood hero".  Well, he was on screen, following a script, advocating war (now that he was safe) and becoming a hero to all Americans.

We in America do not understand that Gen. Soleiman was revered not only as a military genius, but as a man of integrity and high religious standing.  His reputation was impeccable.  His military genius rid Syria of ISIS (AlQaeda, etc.).  The same ISIS that USA was ostensibly trying to eliminate. The same bunch that cut off heads and good stuff like this.

General Soleimani, despite being denigrated by American propaganda was trying to bring reconciliation and peace in that part of the world that so needs it.  The very word – PEACE- is anathema to the military complex and to the US government.  Boeing, Raytheon, Lockheed stocks are hitting the roof as a result of this latest crime against the entire world of Islam.  Trump and Israel have murdered more than a mere mortal.  He has become a legend, a martyr, a hero and rallying cry for the enitire millions of Muslims, worldwide.

The cowardly Trump has caused a whirlwind of immense proportions.  If America ever needed a man of intelligence, it is now, or we shall reap that whirlwind.

Thank you, Simple Horseman, for your reply and for your posts which provide so much good common sense and which I always enjoy reading.   I admit I enjoy all Westerns and Wayne was tremendous in his portrayals.  He was about the second best horseback rider (Gary Cooper was first (IMHO) in the business.  He deserves our accolades as a great movie star.  Period.

      Best wishes….V.

Virginia and ALL, I knew someone was going to get sticky about my comparison. I was only referring to the scale of popularity and notoriety. A well liked citizen. Thank you for the additional tid bits of info about Gen Saleimani. "Things we all should know". You're not kidding about the whirl wind that Mr Orange head has caused. The whole thing stinks from top to bottom. And now he threatens hitting 52 "cultural sites" in Iran. Hasn't the USA Inc destroyed enough historical monuments already? All my life I've had a hard time knowing that I'm living in a country that was stolen from the original inhabitants. In my later years those feelings are compounded by the discovery that "my country" is the biggest bully on the planet. I once read a bumper sticker that read: "Be nice to america or we'll bring democracy to your country too". It's hard to make sense of it all when there is no sense to be found…..

Thank you Dane for your great insight on so many issues. The American public for the most part is brainwashed on so many levels these days. First thing any Thinking person should do is question those in power. They have lied to all of us on so many issues. I wonder how many people know about the 1953 coup in Iran to install the Shah. Mohammad Mosaddeq, the elected Prime Minister of Iran who was removed by the CIA in a coup in 1953.

Mosaddeq's overthrow, still given as a reason for the Iranian mistrust of British and American politicians, consolidated the Shah's rule for the next 26 years until the 1979 Islamic revolution. It was aimed at making sure the Iranian monarchy would safeguard the west's oil interests in the country.

    War With Iran

     CHRIS HEDGES

Iraq after our 2003 invasion and occupation has been destroyed as a unified country. Its once-modern infrastructure is in ruins. Electrical and water services are, at best, erratic. There is high unemployment and discontent over widespread government corruption that has led to bloody street protests. Warring militias and ethnic factions have carved out competing and antagonistic enclaves. At the same time, the war in Afghanistan is lost, as the Afghanistan Papers published by The Washington Post detail. Libya is a failed state. Yemen after five years of unrelenting Saudi airstrikes and a blockade is enduring one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters. The “moderate” rebels we funded and armed in Syria at a cost of $500 million, after instigating a lawless reign of terror, have been beaten and driven out of the country. The monetary cost for this military folly, the greatest strategic blunder in American history, is between $5 trillion and $7 trillion

My 298th email, titled: 'Global Climate Chaos within 8 months. Night time highs  / Foehn Winds

Last week Scotland recorded its highest ever winter night time temp of 16.8C. It has been suggested that a Foehn Wind was the cause, but "I hae ma doots":

    1) I know the areas where highs were recorded and looking at the weather and wind charts for that time, it is possible but unlikely; 2) It happened at night; 3) Night time highs that are above day time highs have become quite regular occurrences over the past 3 years, and are far more likely related to the massive methane releases currently going on in the Arctic.

Foehn Winds are renown for adversely affecting people's moods leading to violence and suicides, for causing dramatic snow and ice loss, and for causing and exacerbating wildfires.

I guess we will hear a lot more about "Foehn Winds".

Christmas Eve marked the highest ever melt across the Antarctic continent – approx 15% of the entire surface melted. The production of melt water is 230% higher than the annual average, despite the fact that we are only half way through the melt season.  The Antarctic Polar Vortex is now definitely collapsing, triggering further rapid and irreversible changes to climate systems.

Mythology and ancient history tells us that whenever humans try to control the weather, we cause our functional extinction.

Unless something extraordinary happens, we are in the final decade of a (another?) failed human experiment.

The ongoing intensive, toxic (and therefore extremely profitable for those companies whose business model relies on disease and ill health) geoengineering and atmospheric spraying may have slowed global heating, but because it is a covert operation, the general public has carried on with 'business as usual' and nothing has been achieved to prevent climate catastrophe and our extinction.

  25. Paul Vonharnish says:

The assassination of Qasssen Soleimani is yet another desperate attempt to shore up decaying petrodollar markets and sell more military hardware to “friendly" countries such as Saudi Arabia.  It is also an act of war against a sovereign Nation… Amurikuns continue to suck the corporate breast as trillions of dollars are pumped into false and failing economies.

The Federal "reserve" system and financial interests within Switzerland and the Netherlands; have created an infinite Ponzi scheme over the last 160 years.  Quantitative easing is just another flatulent exercise in futility…

Excerpted from: US Federal Reserve starts “quantitative easing forever” – World Socialist Web Site

    October 19, 2019

"This is why the processes of quantitative easing—starting with the bailout of the banks and financial houses in 2008-9 and the vast expansion of financial assets that followed—have been accompanied by a restructuring of class relations.

In the US, the bailout of the auto companies GM and Chrysler in 2009 by the Obama administration, and supported to the hilt by the UAW bureaucracy, which was a major financial beneficiary, was the start of an offensive against wages and conditions across the board.

In Britain, the austerity drive initiated by the Labor government and continued under the Tories has resulted in the biggest attacks on wages and social conditions going back 200 years. In every country, the working class has experienced stagnant and falling real wages and the destruction of social conditions.

At the same time, social inequality has risen to historically unprecedented levels. Such conditions are incompatible with the maintenance of democratic rights. Accordingly, the vast transfer of wealth to the heights of society over the past decade has seen the development of ever more authoritarian forms of rule and the promotion by the highest levels of the state of ultra right-wing and fascist forces, of which the Trump presidency is only one expression.

I fear, however, that even those thought-provoking words will not shake off the lethargy of American minds and give them an incentive to not only seek further information but actively do something about it.  For  America cannot survive on its present course.  It must shake off the Israeli influence or perish.   It's all right in front of us, if only we could see – much like the aerosol dispersions in our skies – right above us if we would only look.  For those who "do know" do not be afraid to speak up and educate others.  It is a matter of life or death for our country and ourselves – or, for that matter, for the world as we know it.

Thank you, Dane, for your unwavering efforts to make this a better world.  A difficult task that takes a brave and dedicated soul to master.  You have mastered it and we, the beneficiaries, are grateful.

Thanks and appreciation also to Susan F for her outstanding and timely contributions that should answer the question "How did you not know?"

Dane, thank you for an outstanding broadcast. I'm proud that you hit all the hard points of events that have occurred over this last week. There's a lot of folks out there that do tell the truth, "but why do they have to be so long winded about it?" "Give me the facts ma'am, nothing but the facts". The facts as they were/are, taken seriously, could have averted this entire mess we're in. "Profit", I blame profit and covet means to generate society. It's turned us all into a bunch of monkeys(wink to ya Penny). Or so it is and would be with any living being held in captivity…. "Jump through the hoop little doggy", geesh!

Dane briefly mentioned clear cut forests in BC. They're just north of me. BC once had very lax timber harvesting laws. They're coming back to haunt us once again. My immediate region is no different. Given the way things are playing out weather wise this season, I'm certain that we will go from snow melt to fire season in a week, just like last year! It's beyond crazy what this years frost and snow episodes have done to the conifirs, specifically the ponderosa just this "winter" season alone.

I'd like to share a positive story about the past and "clear cuts". Back in my sled dog days. I rode a dog "cart" way more than I rode a sled. I was allowed into areas where no motorized vehicles were allowed. In early winter I did a lot of running at night. (sucks to have a job). One night I was running the dogs through a large area of clear cut that had 3 foot high new growth and ferns. It was a known rest spot to the dogs(it had trees I could tie the cart to), (so they wouldn't take off without me), (grin). I tied the cart to a tree next to the road and as per usual, I walked up through my team to let them know what an awesome time we were sharing. Just as I got to my leader and turned my head around, the light on my hat scanned across about 30 sets of eyes. Elk, all bedded down for a spell. All about 10 to 50 feet from me. As calmly as I could, I made my way back to the cart and untied it. Just as my leaders nose went up and turned right(pointing at the herd of Elk), I shouted "hup!!" and off we went, "wew!" Mike did not need a midnight ride over stumps and brush. Lastly here, and just for fun, or maybe just to point out "the way things used to be". Beaver ponds are a great place to splash down and cool off. "Just ask my dogs"(grin). In the early spring of 93 Skagit county and Whatcom county region had some serious flooding. I used to run a road that paralled the south fork of the Nooksak river just north of Lyman pass. A river fed by Mt Baker. There was a Beaver dam in the road at of coarse the most opportunistic point. They completely diverted a creek and formed a wonderful habitat. It made a great rest stop. That year the floods washed out the Beaver dam. I came across the devastation about a week after the flood. All this was in a restricted zone to motorized vehicles. As the team went through what was once a shallow pond, you could feel the loss I tied the cart to a tree and started pulling as much small log/tree debris as I could from the sides of the road that the Beavers wanted to dam. I criss crossed them across the road where the dam used to be. A week later I came back to a full pond and once again, a good resting place for the dogs. Complete with fresh mud across the dam. Sometimes all we need is a fair start…

Ironic how the humblest of creatures want nothing more than to contribute to life. Creating a platform for life to expand and grow. "Busy as a Beaver" I thank the Creator for them all. They have shaped our world here in north america, literally.

      Good morning Dennie,

      Thank you for your posts.

Please consider that wartime presidents are difficult to unseat. Once possibility is the PTB want Mr. Trump in place for particular reasons and believe war with Iran may help solidify his re-election…. The re-election would not be the primary goal, only the means to further nefarious ends.

  33. Dennie says:

Prof. Michel Chossudovsky:  A Major Conventional War Against Iran is an Impossibility.  Crisis Within the Command Structure:

America’s hegemonic military agenda has reached a dangerous threshold.

The assassination of  IRGC General Soleimani ordered by the President on January 2, 2020 is tantamount to an Act of War against Iran.

President Donald Trump accused Soleimani  of “plotting imminent and sinister attacks”: “We took action last night to stop a war. We did not take action to start a war…. we caught him in the act and terminated him.”

US Defense Secretary Mark T. Esper described it as a “decisive defensive action” while confirming that the operation ordered by Donald Trump had been carried out by the Pentagon. “The game has changed” said Defense Secretary Esper.

    What Next?

Was the assassination of General Soleimani related to Iran’s military presence in Iraq and Tehran’s support of the Baghdad government to the detriment of US interests in Iraq?

Or was it related to the broader Middle East war agenda?

Or was it both?  The battle for Iraq is part of the broader war.  And the US is being in a sense “shoved out” of Iraq.

While war against Iran is on the drawing board of the Pentagon, under present conditions, an Iraq style all out Blitzkrieg (conventional theater war) involving the simultaneous deployment of ground, air and naval  forces is an impossibility.

While the US does not have the ability to carry out such a project, various forms of “limited warfare” have been contemplated including targeted missile attacks, so-called “bloody nose operations” (including the use of tactical nuclear weapons), as well as acts of political destabilization and color revolutions (which are already ongoing).

For several reasons, US hegemony in the Middle East has been weakened largely as a result of the evolving structure of military alliances.

And it is precisely because of US weaknesses in the realm of conventional warfare that a nuclear option could be envisaged.  Such an option would inevitably lead to escalation.

Ignorance and stupidity are factors in the decision making process. According to foreign policy analyst Edward Curtin “Crazy people do crazy things”.

Who are the crazy people in key decision-making positions?

America's "Limited Wars"– Are They Good for Israel?:  When is a war not a war? Apparently in the minds of some folks in Washington if it is a “single strike” or a “limited attack” it is really okay, with or without the consent of Congress as required by Article 1, Section 8, of the Constitution of the United States.

The Founders had wanted to take away from the chief executive the ability to go to war, a power which the kings in Europe had abused, but the current rulers of America have chosen to ignore the wisdom of the framers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They have done so by wordsmithing what they are doing and somehow attacking another country has become generally regarded as not really war at all, just a reminder to bad guys of what Washington might be capable of if it really gets angry.

    From globalresearch.ca:

The United States is now at war with Iran in a conflict that could easily have been avoided and it will not end well. There will be no declaration of war coming from either side, but the assassination of Iranian Quds Force Commander General Qassem Soleimaniand the head of Kata’ib Hezbollah Abu Mehdi Muhandis by virtue of a Reaper drone strike in Baghdad will shift the long-simmering conflict between the two nations into high gear. Iran cannot let the killing of a senior military officer go unanswered even though it cannot directly confront the United States militarily. But there will be reprisals and Tehran’s suspected use of proxies to stage limited strikes will now be replaced by more damaging actions that can be directly attributed to the Iranian government. As Iran has significant resources locally, one can expect that the entire Persian Gulf region will be destabilized.

MONDOWEISS:   … Look at who is pleased by the attack, Israel. Israel’s top general has lately declared that some wars are good, and Israel may need to strike civilian targets in Lebanon to set back Hezbollah, the Iranian ally. Even “Peace Now” praises U.S. aggression. The first expert quoted in the New York Times coverage of the attack is Israel lobbyist Mark Dubowitz, and he is very happy.
“This is devastating for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, the regime and [Supreme Leader Ayatollah] Khamenei’s regional ambitions… For 23 years, [Suleimani] has been the equivalent of the J.S.O.C. commander [Joint Special Operations Command], the C.I.A. director and Iran’s real foreign minister,” Mr. Dubowitz said… “He is irreplaceable and indispensable” to Iran’s military establishment.

No doubt Sheldon Adelson, Trump’s biggest donor at well over $100 million to Republican causes, is also pleased by the strike. Six years ago we broke the news that Adelson called on Obama to hit Iran with a nuclear strike. Adelson said at Yeshiva University in New York:
"What are we going to negotiate about? I would say ‘Listen, you see that desert out there, I want to show you something.’ …You pick up your cell phone and you call somewhere in Nebraska and you say, ‘OK let it go.’ And so there’s an atomic weapon, goes over ballistic missiles, the middle of the desert, that doesn’t hurt a soul. Maybe a couple of rattlesnakes, and scorpions, or whatever. Then you say, ‘See! The next one is in the middle of Tehran. So, we mean business. You want to be wiped out? Go ahead and take a tough position and continue with your nuclear development."
These days Adelson gets to make such arguments right into the president’s ear.
Trump knew just what he was doing tonight, and he saw it as enhancing his reelection hopes– even if it means more American coffins coming off planes.

      Hi, Susan,

Thank you for giving us the Mondoweiss article on Adelson.  Timely and informative.  But, may I point out, just for the sake of clarity, that Mondoweiss is not a Palestinian website, although it is a good source of Palestinian news, along with current USA and other world news.  Weiss, the founder of the website is, in fact, Jewish.  His motivation for the website was to allow an opportunity for Jewish voices who disagreed with Zionist policy and the treatment of Palestinians to be heard.  That, at least, is what he purports.

The United States must get the hell out of the Near and Middle East.  We are there for the sole purpose of fighting Israel's wars and maniacal aspirations to gain more and more territory, no matter how many GIs are killed in the doing, or how many Arabs are slaughtered or how many ancient countries are smashed to smithereens.  At some point, this country will have to pay for that folly – it is bound to happen. Let us hope that some sanity will prevail before then.

      At what price – Israel?

    • Virginia says:

Susan, thank you for your interesting reply (about Mondoweiss, etc.).  I remembered you once mentioned living in New York City for some years and can understand your friendship with many anti-Zionist Jews.  I, too, although a native Californian, have had long-distance correspondence with many well-meaning Jews who abhorred the idea of nationalizing (Israel) Judaism by adopting Zionism in its place and the very creation of "Israel" as a state.   One of the most distinguished, sincere, self-sacrificing Jewish men I had the privilege of corresponding with was the late Dr. Alfred Lilienthal, author, graduate of Cornell Univ, correspondent, who was adamantly opposed to the Jewish state and treatment of the indigenous Palestinian population.  He authored the "Zionist Connection" (1978), probably the greatest book ever written on Near East.  The author and book were given high praise by another Jewish anti-zionist – the late Moshe Menuhin and his son and famed violinist, the late Yehudi Menuhin.   So, although hidden from view in present media, there are many Jews who oppose Israel.  They just need to speak up without fear of reprisal.  It is my hope that they do it, now.

      Wishing you well…..V.

The Revenge For The Assassination Of Qassem Soleimani
    Moon of Alabama / Jan.4, 2020
The Trump administration is telling fairytales about its murder of Major General Qassem Soleimani. He was not planing any "imminent attacks" on the U.S. or its interests in Iraq. Reports which claim that while calling Katyusha rockets "sophisticated weapons" can obviously be ignored. In no way was Soleimani a legitimate target for a U.S. attack. No Orwellian State Department briefing can change that.
Fact is that Trump is following the plan of the Foundation of the Defense of Democracy (FDD) which was originally founded as EMET (Hebrew for "truth"), "to provide education to enhance Israel’s image in North America." Undercover video from Al Jazeerah caught the Israeli ex-intel official Sima Vakhnin-Gil in 2017 saying "We have FDD" when she was asked how Israel lobbies for its interests.
FDD is an Israeli government front group. Trump mega donor Bernard “Iran is the devil” Marcus pays 1/3 of its budget. FDD advisor Richard Goldberg was appointed to National Security Council to push for attacking Iran. FDD continued to pay his salary.
FDD was tasked by Israel to instigate a U.S. war on Iran. Following FDD's plans Trump and his advisors are trying to provoke Iran to retaliate in a way that allows them to launch such a war.

  43. V. Susan Ferguson says:

VSF:  In 1997, Alex Carey wrote the book “Taking the Risk out of Democracy: Corporate Propaganda versus Freedom and Liberty” which revealed the fact that  — ‘Americans are the most propagandized people of any nation.’  What follows are excerpts of my review of Alex Carey’s book around 17 years back.

Taking the Risk out of Democracy:
Corporate Propaganda versus Freedom and Liberty

    by Alex Carey
"The common man' …  has never been so confused, mystified and baffled; his most intimate conceptions of himself, of his needs, and indeed the very nature of human nature, have been subject to skilled manipulation and construction in the interests of corporate efficiency and profit."  We the American people have been subjected to a 75-year long multi-billion dollar intentional assault on our freedom to think and to choose.
"… propaganda techniques have been developed and deployed (in the United States)… to control and deflect the purposes of the domestic electorate in a democratic country in the interests of the privileged segments of that society."
     What is propaganda?
"Propaganda is the management of collective attitudes by the manipulation of significant symbols… Collective attitudes are amenable to many modes of alteration… intimidation… economic coercion… drill. But their arrangement and rearrangement occurs principally under the impetus of significant symbols; and the technique of using significant symbols for this purpose is propaganda."    (Laswell, Bradson, and Janowitz 1953:776-80).
These significant symbols are the catch phrases by which we human beings can be aroused to anger, to go to war, or merely to consume. Phrases like the American Way, the Free Enterprise System, the American Dream, and the global economy are meant to empower our faith — as opposed to creeping socialism, the red menace, and a national threat.
Significant symbols are "symbols with real power over emotional reactions, ideally symbols of the Sacred and the Satanic."
People are polarized by these symbols. They see life in terms of good and bad, black and white, and thus are more easily manipulated. The "enemy" out there may indeed seem evil. But in the solitude of our own hearts, we know that we are all a mix of both. None of us is so clearly saint or sinner. Instead of emotionally polarizing we could have a dialogue, a discussion; and yet, it seems we can be manipulated by propaganda into thinking almost anything.

Alex Carey suggests that we Americans might be the most brain washed country on the planet! One professor in Carey's book, Professor Harwood Childs, states, "Americans are the most propagandized people of any nation."

In the early days of World War I, we the America people – like any intelligent group of human beings – didn't want to go to war. So we had to be convinced, or coerced, and this was done very effectively by a campaign launched by President Woodrow Wilson, Walter Lippman (an eminent journalist), and Edward Bernays (who just happened to be the nephew of Sigmund Freud).  Lippman and Bernays were truly brilliant at propaganda – brainwashing. Bernays is famous for saying, "If we understand the mechanisms and motives of the group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing it." Bernays called this "engineering consent."

The reason none of us know that these things are going on is because none of us is capable of thinking like this!  The use of intentionally deceptive propaganda [Lying] has been going on in the USA since before most of us were born.
Every man, woman and child on the planet now has a right to shop at a mall and eat burgers & fries, whether they want to or not. Was that in the Bill of Rights? Oh, yes, of course "the pursuit of happiness" is—having more things!

In 1927, Harold Lasswell wrote "Propaganda Techniques in World War I" and suggested that, "familiarity with the behavior of the ruling public (meaning those who had so easily succumbed to the propaganda) has bred contempt… as a consequence, despondent democrats turned elitist, no longer trusting intelligent public opinion, and therefore should themselves determine how to make up the public mind, how to bamboozle and seduce in the name of the public good…"
As Alex Carey points out, "Propaganda has become a profession. The modern world is busy developing a corps of men who do nothing but study the ways and means of changing minds or binding minds to their convictions."

The traditional Sanskrit texts say this about our current era:
*People will prefer to choose false ideas.
*Base [low minded] men who have gained a certain amount of learning (without having the virtues necessary for its use) will be esteemed as sages.
*Thieves will become kings, and kings will be the thieves.
*Rulers will confiscate property and use it badly. They will cease to protect the people.

There is nothing in our culture that encourages a person to think independently. Tell your family and friends that you are going off to think, and they will think you are crazy.  What would happen if the human species were free? What would happen if we were not coerced, herded, and manipulated? What if each of us wanted to and had time to think, to become who were are, to cultivate our uniqueness and commune with our Source. What might we become? Is that what ‘they’ are afraid of? They must be afraid of something to have expended so much energy, money, and time all these years to keep us in such a narrow frame of expression.

These bozos who specialize in controlling and brain-washing us can only despise themselves more than they so obviously despise and distrust us.  Next time you spend a few hours absorbing mindless entertainment-and-advertising (they are never separate) designed to make you go out and consume more, more, more — stop for just a minute and think who you might be. The corporatist elite continues to get away with the lies and the contempt.  Isn't it time that we the American people grew out of our adolescent denial and faced our own demons? If we confront our responsibility for our freedom, we might not lose it.
